Break is over, work resuming. XD Finished Daybreak 2, not as good as the first game but that's a high bar. I posted my thoughts in more detail on Discord if anyone is interested.

For today's first order of business, we have some fanart of Eris, drawn by Acexion from the discord!

I think it came out pretty well, especially the hair and dress! Have more art to share next week, but I'd rather space things out.

There's always some inertia on getting back into the swing of things, but hopefully won't prove too bad this time. One of the projects I'm working on/considering right now is something I wouldn't mind some thoughts on.

Specifically, I'm thinking of adjusting Ligaea's skill setup a bit. I want to move some of her skills to a new "Utility" category for better organization (Second Wind, Take Cover, Wind Veil, and any future skills in this vein). This will avoid her (current, at least) set of skills overflowing one page and hopefully make it easier to keep track of them.

For reference, this is her current setup:

with Wind Veil and Blazing Arrow off the page.

I'm going to add a new Bow Art to replace Second Wind in the skill order so it doesn't mess up the familiar order too much (and also give her a TP sink spender for those who end up with a lot of TP and little to spend it on). The adjusted order will replace Second Wind with new skill (Bloodletter), probably put Blazing Shot in place of Take Cover, and move the three defensives to new category.

My main question here is: Do you think it would be better to retcon this change in from the start and learn the new skill somewhere along the way, or wait and have it go into effect when she gets the upgraded class I've alluded to? Right now, I lean toward this change alongside her upgraded class because a) having to wonder how new skill might affect old combat balance, and (b) Second Wind is a starting skill in the current setup, and the new skill would likely be learned around Chapter 4, so new players would get used to the wrong skill order for a while until it was learned (since it will be taking Second Wind's slot). Main argument for retcon is that new players are accustomed to the new skill category from the start.

Anyway, this isn't a poll per se--more something that my mind could be changed toward retcon by if there are arguments I'm not considering, so feel free to share any thoughts you have.

Speaking of polls, the Patreon Poll (for count+) for whether to allow route-specific steam achieved went in favor of allowing, so I probably will start adding those this version. That said, it was a 62/38 split, so a number of people were against I may offer options in the Temporal Rift to activate achieves for other branches (possibly only on patreon versions, undecided). But the achieves do have the useful function of signposting what's possible to players, which I think is beneficial.

Anyway, those are my misc thoughts as I get to work on v0.16. Looking forward to a fair number of things this update!
