Ramble: Top 10 YouTube Videos

Comments

Pontus Knast

Doesn't Jenny say in the video that it's like a McDonalds item? I could be misremembering though, but I always thought there were more of them

Jake Williams

Truly obsessed with how the first 8 videos are funny, esoteric little niches of YouTube and then the JayStation entry hits you with some of the most dystopian shit you’ve ever heard

Veronica

I must have missed that when I watched this! But yeah, apparently they're called "apple pie trees". Truly horrifying to know that there's an entire army of these things

Vaelyhn

33 minutes into this video and I'm now on a multiple hours long detour of Leon the lobster videos.

a star is storm

i’m here like a million years late to say that jaystation actually lives in toronto and if his videos are filmed in the winter (like u can see a ton of snow on the ground in the video with the alexia memorial) it is possible that when it’s all the way dark out its possible it’s actually like 5pm LOL

a star is storm

if you haven’t already seen it, drew gooden has a great video about the “faking my girlfriend’s death” drama if you’re interested

Patrick

Super random but has anyone mentioned yet that the apple jack suit is fetish wear? Like it’s bondage using a fursuit. The persons arms and legs are bent and they walk on their elbows and knees because that’s part of the kink thing i suppose. Lots of them at MFF last year, would definitely suggest checking that out if you’re into that kind of stuff

coyote

I just watched this video for the first time and also just wanted to comment about the applejack quadsuit lol. They're actually kind of controversial in the furry community bc some people consider them fetish gear and therefore argue they shouldn't be at cons (which I disagree w but whatever.) And i agree that they're awesome

coyote

also the edited star wars clip kylo ren voice changer part made me laugh so hard i hurt my neck

CSJ

Found it, and I’m so glad to see that everyone listened to Jenny and respectfully didn’t comment. You’re good people

Ramona

I have such a distinct memory of watching the Claymation Harry Potter movie while desperately waiting for the actual movie to be released! Much like Voldemort hiding the diadem in the RoR, I did not realize other people had watched those videos

Meagan

How do you ever insinuate that I don't know who Alexis Neirs is!!!

Robert Romero Jr

“I need to stop doing 3-4 hour projects.” No jenny don’t stop. Keep going you’re doing great.

RinleyCoyote

I had to pause and take a full break after the kylo ren bit because I was fully sobbing XD

DechAmim

My jaw hit the floor when I saw Guptill included, Jenny proving her immaculate taste yet again 😭 (Jenny's rants already put me in Hot Chick Heaven, but now it's finally official 🙏) The nice part about Jaystation being from Toronto is that he probably filmed his videos around 5 or 6, but yes he almost certainly paid a fortune for that giant condo in this overpriced city, lol

notgerardway

if you want a pet lobster then crayfish are pretty much just tiny ones, there are even really small crayfish you can get too that are so cute >.< my partner keeps crayfish and shrimp in a couple tanks and they arent super difficult creatures to care for, their shrimp tank has some mini crayfish and some algae eaters and a few shrimp varieties, and with some real plants in there and plenty of hiding spaces it is basically its own functioning mini ecosystem. 10/10 would recommend if you are willing to learn about taking care of the little guys. if they have real plants and are comfy enough they even make little shrimp and crayfish babies and its so cute!!!!!!!!!

Liv941129

I watched that reality show at the time and even then I thought her mom was kind of weird. I was pretty young, but even then I could see her mom wasn't very good at parenting. There were moments where you could tell she clearly knew all three girls consumed alcohol (although they cut any mention of drugs in the show) and they were like 15-16. She also had a weird culty thing going with their "prayer sessions" and the way she spoke about what their destiny was. Idk, I only saw it that one time, never even connected it to the Bling Ring thing until years later, and it made such an impression on me. It's no surprise at all to me that that's what was going on behind the scenes (and sometimes on camera)

gummi kind of likes garfield

btw i saw this comment when i first watched this video and i became obsessed with finding the original video. i ended up finding the instagram of the guy who made it and he literally mailed me a dvd. if you still wanna watch the whole thing i can probably try to make it digital lol. my email is gummirothschild@gmail.com

Alex Fairhurst

Please can I have hint. I'm desperate to see it in full, but I also promise not to comment or like it.

Ontario Traffic Man

The Venus flytrap video is definitely not filmed in LA, at the start there's Canada Trust and Scotiabank in the background, which are only found in Canada, and in their hall the exit sign is an icon of a green running man, which is the standard in Canada, not the US. Based on the architecture my guess is it's Toronto.

Leif Thomas

I was just rewatching this and noticed that there’s a van in the apple pie tree video with a logo that says Crosses for Losses. I did a little googling, and apparently the man in the video, Greg Zanis, would construct crosses to honor people who were victims of shootings. The first mass shooting he built crosses for was Columbine. Unfortunately Greg passed away in 2020. Anyway, Jenny’s video is pretty old now, I’m sure no one will see this comment. But if you do, just know that Greg Zanis seemed like a very sweet man.

