Extra Kisses Make Up for Lost Time (Céline/Alear from Fire Emblem Engage) (Patreon)

Alear did not miss the war.
But if he had to choose something to miss from it, it was its relative simplicity: the Fell Dragon sought to devastate Elyos, and the four nations had to unite to put an end to the madness. There were plenty of complexities and hurdles that had to be overcome during that period, of course, but compared to what came after, it was simpler in the grand scheme of things.
Peace wasn’t simple. Maintaining it? Especially difficult.
As the Divine Dragon Monarch, Alear played a crucial role in the restoration period—a role he honestly didn’t believe he was qualified to have; after all, there was still so much for him to learn about the nations. Befriending the royalty during the war was a promising start to that, but understanding the systems of nobility, the unique traditions, and the whims of the everyday folk… it was all a bit much for a singular person. He was divine only in title.
Fortunately, it was a problem that lessened with time. It had now been roughly two years since the end of the war, and at last, there was something resembling stability on the continent. For that reason, Alear finally felt like he could breathe.
King Diamant’s steadfast reforms had silenced the Brodian nobility’s attempts to reinvigorate their invasive traditions. Elusia had suffered a notable population decrease during the war, but was now seeing a baby boom thanks to the reconstruction. Solm was fostering stronger ties to all nations, their generous trade helping their neighbors rebuild.
Firene was doing well too; the new king was proving to be very popular with the people.
Though… if there was any quarrel to have with this current era, it was that King Alfred’s health wasn’t the best.
…that, and the situation with his sister…
Not long before the final fight against the Fell Dragon, Céline approached Alear concerning fears and doubts she was having, and in response, he had given her the Pact Ring. It was always something he had intended to give to her at some point, and because it would provide reassurance and communicate his feelings at the same time, it felt appropriate to do so right there and then.
The problem, however, had been her response.
It had been positive—just not the kind of positive he was hoping for! Although Alear had spoken adequately and not stuttered, it was evident she had not understood his true intentions.
Why else would she call him a “true friend”?
He had hidden it well during the moment, but to hear something like that was heartbreaking.
In hindsight, it was obvious why he had screwed up. The Pact Ring was not necessarily a confession of romantic love—even if he was hoping it would be interpreted as such. Because of that, he had arguably butchered the whole thing. He had wanted to course-correct, but during the moment, he wasn’t sure how to do that. It was honestly his fault for giving it to her so spontaneously.
There was some silver lining to it all though. His “confession” had led to Céline making many frequent visits to Lythos, offering unparalleled support that was sorely appreciated during the aforementioned post-war instability. It would be an understatement to claim that her aid was invaluable.
Alear just wished he could also thank her with a kiss too.
Though perhaps… if he was lucky, he soon could; he had a plan.
Since everything was now calm, Alear figured it was the perfect opportunity to have a vacation… and after learning about his plans for one, Céline insisted she would be coming along.
Her declaration wasn't too shocking. As his “pact ring friend”, they did a lot together… even if that something was typically a tea party.
A vacation though… with just the two of them? That was different.
…and more importantly, an opportunity to rectify the mistake he had made.
Was there a chance this could all blow up in his face and risk the current relationship he had with Céline? Naturally—and the thought of that threatened to prematurely tear his heart in two.
But frankly, his heart was already on the brink of fracture. It desired to declare its love to the one woman who had captured it, and that ache had continuously grown over the last two years. She needed to know what that pact ring truly signified.
He loved her. He truly did—more than anybody else in the world.
In other words, this was going to be either the best or the worst vacation of all time.
The chosen destination for the vacation was the Somniel. It wasn’t the most original location by any means, but considering it already offered much in terms of relaxation and luxury, it made sense. His stewards still kept the area maintained and the facilities up and running, though he had requested they keep a respectable distance during the week.
Alear really didn’t want anybody disturbing his time with Céline. This was a vacation for them and them alone.
To bring her to the Somniel, Alear first had to meet her at Firene. Warm greetings were exchanged between him and the king, though it was clear from his visage that he was hiding his poor health.
That being said, Alear did not press his concern: he cared much about Alfred, but he had already done his part in using his status to recruit capable healers from across the continent to do their part.
In other words, he had nothing to fear; soon, his dear friend would be through the worst of it and on the way to a full recovery.
“Good afternoon, Divine One!” Céline was ecstatic to see him, her spirits strong. No doubt she too believed her older brother would be okay. Chloé was also present, albeit only initially, for she made herself scarce after giving him her greetings—and wishing Céline a wonderful time. She looked a little off, but he figured it was something he could inquire about later.
