Weekly Update (10-30-2023) (Patreon)

A decently productive week, even if the stuff I've been working on isn't really what I'd like to be right now.  I would like to grumble about that in more detail, but that would be spoilers to even say why I'm grumbling, so I'll resist XD

Public release of v0.9 this friday. I need to sit down and make a few changes to it before then. Mainly, I'll be adding another book item, "Alexander's Notes," early in the game so that people can review a basic overview of major kingdoms and stuff like that, which I'll give to old saves retroactively in the v0.10 transition. There will also be fixes for two issues in the last version of v0.8. No need to replay if you don't want to, though--you'll get the fixes on v0.10's transition screen when it's done if not.

Anyway, since I can't reveal what I've been working on, instead have a preview of some touched up facesets and sprites (righthand one) for Duke Myron that will be going into the v0.9 public and the v0.10 release. There will also be some other minor graphical updates, like new animations for Cloak Spin and Searing Wind. If there are any such minor graphical elements you feel could use a touchup in a future version, let me know and I'll at least consider it.