Claire Hunter

Jenny! Girl JayStation is Toronto through and through

madelong

that star wars audition video changed my life

Maggie Chen

Going back and watching this is funny because I cannot believe how long the barbie video has been in the works. I know it will be fantastic.

Fintan

1 hour ramble yes please

Totesnotasheep

Yay!!! Jenny ramble and a snow day, what more could you need?

Winona Honey

I feel like I’m about to fall down a biiiig youtube rabbit hole

CoffeePoints

pls let ContraPoints be on this list 🤞

Dapper Gent

Ramblin' Jenny is back!🙌

Rita D.

“This is Alexis Neiers calling” def has a cemented place in pop culture history, I feel like people still quote that all the time!

Parker Nisbett

the (im assuming) sisters bewildered expression in the first video is so on point

Babs

“No one watched this show” me who’s watched Pretty Wild a dozen times “THEY WERE LITTLE BROWN BEBE SHOES”

Dylan O Sporrer

After seeing the title, I was very much hoping every video listed would just be a different Jenny video. But not Jenny providing production info on them, just her pretending like she didn't realize she was talking about her own videos. Like: "Number 10: Trapped in a Island With Josh Hutcherson . This video is great. I really appreciate the relaxed conversational tone and the way that you can tell she found the juiciest moments to cover while skipping what must be several pages of fanfiction filler. Number 9: Quest for the Largest Spider..."

Icarus

Love this video!!!

Jennifer W

that Sonic video surely must be satire imo. "the size of an average human mother" is way too perfectly weird to be sincere

Ky

Shutup and eat your ap-pel (are there apples in starwars? I can't remember)

Magical Girl Mel

Oh wow. Adam the Woo is such a throwback for me. I used to watch a ton of his stuff with my dad because he was interested in getting to see all the behind the scenes stuff he wished he could have snuck into on our family Disney trips and I loved getting to see the things that were just left behind by theme parks. It's been years since I watched his stuff, though. Him slipping into the Nickelodeon building was ne of my favorites along with the triceratops experience. I might have to get caught up on what he's been up to. The old theme song is burned into my brain though. I just have to say his name and my sisters and I can launch into the whole thing.

ImslendermanAMA

I really think the sonic video is earnest. especially if you look around at his other content you get the sense that guptill86 is just a peculiar guy and he just wants to tell u about his top 10 hottest female sonic characters

Remington

I love the red YouTube logo inspired look

Luis

I'm leaving a comment even though I was told not to! This ramble was a fantastic way to start the new year I'm going to watch all these videos. The Kylo Ren clip was genius omg :D Also did you see the Beanie Baby documentary on HBO? I hope it doesn't affect your upcoming video.

Eric Reid

I hate to admit this, but Jay Station was and is a resident of Ottawa, Canada. From the view in the background I'm pretty sure I know which Condo he was living in too. He got arrested in 2016 by the Ottawa police for claiming to have spent time in a sports arena. Made the local news and everything. It did turn out to be a hoax.

Eric Reid

Also Vampire Diaries Video = The Best. There's something about it that means I can just listen to it in the background over and over again.

Aaron Fontes

this has nothing to do with anything but have you ever seen @monsterhighstories on tiktok? they create content by acting out stuff with dolls, including going live and doing skits for their 566k followers, and based on your affinity for stuff like MLP and strange/random corners of the internet I think you might find it cool

trevbot_exe

oh man, I went to the cattle call for Ep. VII in Chicago, felt like a total scam

Hannah Critchfield

No joke, no lie, your Buzzy video has been and will always be my favorite YouTube video of all time, I watch it at least like once a month 😅

Austin Bradley

The backstory of the sonic guy on the wiki makes me think earnest but the video screams satire to me so I honestly can't decide

TalysAlankil

I didn't feel as much joy in all of 2021 as jenny watching the malfunctioning (non-fonctioning?) kylo ren helmet

snughly

This is perfectly timed, I have a bad case of Covid (despite being doubly vaxxed) and am desperately in need of distractions. Thank you!

PogieJoe

Damn so many golden picks!

Sophia Rose Coffey

I babysat for a little boy who loved these. However, this particular one was too scary for him which I found endearing.

