EDIT: just realized, maybe this is a save file compatibility issue? That was on a save from a prev. version. I'm playing a new save now and I'll report back if the error occurs. ORIGINAL: Yay, hypno! Possibly unrelated to hypno, a bug occurred. I wasn't paying too much attention so I may be misremembering, but I believe it was after i decided not to do anything during a promotion opportunity. I'm not 100% sure though because I'd already done so previously with no error. After this error, everything was blank white and the only thing i could do was close the game and load a save. Regardless, this is the text: Error when attempting to finish scene V.e. Please report this to the developer as a bug including the text of the message below. Exception was: java.lang.NullPointerException: null r.d.a(ManActor.java:153) r.d.(ManActor.java:69) r.d.a(ManActor.java:62) at.j.a(HypnoIntroEvent.java:54) ad.a.a(Activity.java:1079) ac.k.a(WeekActivities.java:41) ac.k.a(WeekActivities.java:55) ad.a.a(Activity.java:91) ah.a.a(AbstractEvent.java:53) n.a.b(AbstractScene.java:88) l.l.actionPerformed(ScenePanel.java:349) javax.swing.AbstractButton.fireActionPerformed(Unknown Source) javax.swing.AbstractButton$Handler.actionPerformed(Unknown Source) javax.swing.DefaultButtonModel.fireActionPerformed(Unknown Source) javax.swing.DefaultButtonModel.setPressed(Unknown Source) javax.swing.AbstractButton.doClick(Unknown Source) javax.swing.AbstractButton.doClick(Unknown Source) l.l$1.actionPerformed(ScenePanel.java:84) javax.swing.SwingUtilities.notifyAction(Unknown Source) javax.swing.JComponent.processKeyBinding(Unknown Source) javax.swing.KeyboardManager.fireBinding(Unknown Source) javax.swing.KeyboardManager.fireKeyboardAction(Unknown Source) javax.swing.JComponent.processKeyBindingsForAllComponents(Unknown Source) javax.swing.JComponent.processKeyBindings(Unknown Source) javax.swing.JComponent.processKeyEvent(Unknown Source) java.awt.Component.processEvent(Unknown Source) java.awt.Container.processEvent(Unknown Source) java.awt.Component.dispatchEventImpl(Unknown Source) java.awt.Container.dispatchEventImpl(Unknown Source) java.awt.Component.dispatchEvent(Unknown Source) java.awt.KeyboardFocusManager.redispatchEvent(Unknown Source) java.awt.DefaultKeyboardFocusManager.dispatchKeyEvent(Unknown Source) java.awt.DefaultKeyboardFocusManager.preDispatchKeyEvent(Unknown Source) java.awt.DefaultKeyboardFocusManager.typeAheadAssertions(Unknown Source) java.awt.DefaultKeyboardFocusManager.dispatchEvent(Unknown Source) java.awt.Component.dispatchEventImpl(Unknown Source) java.awt.Container.dispatchEventImpl(Unknown Source) java.awt.Window.dispatchEventImpl(Unknown Source) java.awt.Component.dispatchEvent(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventQueue.dispatchEventImpl(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventQueue.access$500(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventQueue$3.run(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventQueue$3.run(Unknown Source) java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) java.security.ProtectionDomain$JavaSecurityAccessImpl.doIntersectionPrivilege(Unknown Source) java.security.ProtectionDomain$JavaSecurityAccessImpl.doIntersectionPrivilege(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventQueue$4.run(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventQueue$4.run(Unknown Source) java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) java.security.ProtectionDomain$JavaSecurityAccessImpl.doIntersectionPrivilege(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventQueue.dispatchEvent(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpOneEventForFilters(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEventsForFilter(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEventsForHierarchy(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(Unknown Source) java.awt.EventDispatchThread.run(Unknown Source)

Also, found a small typo! When booking the more dominant(?) hypnotist as a virgin, he asks if you're ready to give up your virginity. When you say no, there's a small grammatical error "Arlo says you that the answer you gave him wasn't the truth. " Typo later: "Listening passively, you head him command you to get into bed and part your legs for him." Missing the word eyes here: "Lying on your back with your brown gazing unfocused at the ceiling," After the hypnotist finishes: missing space between two words ", fogging your mind, and you find yourself lying therebereft of thoughts."

Thanks! This is related to the save file being from an old version. The hypno event is looking for the NPCs with the EVIL_HYPNOTIST and GOOD_HYPNOTIST traits, and erroring when they aren't found because they're created at game-start and your game was started in an older version. What *should* happen is that the event simply shouldn't happen if required NPCs aren't present. I'll fix that but you won't get the hypno event in your game. If you want to see it, then adding the traits to a jerk (for evil hypnotist) and an average/caring/romantic male npc (for the good one) will enable the event to fire. This would be possible via savefile editing or by applying traits with a custom scene. It might be a bit of a faff though, so it'd only be worthwhile if you really want to see the event without starting a new game

Makes sense! Thanks for the explanation and sorry for wasting your time haha. I usually start new games pretty frequently but that one was fresh, which is why I just kept going with it. It's no big deal to just keep going on the fresh file i made at all :)
