18 years (Patreon)

I really debated whether to post this up cause it's original art and lets be real, everyone here knows me for my fanart and not my original art, which is absolutely fine!
But despite trying to make myself feel better about my art by doing this redraw to help shake off that artblock/slump I've been in since July; it unfortunately had the opposite negative effect.

Don't get me wrong, looking at both of these side by side it looks impressive the difference but feelings of "is this all I can do after 18yrs?" was a question on my mind.
So yeah, sometimes despite your best intentions to make yourself feel better, to connect to your art, to try and pull yourself out of an art slump or burnout, sometimes you dig yourself further down with no idea what to do.
But then again, since when was art progress ever been linear.