Quinn

The ending of this video where you're just casually chatting about your webcam with the tree face looming over you is very funny

Emily in Prague

I nearly pissed myself at the Kylo Ren edit, thank you for sharing these. I love a cozy ramble

Will_K

My favorite youtube video is also my intro to Jenny... Oh no! The Rise of Skywalker was real bad :(

Jerry Nicholson

At least 1000 people went out and bought aquariums today

Arron Glass

Thanks for this Jenny. The Kylo Ren clip with the bad voice changer was genius lol

Rose Doster

Is there much difference between depression and being cold, starved, and primed for death? Is there much difference between warmth, freedom and all needs met (such as food), and happiness? To me it’s fair, to say that lobster got a chance at life and that brought the little guy joy

Liddell

of course, people believed my immortal was sincere (and not a parody) because people hate teenage girls and really believe they write like that :/

Jenny Nicholson

I know my computer came with a capture card uhh in it but idk where it is or what it's doing. Maybe I've been using it all this time. Idk what it entails

Gussie Ruck

some of my personal favorites include your fantastic beasts videos, strange aeons' onision videos, sarah baska's jake and tana wedding vlog, illumina1337's all advancments speedrun, jenna marbles' i am hillary clinton, and also your applejack problem video.

Rachael

I don’t know why the Me Pearl channel exists but I’m ever so grateful that it does

Natalie Arnold

Is that no. 9 really in LA? Scotiabank in the background of one of those street shots makes me wonder if either he's in Canada or, Scotia has far more US reach than I realized

Natalie Arnold

Thank you, I just speculated that it was unlikely to be in LA given the Scotiabank visibility.

Clouds in the Sky

lmao I love that in the ImJayStation video they pick the corniest way to censor wtf- they just say what the frick instead so YouTube won't age restrict the video- it's epic Edit: Also, speaking of like fav videos that you did, I recently rewatched the Con Artists video series that you made with Bailey Myers, it was pretty good! It wasn't as good as Nostalgia Critic's The Wall or The Amazing Spiderman franchise tho.

Alex

my absolute favorite Jaystation video is the one where he goes to Chick Fil A at 3 AM and gets chased by a man in a chicken costume they refer to as "the chick fil a chicken" even though the Chick Fil A mascot is famously a cow

Ripley

this reminded me to finally buy that whispy woods plush on amazon i love it so much

Janine

The best part about it is it's not phrased as "my top 10 hottest", just "top 10 hottest" as if it's a totally objective, obvious fact.

Matt Grippi

Jay station has a video called “Kermit drinks the gay potion” and although I don’t condone the homophobia of course, the puppet acting in it is absolutely insane

Joel Keene

(this comment intentionally left blank)

Max S

In terms of videos that might take less prep/research/editing, I really enjoy rewatching the videos where you read weird books/fanfics. They are usually longer but I imagine they might be easier to produce than some of the blockbuster length pieces you’ve done. Storytime!

Kav

So, the people making that Kylo Ren voice changer somehow thought they'd been asked to make a 'Chewbacca Cosplaying as Kylo Ren' voice changer, right?

Parker Smith

We need a video of the siren in action

Bill Holt

I like the Amazon drop boxes.

Darleen Shine

Who else has no intentions of posting comments on the girl from the Rey audition, but your brain is just telling you to do it cuz Jenny said not to? XDDD

Natalie Arnold

There's no chick fil A in canada so he legit didn't know from exposure and then did zero research clearly

Barrett Nightingale

My take is that it's earnest with some light, well written jokes peppered in. People who are cringe can also be funny, and I think that's what's happening.

Jessica David

Honestly, the plant looks like someone found a prop from a Little Shop Of Horrors high school production on eBay. And I mean that in the nicest way possible!

Elle

You can… BUY a LIVE lobster from a supermarket?? Wtf??

Elle

Genuinely so shook you can buy a live lobster to eat from a supermarket. That seems beyond cruel?

Shiny Skunk

I've been to a bunch of furry cons, and I can't say I've seen a lot of all-fours fursuits! Seems like more of a realistic-cosplay kind of deal. These suits seem more interested in looking like actual animals than like, cartoon mascot characters.

Kyle Williams

In regards to the open casting call for the sequels, this is the same thing they did for the prequels. A relative of mine worked at Skywalker Ranch in the 90s (but not on Star Wars) and told me they did an open casting call for young Anakin. He had two boys around the right age so he submitted auditions. It was later turned into a promotion for the film as a behind the scenes thing I think.

M

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oRIyw-pJkUk idk if i could come up with more than a few but rats in unusual circumstances is one of the best videos on youtube, period… i cherish this video greatly

PamperYamper

Loved this ramble! I'm not super into youtube so I didn't know about any of these (except the lobster one I think.) Even being into MLP I didn't realize people made costumes like that. AGREED that My Immortal is obviously a satire. It's wild to me that this is up for debate. The sonic video looked earnest though. The speaker kind of just seemed like he didn't know the rules for what that kind of video should be, and was like "how can I be more enthusiasm???"

blitzball

Grab yourself a snack and a glass of orange juice 'cos here we go!

