⚠️Payment Errors⚠️ (Patreon)

I just found out apparently that Patreon did something very stupid, switched their billing from California to Dublin, Ireland and as a result many credit cards flagged it as fraudulent.

I'm posting about this here incase there's confusion around the payment errors. I don't know when it will get fixed and Patreon hasn't acknowledge the error yet. 🙃

Yeah my bank marked it as fraudulent and I had to call to correct it

That happened to me and while I got back into some creators others still won't work

Yeah it wasn't taking my monthly payments this month so I had to unsubscribe then re-subscribe to get back on my favorite creators/artists pages. I had to pay more in taxes than I usually do because of it.

This is so weird. I got a receipt, but my card was not hit. My payments that happen on the first just didn't happen

My bank called me about it as a fraud charge and I ended up having to pay an extra fee, thats so crazy

I still was able to make my payment support because mine is through my PayPal??? I sure hope it still sent you the payment 🫠

Oof, multinationals only use Ireland because it's a tax haven, so looks like Patreon has started doing a bit of the ol' tax dodging 🙄 ISTG, I wish at least one of these companies we use every day showed some moral bladdy backbone...

My payment went through overnight with no issue, BUT I was charged an exchange fee for the difference from US dollars to UK Pounds. 😐

I had that happen to me, I had to remove my card info, and re-enter it because it changed it for some reason.

I had this issue till I had to switch it to Paypal as it refused to take my card.

I put in a different card and I've only managed to pay 4 of my subscriptions for this month so far. >_< I'm still trying to do the rest with no more luck yet. Ayme, I hope everyone who supports you is able to resubscribe ASAP! Patreon seriously bungled this, oy.
