I'm a novel writer, not a song writer, but it's a bad habit when you've been in the field for long enough. You're always critiquing your own work, the work of your fellow writers (likely even more so here as Ro is in a band), and looking at others works in an analytical light. It kinda becomes your default interaction with media, especially the media you work in.