Manon Hale

Some of my favorites are ME Pearl, the lady who keeps possums and has a whole persona built around them, her interests are just so specific and strange, and she’s hilarious: https://youtu.be/Q7Qq45L28NU Groundhog bites Wisconsin mayor is another fantastic one, short and sweet: https://youtu.be/fZdIYAHtYNE

Manon Hale

My favorite of yours to rewatch is the Escape from Tomorrow video, its just such a earth shattering roast of that hack Randy.

ts_babyjane

lol im hoping that because you worked on like 6 videos at once, that after the evermore one gets released it will just be back to back. but, i do understand that you are working on videos that are waaaay huger than your old stuff. which is a blessing and curse. i think you can take solice in the fact that you made that evan hansen video really fast and that was over an hr.

Brian L Hughes

Maybe that guy's friend lives in the other unit?

claudia

I think I'm the only person in the world to have watched the entirety of Pretty Wild (the reality show about Alexis Neiers and her family) and it is unironically my favourite ever reality TV show because of how batshit it is

Jaya

It’s obviously satire but I still love my immortal for lines like “Voldemort gave me a gun” “snoop laughed meanly” and “I jumped in front of da bullet sexily”

run_away

Oh god. Today I learned that Jenny's tolerance for cringe is much higher than mine. I had to scrub through most of those clips. Fun video though, I was definitely not familiar with any of those.

Bonnie

Oh my god, that JayStation plant looked like a bad community theater production of Little Shop of Horrors

bananabutter

I genuinely had no idea that hanging up during a voice mail doesn't erase the voice mail... oh my god

Anna Mott

That Kylo Ren helmets sounds like if Ben had been raised by Chewbacca

Torie Gatti

My favorite part is at the end of your video where you’re discussing your camera and video plans, and just above you is that tree staring into my soul. It’s hypnotizing lol

run_away

I'm actually going to put a content warning on this comment: animal cruelty. Yeah, you'll see it in grocery stores in seaside cities or in fish markets. You pick the lobster you want from a tank, they rubberband the claws and just give it to you. Also seafood restaurants. Same thing, big tank of live lobsters in the dining area, and they take it to the kitchen. The reason why they're sold live is that boiling them alive is the traditional way to cook them. Not sure why, but I think it's just that their meat spoils quickly. You freeze the lobster for a few minutes before cooking, and supposedly the freeze puts them to sleep/into a coma so they don't feel anything during the boiling process. After a brief freeze you just plunge them directly into the boiling water. The worst thing though is that when you drop them into the boiling water, air escapes from their shell and it sounds exactly like a scream. So basically you're cooking it alive while it 'screams.' I'm sure other animals suffer before being cooked, but the spectacle of it is pretty effed up. I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't eat lobster for this reason.

Matthew

I am so looking forward to the Evermore video. I need some juicy Theme Park content.

Marissa Collins

Any other parents see that Venus Flytrap video and are just like, oh right, that's why my kids are banned from YouTube?

Stranger Kate

My favorite YouTube video isn't technically original YouTube content, but please, for the love of all that is holy, if you have not seen "THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA 1987 animated movie" it is an absolute treasure. Technically speaking, it is the most faithful adaptation of Gaston Leroux's novel I have ever seen, but it is animated like an episode of Scooby-Doo, the line deliveries are so funny, the pacing is so odd, oh! I can't even describe. I have been in love with this video for like 12 years, I show it to absolutely any friend who will let me.

Stephanie Hohn

Jenny: “The last thing I want to see is one with it’s head off.” Also Jenny: Puts video where one of the animatronics has its head and skin off on her top 10 list.

Saf

That Alexis "Brown Bebe Shoes" clip RULED my high school and we were always screaming "Nancy Jo. This is Alexis Neiers calling." and "Every time you F*** Yell I have to RE-RECORD IT!!!"

Jacqui Sutherland

I think you're the only person using youtube correctly. we should all be watching videos like this

illves

Really excited for the DSLR upgrade! And the tree video really delivered, dang

Admiral Clackbar

"I should date an aquarium enthusiast." Typical. Aquarium enthusiasts get all the girls. EDIT: That puppet took JayStation from cringe to gold.

Allessandra

Pretty wild is an iconic show and it should be mainstream popular. Tragically as you mentioned there was no second season bc Alexis was arrested near the end of season one filming and iirc by the time the final episode premiered she had been sentenced.

Christina

My absolute favorite video on YouTube is a fan film of Zootopia 2 and now I am desperately hoping for your clue for that potential video to be some Nick Wilde ears 😂 edit: forgot to link this icon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVBQD2etF5k

Bag of Tricks

I get the feeling there was a detour during recording the first minute to that SniperWolf(?) channel to just gaze in wonder/horror at the thumbnails. How many different faces can she make for the thumbnails, you wonder. And then you see it's the same 4 faces copy-pasted every few weeks.

Virginia Smith

i have always said: fuck jaystation, but it is so strangely endearing to imagine him and his best friend sharing a fun arts and crafts moment to make the props for their videos? did they make a trip to michaels together for the parts to make that venus flytrap? did they use the hot glue gun together? it's strange to imagine such a terrible guy doing something so humanizing and wholesome. maybe he becomes a whole different person while he's doing his little arts and crafts projects. maybe something calmer emerges from deep inside him, something he doesn't like to let anybody see, except his best friend, except when they're crafting. i hope making that venus flytrap healed him a little bit. i hope he's better for it.