“Céline, it's been a while, hasn't it?” Alear greeted her back, calmly bringing her into a hug that she was keen to return, tightly embracing him. He exhaled sharply, a little surprised by the strength, but he wasn't against it.
Affection like this wasn't new, but it was the furthest anything had gone between them. Alear hoped that would change, but he could entertain the possibilities later. That being said, a hug this firm signified she was not doing as well as he originally thought.
Yet, right before he was about to inquire, she pulled back, made eye contact, and gifted him with the warm smile he had fallen in love with. He stared—perhaps for a little too long.
Luckily, she didn't seem to notice.
Or mind.
“It has,” she spoke softly, her cadence a little off, like she wasn't completely focused on the conversation. “A few weeks, I believe… and that's a few weeks too many.”
“You can say that again,” Alear chuckled, hoping it would mask the unease in his breath. He was a little concerned about her, but there was a good chance he was just overthinking it anyway; his mind was already a jumbled mess due to the conversation he planned to have with her, after all.
Even if something was up, he knew she would tell him. Besides, this was meant to be a vacation—a break from one's usual life!
He exhaled and relaxed: there was no need to worry.
“Now then… Shall we be off?” Céline sounded genuinely eager. “It has been a while since I've seen the Somniel. I've missed it.”
And he had missed her.
___
Céline’s posture softened upon arriving at the Somniel. As she took in the fresh, nostalgic air, she spread her arms and stretched, humming quietly to herself.
Had he played his cards right back then, a “Welcome home.” would have been the perfect complementary words.
But it was okay.
One day, he would be able to say those words and mean them.
They had been brought to the small wilderness in the south of the island. This meant they would have to trek a little to the main facilities, but that was okay. Céline undoubtedly enjoyed the view and scenery, and watching her take it all in was comforting to him. The change of scenery seemed to do her wonders. He could honestly watch her all day…
“Alear?” Céline called out to him, snapping him out of his trance, and it was nowhere close to the first time she had done that.
He had an unfortunate habit of getting caught up in her appearance whenever he saw her, but at least that meant he had become quite good at composing himself quickly.
“Yes, Céline? Do you need me to get you something?” Alear responded as casually as he could, though he wasn't convinced that delay had done him any favors. It was blatantly clear how distracted he was.
“Well, I wasn't going to ask for anything in particular…” she giggled, seemingly playing along, or oblivious, or perhaps she just didn't care, or…
Alear bit his tongue.
Goodness, his mind was a mess.
“But if you are offering,” she continued. “A cup of tea would be nice. You and I do have a lot to catch up on.”
Alear relaxed. That was a good proposition. A cup of tea? He could work with that.
“Yes, of course!” Alear spoke as relaxed as he could, and thus, the two began their short trek to the plaza.
A cup of tea wasn't hard to provide. That being said, he should have had the foresight to prepare for such an obvious request in advance!
Sure, his trip to Firene meant he couldn't have done it alone, but he could have easily asked his stewards to prepare while sharing some rough timing for his return. Perhaps asking them to keep a respectful distance was an error in hindsight.
Well, it was fine. She'd have to wait, but he knew how to make tea she liked. It was a skill anyone who spent a lot of time with his particular princess developed.
“Oh, Alear! This is exquisite!”
The pair had returned to the plaza, and stood at the center was a table and two sets of chairs—and more importantly, everything needed for a tea party. Including snacks!
Céline was ecstatic. This wasn't their average tea party setup at all.
Alear was completely and utterly confused, but all became clear once he scanned his surroundings and noticed familiar shades of pink and green peering from a corner before disappearing.
He wasn't sure what had prompted the twins to do this for him—perhaps they already figured out his mind was internally a disaster regarding the upcoming conversation he wished to have, and doing anything they could to lighten the weight on his shoulders was worth it.
Regardless, he vowed to give them his eternal gratitude later for helping him out. He had already been worrying about small details like whether or not they had the particular brand of tea she liked in stock.
Céline took a seat eagerly, recognizing the aroma of her favorite tea. She sampled it with glee, purring like a kitten. Alear took a seat on the opposite end of the table, marvelling at how much effort his stewards had put into this setup. They were really rooting for him!
“Alear… you truly have no idea how much I needed something like this,” Céline confessed. “The stories I have to share… there are some good, some bad, and some ugly… some funny, too! May I?”
Alear exhaled and relaxed, not afraid to do so in this kind of environment.
