So now that I'm back at home and am recovering from my affliction, I've had more time to look at Ooze Wizard Apprentice and start planning what's to come next in the grand scheme of things.

One of these plans involves another revision of the game. I know that some people get restless with this, but there's a lot of extraneous code, code that could bug later versions of the game, that probably should be handled sooner than later. That is not to say I won't keep plugging away at the current version that is being offered, but there will be some overhauls to help incorporate new elements I hope to bring to light over time. So the revision will probably be a side project as I continue to leak updates into OWA 0.4.

With that in mind, I'm going to have to redo the quests to make it compliant with the new spells learned under Momo. This gives me a chance to condense the coding and fix certain elements that might be detrimental overall. It also gives me a chance to mess around with arrays in the game, further reducing variable bloat. And it may provide an opportunity to provide maps for all the people who have been clamoring for them during certain quests (Haunted Mansion being one that was singled out).

Others might have realized that there's currently a short unfinished path at the start of the game that follows Phaera's Apprenticeship under Momo. While this is going to see updates from time to time, it serves another purpose in that it will serve as a bit of a testing ground for the revision's adjustments, most importantly, the Humor System, which will track the main character's learning and possible corruption. This is why you see four options under Momo's Chapter Choices, to encompass this new approach and to help figure out Phaera's personality.

Lastly, I've had a number of projects that haven't seen the light of day. Heart of Thieves is the only other project beside Ooze Wizard Apprentice to escape this vortex of unreleased...-ness. I intend to rectify that if I can, so I may post brief snippets of other work to Patreon as a way of getting my work out there. I also might pick up work on things like Heart of Thieves again (because Lord only knows when was the last time I did anything constructive for that).

Thanks for listening to me bellyache and pontificate about future plans. I hope you all stick around to see what happens next!

Glad you're back and I like the idea of going back and making sure your foundation is set the way you like before you build higher.