Emily Mortimer

Jenny you should look into vampire shrimp. They are like mini lobsters and grow 4-6 inches. They wave their claws around to wave food into their mouths and are super charismatic, plus they are freshwater and pretty easy to keep happy.

Miriam Gold

The pricemaster is the absolute best. Cursed and bizarre

Miriam Gold

Also protein synthesis: an epic on the cellular level. acid fueled large group interpretive dance of protein synthesis. Stanford Chem 1972

Dan Gibbins

Force Awakens with the terrible voice modulation is the hardest I've laughed in a bit, that was great. I'd have thought "YES" if Creepy Cocktails had shown up on the list only because Jenny's video on it is my single favourite thing on all of YouTube (even above my own webseries I did once), but nice to have a full list of ten things I didn't know. Mostly didn't know. I'd heard about the lobster a little. (My non-Jenny answer for favourite YouTube is Glove and Boots, I miss those puppets dearly.) (Opened YouTube to find G&B and "There's Something Wrong With Hallmark's YouTube Channel" was right on the homepage waiting for me, they know my weaknesses)

Jiminy’s Journal

“I’m a licensed home inspector. I don’t do fish!”

Voidscribe

If you look at the stains on his sleeves and chest, I think tree guy's shirt was inside out because he was painting. He either used a spare shirt so much that he had to flip it inside out to keep using it longer, or he doesn't want to change shirts and just reverses it depending on usage. Either way he's just ahead of the curve.

Rushka Unverricht

Aragog sometimes feels like he has a "Hi! How're you doing?" look on his face and I feel like giving him a quick wave in greeting. That Kylo Ren helmet voice was something. I'm imagining a version of The Force Awakens where all the First Order flunkies can't understand Kylo but are too afraid to speak up, and little things keep going wrong, like he wonders why his meals are never quite what he ordered and so on lol. I must get around to watching the lobster video, it looks strangely heartwarming.

Matt Penn

I'm pretty sure that the guy was mentally handicapped. I'm not making a joke here. I really think that this guy was mentally handicapped. If I'm wrong, I apologize in advance.

Diana Pugh

All these videos have insanely different vibes and I love it

Juliet P

How dare you link something so terrifying

Gnome Choomsky

Ok, so, not to be "that guy," but my favorite YouTube video is still "FOAR EVERYWUN FRUM BOXXY" 😬🤪🙈💀 Aside from that, Shaun made two extremely well researched videos on The Bell Curve and the atomic bombing of Japan that are just incredible! I know that's kind of a weird juxtaposition 😅 OK, look, idk how much credit people should get for being "smart," but I don't think Jenny gets enough credit for it! She always has such great insights! Like, in this video, she clearly already knew what a homunculus was! 😅

Synnøve Kristine Moe

If I had Jeff Bezos- money I would have a production of Star Wars where Rey-audition girl is Rey, and Kylo Ren-mask guy is Kylo Ren.

Sarianna Sallinen

There are a bunch of freshwater crayfish and shrimp that are much easier to keep than lobsters! Cherry shrimp and dwarf orange crayfish are both super cute and beginner-friendly.

Kate Shannon

Apple Pie Tree Guy is Greg Zanis, and all the crosses and Stars of David you see in the his garage he built and delivered to families of shooting victims all over the US. Sadly he passed in 2020. A++ human.

M

The guy in the jaystation video is giving me strong Charlie from its always sunny vibes

Alissa Moreland

Btw the podcast les deux you remember this does a deep dive into the bling ring and that pretty wild clip specifically

Jerika

The new beanie baby doc even stole the socker bopper ad from Friendship is Witchcraft. HBO is coming for Jenny. 😩 I bet in Euphoria season 2 they visit Evermore and spend a couple episodes rating Barbie movies.

Elliot Aitken

a really great series is on themeparkworldwide’s channel where he restores the alton towers bookworm animatronic & keeps it in his theme park memorabilia shed https://youtu.be/HLRWgysO0Is

Mo

Someone might have mentioned this already, but just in case... the camera thing is less the color saturation and more the white balance. It seems that whatever webcam you're using has an auto white balance, and thus it is constantly changing to compensate. If you are able, I would set it to tungsten.

Libbie n Crawf

ATTN LOBSTER FANS: If you are a lobster fan, you should look up the Shediac Lobster. Its a roadside attraction type thing in rural New Brunswick Canada that is just a HUGE lobster.

Steve Ray

The final season of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt incorporated many Jenny details, which produced a well-integrated, wholesome character. Maybe she was a ghost writer on it.

Ash Gabrielle

Aw man 🙁 thanks for adding this detail, even though it is sad that he's died, it's good to know that he was as pleasant a person as the video made it seem.

