CONTAINS NO SPOILERS

I used to wonder why, in movies, the director cut scenes. I know mostly it's due to runtime. Or, doesn't add to the story. I found it amusing that I was encountering the same problems—having to cut a few scenes, mostly just a panel or two.

IMAGE 1,2,3,4

There was this whole scene where Liam is found the next morning after Arn had been killed, and he held Willem through the night.

Reason: After finishing up the page where you see the candle burn down and night falls, I felt it was perfect to end there. Plus, the dialogue for Liam was too mushy, too soon. You don't notice these things until they have visuals. Plus, I didn't want Willem to appear as a victim or weak.

IMAGE 5

Cut was Willem grasping onto Arn's cock while he was passed out drunk.

Reason: It simply didn't fit right on the page.

IMAGE 6

Panel cut of King Gellen. Can't remember why…

IMAGE 7

Scene cut of Orich and Liam on the ship together before the Laqueus destroyed their ship.

Reason: Too much backstory.

IMAGE 8

Deleted opening of Fintan's story.

Reason: Didn't want to give something away too early. He was fantasizing about someone. No, not Liam...

IMAGE 9

Deleted additional character. There was to be a fight between the two Tauruses.

Reason: The early stages of the story had yet another side story. I was exhausted trying to keep up with all the characters. I dropped him to focus on another.

I love these outtakes/deleted scenes - or whatever they are. Fintan is cute! Too bad he's a drunkard.
