PLEASE KEEP IT (if you want) ❤️❤️

Allison

omg they’re actually doing it (and tbh i don’t think the flashback panel is necessary but it’s also not hurting anything)

Angel

MY SHAYLASSS

Also I think keeping the flashback panel it's a good way to parallel both dynamics and also show how hurt isi was when she left vc

I feel like it could flow with our without the flashback panel ! It is a nice wee addition but whatever you would feel would flow best 💜 It would suit either way ✨

Imri

My tummy hurts 😭😭 I'm scared how they're going to navigate this.

i don’t think it’s NECESSARY but i certainly like it a lot i think it’s a really nice parallel

i think the flashback panel is a really nice touch, i feel like it gives it a really nice nostalgia feel and puts the both of them there in that moment together

i personally really like it and i think it adds a punch (to my heart)

AAAAAH !!!!!!!!!!!! i am voting for keeping the flashback because i think it helps the gravity of their decision to trust each other feel greater

JD

Keep it. It makes sense. Isi doesn’t want history repeating itself again yea they could try again but you can’t blame isi for being scared to get hurt all over again. Plus they’re finally dating and confessing their feelings for each other so she’s afraid history will repeat itself and not only ruin their friendship but also their relationship.

I feel like having the flashback panel is good but it also... Idk. Writers intuition is telling me this is an ironic scene because they're trying to avoid making the same mistakes and in doing so are in fact making the same mistakes as they did back then, and the flashback scene adds to that irony, but it doesn't quite have enough punch. Like. It's not new information that Isi was sad. Idk what the fix is though.

this is the first flashback within context in the story right like in the middle of a current plot chapter! I think that makes it really pack a punch about how affected they both are by their past, if this is where u want to pack that punch it works

idk if the sketch is clear enough but she’s at confession

NobleHeroine

Wait what Isi is. She's. Was? Okay I missed that somehow (The sketch is not clear but that may be because I'm not Christian) Edit: Okay this changed my critique because it does add a lot of nuance to this flashback and suggests. Something. Why is Isi thinking of confession when she thinks of making the same mistakes? Is the mistake the religion or the confessing? I think it might be beneficial to make it a little more clear where Isi is for people like me, who only knows Christianity as that weird thing their aunt does, but otherwise the flashback does exactly what it is supposed to do

Alex

Oof knowing that’s Isi at confession just breaks my heart even more and makes me wonder how long that was after their “break up”. But seeing how they don’t want to make the same mistakes shows how much they don’t want history to repeat itself and lose each other again especially now that their relationship has evolved to dating and have their feelings for each other out there

Bev Johnson

i think the mistake in this context is treating her feelings like a sin/something to run from. and she’s trying not to do that anymore