Jerry Nicholson

re: Camera set up, have you thought about paying someone to do it? Surely LA has a surplus of AV experts. I'd bet there's someone like that in your social circle. Give 'em 30 bucks to set you up for life.

Steve

I speculated it was unlikely to be LA because the roads are covered in snow :) Oh, and both dudes have like very obvious Canadian accents 🤷‍♂️

simrell

hey! i was at one of the IRL star wars auditions, open call. they held them in person in major cities as well as e-mail in. the line was MILES long, we got sides but didn't read them. just walked thru and handed them our headshots and resumes. i remember vividly that the first guy in line had slept there overnight, wearing a princess leia costume. not sure what he thought the event was for....

Jaz Mei Luo

One of my favorite non-Jenny videos is where Ariel Bissett chooses the Goodreads Challenge 2021 colour. https://youtu.be/NJR3fK1VMFU I love it because it's a culmination of multiple years in which Ariel guesses the GR challenge colour, and then GR reaches out to her to offer that she get to pick the colour for 2021. The fact that her insane theory that 2020's colour was based on The Great Gatsby cover art turned out to be correct is so immensely satisfying, and the fact that she gets to be a part of this thing that seems so insignificant yet she is so passionate about is just incredibly wholesome. XD Please let me know if any of y'all followed Ariel's chronicles of conspiring the GR challenge colours LOL.

Dylan Kilpatrick

has jenny ever seen and talked about the youtube channel daisey brown?

Audrey

I still don't know why "Keeping a Grocery Store Lobster as a Pet" is staying on my freaking Recommended Page, or if it's because of Jenny, but I still haven't watched it, even though I've been thinking about it. What the hell.

Audrey

I felt like Aragog and the tree were staring at each other at the end. Having a moment.

Audrey

Wait sorry, maybe I'm not sure what you're saying, but when you leave a voicemail, even if you don't want to "delete" it, you still have to hang up in order to end it...so how did you leave voicemails in the past without thinking you "deleted" them? Did you just wait in silence until the voice cut you off because it was going on too long? Or am I missing something? I don't mean offense, I'm actually just drunk and very confused lol.

Dash

I really want to put on that Kylo Ren helmet to hear what it sounds like when I say snokesnokesnokesnokesnoke

Fiona Gray

My favorite video is Jenny talking about Creepy Cocktails ✨🍸

Benjamin A.

SPIDERQUEST: Quest for the Man-Sized Spider is genuinely one of my favourite YouTube videos.

Burtasaurusrex11

I always go back to that one when I'm having a bad day.

Zemonica

edit: the Sonic thing was by Dylan Guptill

Dan Gibbins

No matter how bad a day I've had, that one will make me laugh. It's a gift.

Morevan

Wait, the "hottest sonic females" was made by THAT Chandler?

Zemonica

Wait I'm stupid, apparently it was Dylan Guptill, for some reason it has been CWC in my mind for years

emast

re: the voicemails of alexis neirs…back in the day u used to be able to re-record voicemails!! it was by pressing some button like pound. but the thought of her receiving all of the voicemails is hysterical hahah

Alexis

The absolute VISCERAL reaction I had turning back to look at my screen at 1:18 thinking Jenny was about to reveal every one of her top 10 YT videos was on the SSSniperwolf channel.

Viva Reverie

I should not have been eating while the kylo ren video played

It's okay to be stinky!

Jenny is way too nice and wholesome to think that jaystation would actually sit down and diy a venus flytrap puppet, like he's one of those "creators" who doesn't seem to put any amount of effort into what he puts out and just goes for the cheap and easy route that gets him the most profit :/ also, that puppet look way too nice and neat, if jaystation was this good at diy, his channel would be that since that'd mean he actually has a talent anyways, great video, I'm so glad I became a patron!

Norbert

''Now in 2021'' unbothered queen

Aaron Lutes

Just binged all the old rambles, I'm really excited to get monthly rambles now! Youre really light on calls to action which is fantastic but maybe mention the rambles at the end of your next channel video? Unless you already do that and I tune it out cause im the worst, haha.

Natalie Arnold

Not Jenny but since the rambles are patreon-exclusive, mentioning them might get more "waaah unfair" than actual subscriptions? She mentions that the patreon exists, and once you're here the rambles are on all tiers so.

Lo

I love this video, thank you for everything you do!!

Daneno

My favorite one off video is this crazy all wood machine that was posted at the dawn of Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7ziwuIpnVY It's completely useless; but I still love it, squeaks and all. I've had it as my link to Youtube for basically my entire adult life.

Aaron Lutes

Yeah that's a fair point, just my two cents. No complaints either way, but now i'm tempted to become a bad car

Veronica Reeves

There's also a Canada Trust right next to the Scotiabank. I think you're right!

