Fern friend (Patreon)

Polystichum munitum, or Western sword fern. 

I found a cool list of uses for sword ferns by Native American people around the Pacific Northwest. Among other things, it was used as food, fiber for bedding and clothing, medicine associated with various gynecological treatments, and anti inflammatory medicine. 

The only use I was familiar with was easing nettle stings, but I want to track down some of the books this database references and learn more.
