I thought it'd be fun to answer questions here! They can be about Heartstrings or anything else lol. If they're about Heartstrings being SLIGHTLY spoilery is fine (just not anything intense like 'who falls first" "how does it end" etc)

what’s your favorite part of writing the comic

lenkies

do you have plans in mind already for how long you want the comic to run? like seasons or arcs or something? i adore heartstrings thank you for creating it :)

I have a couple, they’re family related. Is Isi’s family homophobic?? How did Ro and Sage lose their parents?

What inspirations did you take to craft the plot? Character-driven narratives can be tricky but you've done so well setting up the relationship and conflicts so early on

sorry for the late reply! :0 thank you! tbh my wife is a lot of help tbh, I made the outline but she always amps up the ideas! We just brainstormed what's most important to the characters and what obstacles they need to overcome (ex. for Isi she needs to be honest with herself, for Ro she needs to be more responsible)

Is it still ok to ask questions because I have approximately a million (due to terminal brainworms) but please don’t feel obligated to answer them. - Has Isi had prior relationships at all, real or publicity-related? - How recently was the last split for Ro’s friends to be surprised she’s already seeing someone? (Or was it bc the last breakup was super painful/dramatic?) - Why does Isi’s management keep her punk past a secret? Is it known that they were acquainted? - Why did her last album flop critically? Did it do well commercially? Was it different from previous albums? (My conspiracy is that they were mostly TikTok algorithm-bait songs since cherry on top seems on the nose levels of generic titling LOL) - Does Isi like the music she’s making? Is she involved in songwriting or production or is her music more the written-by-committee type? - did Isi stay in touch with anyone from Velvet Crowbar or did she fall out with them all equally badly? - Is this set in 2024ish? If so, how did the pandemic affect them respectively? Related, has Isi’s image always been coquette/lingerie-but-cute or is this more because of the current trending style and her styling has fluctuated a lot depending on fashion trends? - Are they gonna fall in love and get maaaarrrriieeed??????? (Jkjkjk I know that’s way too spoilery. But I’m just saying that Wifey has a nice ring to it!!)