His stewards had probably done this anticipating he was going to have that conversation today, and that by preparing a magnificent feast, it would boost his odds.
Alas, today was going to be a simple one. He had all week to find the perfect opportunity, and he did not wish to spring this upon her as soon as she arrived. Today was going to be simple. A catch-up sounded perfect.
It was time for him to relax. This was a vacation, after all. There was no way he could have that conversation anyway until he properly unwinded first, and what better way to do it than by listening to the stories of the person he adored the most?
The two thus conversed like they usually did, though this time made an effort to avoid touching upon political topics. There was some natural overlap due to their respective statuses, but the focus was undoubtedly on more casual topics.
For instance, Chloé had gotten food poisoning after attending a local festival for exotic goods, yet still claimed it had been worth the taste. She was still recovering from that, explaining why she looked a little uneasy earlier.
Louis had returned home for a few weeks, wishing to see his father and brothers. He had originally been insistent on staying at the castle since his fellow retainer was partially out of commission, but was convinced upon being told the Divine Dragon would be accompanying his liege for a week.
Etie had taken a more active role in the nation's military, and although this contradicted the king desiring peace above all, she had justified it by claiming they could never be too prepared. However, Céline had implied her motivation was more so finding more weight-training buddies.
Boucheron had recently gifted a collection of novels to the princess, claiming they did wonders for immersion whenever the mind needed distraction. Alear had found that part especially intriguing, albeit not in a way that made him smile.
She even mentioned a state visit from Elusia’s Queen, and how they had bonded after not having an ample opportunity to converse during the war and the restoration period.
All in all, it was a good chat.
…and frankly, it had done wonders to his mental state. He felt much better too, though her presence was certainly doing much of the heavy lifting.
“I’ve been feeling a little lonely lately,” Céline eventually confessed. “And when I told my mother, she misinterpreted what I meant.”
“Oh?”
Céline leaned back into her chair and sighed.
“She's been trying to find me a suitor,” Céline elaborated, letting out a playful scoff. “But I have no interest in any of that.”
They were words that should not have stung—especially when the interpretations were endless.
But they indeed stung.
“I see…” Alear honestly wasn't sure what else to say.
Céline allowed silence to regain momentarily, but she soon decided it was best to quell it before it became awkward.
“But don't worry about that,” she laughed a little uneasily. “Honestly, forget I said anything, OK?”
It wasn't the first time she had told him something like that. Céline simultaneously told him much yet kept many things to herself.
Despite their close bond, he wasn't certain whether it was right to inquire. He doubted she wouldn't tell him if pushed, but he also didn't want to hear things she wasn't quite ready to share.
“By the way,” she spoke up again. “You're looking better.”
Alear found that comment to be bewildering, and he wasn't afraid to share that. “...Better?”
“You've been tense since you arrived in Firene,” she added. “Even when we arrived back here, too.”
“I…”
“It’s alright,” Céline recognized she had caught him off guard. “I know how hard it is to sit back and relax… but that's what this vacation is for, isn't it? Let's both try our best to enjoy it, okay?”
Her assumption wasn’t quite on the mark, but it wasn’t too far either.
Nevertheless, her suggestion was sound.
He had a week. The tough conversation could come at the end if he really wanted it to.
Everything would be fine.
Everything would be fine…
Everything was not fine!
Not even an hour had passed since her arrival, and once again, Alear’s mind had been set ablaze. All that wondrous progress accomplished during their tea party? Gone.
But frankly, who could really blame him in this situation? He was seeing things he had not expected to see.
Céline had made ample preparations for how she would be using her time away from the castle, and this was represented through the outfit she had just changed into.
Once their tea party session had concluded, his favorite princess had shared a desire to relax by the pool, wishing to bask in the sun while emptying her thoughts. It was a means of recharging both her body and mind, and it all sounded very good on paper.
The problem was that Céline’s swimsuit was… distracting.
It was a standard swimsuit, far from the fanciness that befitted her usual attire, but that was precisely what made it so effective. Without an abundance of thrills and decorative elements to distract the eye, the focus shifted to her body.
Never had curves been so entrancing.
Nor had thighs, for that matter.
Céline cared not that she was in the presence of a man while wearing this, but that frankly furthered his guilt.
She presumably trusted him not to stare, and yet, here he was… doing precisely that!
He wasn't trying to. He had restraint!
It just wasn't very good.
“Ah!” Céline shot up, an act that sent a shiver down his spine. He had been caught, hadn't he?! “I shouldn't get too comfortable in this sun…”
Céline instead rummaged through her bag momentarily, pulling out a phial and pouring some of its contents into her hands, rubbing them together for some time.