Brandon Zarzyczny

If you want a more professional web cam like you were talking about, maybe you should check out the Opal C1. I think MKBHD has some sort of stake in the company so it'll probably have the best image quality you can get out of a webcam. Here's their website: https://opalcamera.com/

I was also delighted to discover this trove of Jenny videos hiding on Patreon, since I had assumed the only reward for joining was to get your name in the credits. It's interesting that she doesn't advertise the Patreon stuff in her main channel vids, but personally that made it feel like Christmas to stumble onto hours & hours of bonus content.

I actually got to see the Triceratops Medical Exam as a kid, was eerie seeing those poor Dino's in such rough shape

Brandon Zarzyczny

I'm not sure why you'd think that, but it's 300 bucks and it's a Sony 4K sensor. I think now they're just up for preorder so I don't know for sure if it's great or not, but it'd probably be better than what she currently has.

AudreyDuck

That’s pretty magnificent.

AudreyDuck

NO NICOLE NOT WINE BOTTLES

Sabrie Colbert

love Ariel's videos! I'm obsessed with her Ariel Fixes Her Old House series

Derick Gadd

"Thriving, Beautiful Lobster" needs to be a new sub tier, lol

Kelly Stiver

That jaystation filming house - is it a set or do they just not own anything except furniture?

Imogen

That part in the lobster video where it slowly regains the ability to open and close its claws makes me so emotional. Was genuinely devastated when I thought it wouldn't be able to use them again

Bailey Wise

The triceratops video made me really sad. I'm so fascinated by abandoned theme park stuff, but it also breaks my heart. But then it scared the shit out of me seeing the disassembled ones haha

AHHHscreamapillar

Do you know how long it took me to find that Star Wars audition

M

Me too! It’s how I got my family into Jenny’s videos, now we have watched almost all of them together, the reality show and ghost show videos are also favorites 🙂

Xavier Jackson

Is it weird that watch Jenny’s videos to fall asleep? I really do enjoy them, but something about her voice knocks me the fuck out.

superb lobster

One of my favs is DSP's cup noodle review video https://youtu.be/b-V-f9inLoo There's so much to unpack, from the mysterious bottles, spoons and trilby on the table to how he boils water in a tiny cup with his expensive Keurig machine and spills it all. And then he utters the amazing line "the shrimp was sadly a one trick pony".

Tori

No

who is counting

I think I saw somewhere a playlist like this. Was that yours?

Natalie Arnold

Well, you can take a Canadian accent to the US, but an entire scotiabank not so much eh

Megan

https://youtu.be/zWH_9VRWn8Y as one of the comments say “it has science, it has existentialism, it has penguins, and it has extremely dark humor”.

Darleen Shine

I have a tiny lobster plush. He is now called Leon! ;3

Victoria Blake

Ok so after all of Jenny’s videos my favorites are ‘Bucket of Sloths’ (the music immediately makes me smile) and that one video of a bat eating a grape

mackenzie

I just watched the sonic video in full and i cannot believe you left out “as strong as shawn johnson” im crying

Hope Reed

idk if this counts as a youtube video since it is a trailer, but it was posted on youtube. it’s from my favourite childhood video game, everything about it is amazing. the quirky animation, the cute song (chirp from minecraft), and the calming narration. enjoy! https://youtu.be/RL_PDwNN-3c

Hope Reed

can i get a hint lol

lain harley

lol i've been thinking about chirp all week this must be a sign from god

Frankie

Just realized that the first video Jenny lists was sampled for an Ayesha Erotica song called Pretty Wild

Babs

That was the name of the reality show.

Casey Ringer

My favorite video in all of YouTube is THE Vampire Diaries Video, I watch it semiannually during a cleaning spree or something similar.

The Bearded One

Jenny said early in this ramble that she is fond of sincerely made bad movies. That being said, I would love to hear her take on films like Ed Wood and The Disaster Artist: biopics of those sincerely bad filmmakers.

Lindsey Keefer

I love the fake tree staring at us from behind the real trees for the last couple minutes

Fanaticure

Your vids are my faves! I've watched the one about Opposite Worlds more times than I can count, and sometimes I show your videos to my mom. She loves them, too. I think my top vids of yours are Opposite Worlds, the Hallmark Channel craft one, the worst ghost show one, and the Dear Evan Hansen one. The extra videos on this patreon are great, so thank you!

Lucky_Lychee

im all the way back in my sonic brain rot so when this video started i thought to myself: "wouldnt it be funny if she pulled up a sonic video?" and i wasn't dissappointed lmao

Alive_in_tucson

Does anyone know where the 6 foot Porg is?

sagaevan

good videos jenny !

David A Behlman

I got into Jenny by way of theme park videos and especially Defunctland, plus I did math and physics in college. So no surprise: my current favorite video is the long discussion of Queueing and Fastpasses at Disney Parks. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yjZpBq1XBE] I've been showing everyone the Apple Pie Tree guy video!

