These pages bring on slight anxiety. Out there in the World Wide Web, there are critics who dictate who should be a top and who should be bottom. I feel it's the same regarding cut or uncut, as if the cut person had any say in the matter. I say, it is what it is, and that's just the way it is. People land on an amazingly broad spectrum. Let them land as they will.
I will share this, since I blocked this person.
I got a private message from someone who just joined. A few days later, I assume he started reading The Laqueus Amulet from the beginning and made it to the part where Willem mounts Liam (Page 106).
Enraged, he leaves me a private message. Basically saying that he was pissed off that Willem wasn't able to be a power top. That he was sick and tired of seeing the smaller guy be a bottom. Then cancelled his membership and requested a refund.
It can't just be me. I can't be the only one who sees a multitude of colours across an ever-so broad spectrum. There are no rules. There are no laws. Love will work its magic on the most unlikely, sometimes. We don't always have a say.
When I created Noah and Teak. I looked at them and let what I thought was a natural couple. Is Teak a total bottom? No, I don't see that. Nor do I see Noah as a total top. But when it comes to Fintan and Holton. I do see Holton as an exclusive power top. Believe me, there are men like Holton. My husband, for example. The bigger question is, why does that upset people when there is no real consequence to their lives?
So, what I guess I'm trying to say is, while there is sex in this fantasy gay graphic novel, it is NOT a fuck fest. Even though more is coming soon. But there is a bigger picture.
Personally, I am not a fan of porn or porn comics. Both for different reasons, I want to be invested in characters. I want to feel happy about a coupling. Sad over a breakup. Worried about antagonists who want to destroy them. You know?
Yikes, I should shut up now and let you enjoy or hate this scene.
Page 186 will be up later today, as it also has no dialogue.
