Yeah, Thanos' plan does not bear a ton of scrutiny, no matter how well Josh Brolin plays him.

Leesah

Oh my gosh thank you I was just talking today about the "I saved you" line and its like - wait a minute...

Stephen Notley

And like, where did he get that 50% number? Would it have been 40% if he'd gotten the whole glove way back in Avengers?

The BabaDuck

Doctor Holmes doing wild hand motions to sort through his mind palace and come to the genius conclusion that... he shouldn’t give a mass murderer his magic rock.

Alex Woodcock-Clarke

While I love your videos I don't want to see this one because it's a spoiler for the larger one to come - when will that be uploaded do you think?

Jenny Nicholson

I'd really like to post it tomorrow, but it might be the day after. Hopefully no later than that

Alex Woodcock-Clarke

Take your time. Anticipation is almost as pleasurable as realisation, as any ice cream eater will tell you.

Rob Gundermann

I really like this format! But I still have an image in my head from your last video of Jeff frantically running through a cabin stabbing everyone while screaming at the top of his lungs "go to sleep!" just because he was annoyed that they stayed up late.

The fertility plan was a plot point in Utopia and the latest Dan Brown novel I read (Inferno; there's probably been more since then). If recent history is any indicator, it'll only take, like, 80 years for a halved population to double again. So is Thanos just going to sit around snapping his fingers every 80 years? Also I like that his conversation partner is Strange in this one. Of all the characters to pick, his outfit is probably the snazziest and his hand motions the jazziest so he's a fantastic choice.

Alex Woodcock-Clarke

Is it just the galaxy he's going to bisect? Or the whole universe? Because the universe is infinite and so its resources are infinite.

I absolutely love all of your content, but I was starting to miss the skits a bit so I'm thrilled to see this!

Ken Hall

Not even. Halving today's population only takes us back about 45 years to the early 70s. He'd need to kill 90% just to get us back to the mid 18th century.

Ken Hall

My personal favorite terrible idea for population control is from a Joe Haldeman novel... government-enforced world-wide homosexuality.

Blue Corn

My computer was being glitchy and kept restarting the video at the 28 second mark. So I actually thought your spoof was why didn't Dr Strange defeat Thanos like he did Dormammu. Lol

Brennan Smith

I get why they didn't go with "I really want to impress my ex, who is the embodiment of death itself" but I wish they had. Pretty much any plan in which killing lots of people isn't an end unto itself breaks down once something as powerful as the Infinity Gauntlet is introduced.

Today is my birthday and a new video is a fantastic gift!

Chris Dearing

His real end goal is to harden the hearts of the 50% who survive, after they realize how better off they are. He's basically a Care Bear villain.

Zero

Your Thanos and Doctor Strange are on point.

Ah, The Forever War. One of the more interesting Wikipedia articles I've ever read while pretending to work.

David Nadler

Biggest miss of the movie - Starlord is facing off against RDJ and Cumberbatch and doesn't say "No shit, Sherlocks" at any point.