J. Benjamin Falstrom

My all time favorite YouTube video was removed for copyright reasons, but other videos from the same series still exist. It was a full redubbing of the original Parent Trap movie, renamed Linda and the Clone. Part 15 is gone forever and it was the greatest thing. Here is part 17 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abTwOVDHaLY) As a consolation prize, if you have never seen Kristianne Baille, it only takes 24 seconds to become obsessed with it. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POcuiqRTbnM)

literallymechanical

So the actual good version of the whole "I created a homunculus" thing is this russian youtube channel where a guy uses some well-done VFX to recreate the medieval alchemist Paracelsus' recipe for a homunculus, involving human DNA and an egg. The guy plays it completely straight, but it's clearly a brilliant long-form art project, and not intended to be taken seriously. There are >20 homunculus vids on his channel, #2 involves his first "success." Warning: it's pretty gross, and there's the funniest jump scare I've ever seen at the end. Turn on English subtitles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YmLWnQGZhQ

literallymechanical

He has other ridiculous pseudoscience videos, again played perfectly straight but clearly made as satire. Infinite energy by plugging a power strip into itself, that sort of thing.

gummi kind of likes garfield

ok so i watched parts all that i could find which were 3, 16, 17, 18 and one that did not have a number but it was the scene with the piano performance. i am now very invested and am wondering if you could tell me what happens in part 15. i grew up watching the original parent trap all the time but i haven’t seen it in years so this is the perfect balance between confusion and familiarity. so i must know, that is if it isn’t too much trouble. thank you for introducing me to my new favorite thing.

Rei The Gei

I was so happy to see Guptill89's top ten hottest female Sonic characters on the list; that video absolutely destroys me every time. I'd watch a whole Jenny ramble dissecting just that one video, tbh.

Abigail Fine

Jenny, do you think maybe one of the reasons you like the Lobster video so much is that the guy kind of sounds like the narrator of Carousel of Progress? Because I've watched three of his Leon videos and I just keep thinking that he is the main man on Carousel of Progress!

Aisubun

I'm pretty sure fursuits aren't usually quadraped because that starts to get a little bit too close to like actual zoophile stuff for a lot of people's comfort.

Aisubun

also THAT REY AUDITION VIDEO KILLED ME

DearFriendFranko

Thanks -is one of the guys the Bad Lip Reading dude? Sounds like him, just a bit younger

Monssef Burezah

Seeing „J-Station“‘s sidekick panic, while rambling about the increasing or decreasing (?) number of chicken upstairs made my day! No context, all fun!

BROGGGGGY

for anyone curious about those kids who robbed celebs from the first video I recommend Mila Tequila's video on that whole situation (her content is like yk2 icon history)

Alex Andra

So I went to go watch the alexis neiers video, and then the algorithm recommended me this video: "Alexis Neiers on Drugs, Prison, and the Bling Ring: Profiles by VICE" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FH9-S6ntIBQ) and y'all. I was about to cry. Turns out she spent most of her teen years, including the filming of this reality show, on very serious drugs and was in and out of prison and rehab for a long time. But, she managed to turn things around, get sober, start a family, and is now a writer for Vice about youth and addiction and is a counselor at a recovery center. If you click on the video I just mentioned you'll see a thoughtful, kind, compassionate, mature woman help the man who got her addicted through recovery and sobriety. I still think the Nancy Jo voicemails video is funny, but I'm also so proud of this woman who was exploited by her family and by a major television network and managed to channel it into saving others. You fucking rock girl.

poppys daddi

okay but every gay person i know can recite the alexis neirs phone call 😭 it was a cultural reset

Wes

NOOO THE PLANT MONSTER VIDEO GOT TAKEN DOWN

E.K. Young

Everyone with social anxiety should know that you can often hit * while recording a voicemail to open up an options menu! Genuinely uninterested in reading 222 comments to see if anyone else pointed this out, but depending on the service provider of the person you called, you can often hit * to erase and re-record, listen to what you've already said, set a priority level for the VM, etc. Sometimes it can be the # symbol instead of *, but yeah. Pro-tip. Very helpful when you have a panic attack at the mere thought of picking up a phone. Just saying, hopefully Alexis knew this and didn't leave 80 weird voicemails. Nightmare.

Veronica

I apologize for commenting on such an old video, but I have CRUCIAL details about the large goofy tree. The moment I saw the tree pop up on my screen I experienced full-body chills because I quite literally drive past him every day on my way to work. Here’s the twist though, I live in Michigan, not Kentucky. This creates a few different possibilities for the lore of this giant tree. 1) There are multiple goofy trees in existence. OR 2) This giant goofy tree has been resold AGAIN and was shipped out to a small town in Michigan. Anyways, hopefully, this provides everyone with some much-needed giant tree lore.

michael

the plant monster was precious I loved this whole video, your patreon is amazing omg
