Weekly Update (4-15-2024) (Patreon)

First off, I wanted to share a bit of art! The artist doing Alexander's portraits shared it as an apology for how long it took her to finish. It's a bit too happy to really be something I can use for anything, but I still rather like it and will count it as our first piece of fanart. XD
Anyway, I've been hard at work inserting the new portraits. It's going much faster than I honestly expected, so I'll probably be done with my first pass pretty soon. I may end up releasing a version of that later this week so people can have a look if they're so inclined. At this point, I'm only waiting on the title screen for the new art stuff.
In addition, I've gone back through an added character busts where appropriate. Ones I have and have added include Somnus, Lorena (with her new gold recolor), Sindarion (with his new black recolor), Grandmaster Gerhardt, Ophelia, Despoina, and Antipater, plus the new Alexander and Ligaea ones. Ones I'd like to add but don't have the assets for are Duke Myron and King Anselm. I'm also going to change the book on Alexander's desk that has the outdated Prince's Command information into a place you can review busts if desired.
Another thing I'm thinking about is adding a little more mechanical depth to Sindarion. The changes I've made so far have helped, but I think he still lacks a bit of the fun/cool factor that everyone else has. To start, I'm adding some bonus TP for him when you start a fight as an ambush. I've also lowered the cost of Perfect Focus significantly, and I'm considering making it auto-activate if he's in stealth, it's off cooldown, and an attack would have knocked him out of stealth. In addition, I'm thinking of making some of his skills have separate stealth and non-stealth versions that replace each other in the menu.
Right now, my thinking is to make a non-stealthed version of Backstab that does its old damage (and no Cover pierce), then upgrades to the new one in stealth, and a stealth version of Dagger Strike that basically instantly causes poison ticks (each hit would reduce remaining poison duration, but also deal the damage from the lost duration immediately). Throwing Dagger is getting a buff, always applies active poison, and a small cooldown to compensate. I've also increased the chances of applying poison on Fan of Knives. Hopefully these things will make him feel a bit more engaging.
