Now let me explain. I already know the correct answer.I get asked all the time how I pick the colours for everyone in my animations, but I think the short answer of "vibes-based" is no clearer than right now. I want everyone to answer (blind to everyone else's answers) and I'm CONVINCED everyone will say the same colour. Let's find out.P.S. I will not be changing my answer if it turns out I'm wrong.P.P.S. I can't believe I haven't made a Jess character yet, that's mad.P.P.P.S. Don't change your answer once you've picked one, for the integrity of the poll.

I know in my heart I’m right and when it’s a completely different color I’m just going to know you’re wrong

Noah Goodman

I was about to say "hey, you were right, everyone did vote the same!" Then I realized only I had voted yet. Was between purple and yellow, and slightly second guessing my pick now if it was too influenced by the image selected.

Whatever shade of green eucalyptus is, if you ask me, is what Jess McKenna should be!

Johanna Blomstedt

Drop the buzzfeed quiz so every viewer can know which colour they would be animated in

August

I'm uncultured and have no idea who this person is but my heart yelled green so here we are 😂

2026-09-08 11:00 My initial thought was pink, but it wasnt an option so I went with my secondary feeling of Orange. I'm loving the spread on the votes.

I tried to reason my way to an answer, but I just can't, it has to be vibes based. I feel like Jess should be the same shade of yellow Julia is. I don't know why, but I feel strongly that is the case.

You have done a Jess McKenna character? Orphan Justifies Stealing Food (and More Crimes) - Make Some Noise Animated

Jam 141

Well my favourite colour is blue so everyone else is wrong :)

DeepBlueInk

Ah true yeah, I meant Jess herself, my bad on the wording

El_lucero

First choice was like a light pink for the playfulness, but since pink isn't an option, yellow definitely seemed like the next best choice. But like a golden-rod yellow.

Wais Hossain

The real answer is that Jess is all the colors (like a rainbow)

Kappa

I've done my research (watched a supercut of her best moments to have the freshest vibes in my head before voting)

Miriam Rosemary

My first thought was blue, but after looking at the image properly, I couldn't unsee green... so other than vibes, it depends on what they're wearing and the colors around them, I guess...

Miriam Dyck

I know I’m wrong cause I was going to say it’s brown… and then that wasn’t an option 🙈

Jason M. Bryant

I'm a little biased because even if we haven't seen Jess in DBI's animations, we've seen her street rat.

Naughty Shepherd

I went with 🍊 because I couldn’t remember anyone else being 🍊

Bobberation

Hmm welp my vote is.... not one of the popular ones lol

Yassified_Paperclip

I went and watched 4 minutes of random Jess MSN clips and.... I'm still not confident but I voted orange 🧡🍊 I think it's either orange, yellow, or purple. 🧡💛💜

Jam Briar

I mean you gotta go with the colour of the street rat who has an adorable sister with a cough (and also a top hat and monocle apparently but that's not important-)

Tortilla Chips Art & Writing

me: ooh.... hmm me: yellow! no, blue! no, green??? hm, or maybe orange? no, orange is definitely wrong.... ah, ill go yellow since that was my first instinct

Q Smith

You guys are being influenced by the shirt

Mandy Warneke

i ALSO initially thought pink but when it wasn’t an option vibes told me to choose green.

epinardscaramel

I picked Yellow but hesitated with Blue 🤔🤞
