I wanna push back on this. People should actually deal with their feelings rather than bury them. It's not unreasonable to be insecure if you have a good reason to think that someone you love has unresolved negative feelings towards you. And if you *are* insecure (as Isi obviously is) then people around you would do well to be doubly vigilant in not fostering states of affairs that justify that insecurity.

You articulated this so well! I wanna add that in the forest fire chapter Isi thinks to herself what the point of being together if Ro doesn't feel like she can trust her and when she talks to Autumn she admits she knows Ro isn't being honest when she says she doesn't care about the past anymore. So this isnt coming from nowhere she has felt like Ro is still upset about the fight but won't admit it and it's causing her to hold back emotionally in their relationship Isi has obviously been picking it up but doesn't know how to deal w it.
