The Path to Owendale (Patreon)

We made it to CHAPTER 7: The Path to Owendale.

By now, if I've done a good enough job, I have made you feel connected to at least one character. Maybe even a few. Maybe even worry about their well-being. As they approach King's Castle, the Laqueus will turn up the heat.

These characters have been a part of my life for over 5 years. From concept to finalization, notes to story, and story to pages. To say I've gotten attached to some characters would be an understatement.

We are more than halfway through. All the worldbuilding is finished, and character development should include some who feel connected to some characters. Some upcoming scenes will be quite challenging to create, mostly since I do not use exclamatory graphics like "WHAM" "BAM!" "CRASH" WHOOSH!", of any sort. It was a decision I made long ago as a bit of a challenge to convey action without clutter. Sometimes I question my idea. Makes things difficult at times. The most I feel that is acceptable is motion blur, and "(((" to show movement.

So, I'm crossing my fingers that some pages will convey what I intend.
