SUBTLE SPOILER AHEAD

If you've spent any time with me before this story, you might know how much I loathe expositional dialogue. Not a fan of it in books or movies. Who is this young man who's able to snag our Bernard?

Well, that's a question for later, I suppose. If Bernard has a "type," you might think this is way off from what you might expect. Trust me, I think I pointed this out before. This part of the story has been very difficult for me to write. Not because I have an issue, but because others might call foul or be put off by this young man. In my eyes, Bernard is a gentle soul who has led a difficult and lonely life. He needs to be cared for. Maybe even pampered.

Bernard has a deep desire to care for others. Like Lord Liam, he feels his place in life is to protect and care for someone who gives more than they take.

So yeah, one more item.

I won't be deleting any scenes. I do worry that the time I've been taking to develop the characters instead of diving right into it might be wearing thin on some people.

For me, this makes for a much better connection to characters when you know more about them. You get invested in them, right?

I’m new to your work, and I want to say how much I am loving every page. Your art style gives these characters a raw beauty that I really admire and appreciate. There’s quite a bit of yearning on my part too. Please keep on writing your story as you see fit and take your time with those characters. I’m hoping to learn more about them. Loving Liam and Bernard!

No, actually it is so very common for older men to crave young flesh, that an equal aged couple is more of a rarity these days. That is exactly what my first thought was. "Great, another old hog, puruing the adventure of long lost youth, as they all do."

You absolutely nailed that with Liam. He has that quiet strength. And yes, very handsome. Keep up all the good work. I can’t wait to see more from you!

There's nothing offputting in your beautiful art - these types of encounters happen all the time, and as someone who had been trying for some time to find a soulmate, I saw so many men that were absolutely my type, but they were searching for someone very different than me. I learned that there's no single pattern of attraction, and that no type of it is worse than the others (as long as it's not illegal, of course). I'm looking forward to seeing how Bernard's story develops. As I always do :)