It was supposedly some sort of concoction that protected the body from prolonged exposure to heat, though applied directly to the skin rather than consumed.
It was smart of her to use it.
It was also mesmerizing to watch. Céline’s motions were slow but elegant, lacking any rush to what she was doing.
Light hums escaped her lips as she began caressing her neck and upper chest, her palms gently moving in a circular motion as she applied the lotion, making certain not a singular area was left untouched. It was excessive—she really didn’t need to spend so much time doing it, but there was also no reason to doubt she was just making sure she was fully protected.
A faint smile formed on her face, one that morphed slightly when her teeth scraped against the bottom of her lip, leading to a light bite. Before he could question even internally what that signified, Alear found his eyes dancing downwards towards her legs; they were now rubbing against each other in a gentle rhythm that complemented the rest of her subtle movements.
It made him wonder if she knew doing this would bring his attention to her thighs.
Because it had. It really had.
Alear knew he was foolish for staring so intently… but considering she never once opened her eyes, it honestly felt like an invitation. Everything she was doing was hypnotic to him; the subtle movements, the pleasured expression, and the satisfied sounds escaping her lips. Céline genuinely sounded like she was enjoying doing something that should have been mundane.
For somebody who had a tendency to overthink regarding this girl, her actions weren’t doing his head any favors. He had to give his mind props for creativity at least—questioning whether or not she was purposefully trying to be seductive was a new one!
It was silly. There was just no way Céline was doing this purposefully.
No way.
Céline only finished once Alear had been given enough time to burn this incredible scene into his memory. After that, she simply sunbathed, engaging in small talk with him.
He was glad for that; he wasn’t in the right state of mind to have any sophisticated conversations.
Alear believed the swimsuit incident would be an isolated incident.
It was not an isolated incident.
Since Céline had arrived in the afternoon, there wasn't much time to spend together after relaxing at the pool. Céline had yet to unpack the belongings she brought with her for the week and wished some time to do so before retiring for the night.
Naturally, Firene’s princess had a guest bedroom—the pact ring didn’t suddenly mean they would be sharing one, as much as he would have liked to.
But it was almost like she acted like they did.
When it was time for them to retire for the night, Céline demonstrated an unquestionable truth; she was comfortable around him. Very comfortable.
She had come to his room on her own, wanting to wish him a good night’s sleep, and express thanks for letting her accompany him on this time away from home. Alear could not remember the precise wording she used, and for good reason.
Her nightgown.
He had seen Céline wear one before, but any previous outfits paled in comparison to what he had momentarily witnessed.
The nightgown she wore was a pure black that clung to every curve she had, hugging against her figure in a way that suggested it was a tight fit. It was undeniably too small for her—why else would he have another illustrious view of her legs?
The straps that rested on her shoulders were thin, leaving little to the imagination—and one of them had slightly fallen and was resting on her upper arm. It was just as appealing to the eye, if not more so, than the rest of her exposed skin.
There was nothing accidental about any of it—at least, that’s what he thought at first.
Her expression was a complete juxtaposition. She appeared her ordinary, happy self, as if oblivious to what such an attire was doing to him.
Fortunately, she only wished to bid him a good night, returning to her quarters without giving him much time to memorize this view.
…which was unfortunate at the same time! The fact she had shown him that at all made it difficult to sleep. It was all he could think about.
Alear still maintained the firm belief that she wasn’t doing this intentionally. Once was happenstance, and twice was a coincidence.
There wouldn’t be a third time.
There wouldn't.
…
…There was a third time.
Miraculously, despite everything, he had managed to sleep. Not very much, but enough to keep him going.
But Alear very much contemplated whether or not he was dreaming upon seeing her again in the morning.
After being aided yesterday by his stewards, he had found them quickly and given his gratitude, and asked for their help in providing refreshments for him and his favorite princess to enjoy in the morning. They had done their part and thus they had a wondrous breakfast to enjoy.
But it was not the only feast he was enjoying, apparently.
Céline had shown up not wearing some casual attire but the very same nightgown she had shown him last night.
The only thing keeping the inappropriate thoughts at bay this time was the immensely messy bed hair she had, which while very cute, was only effective at distracting him to an extent.
He gazed. A lot. How could he not? She was directly opposite him.
Honestly, he was confused above all else!
The way she acted so casually around him like this—it was like she thought they were a married couple or something! After all, a woman would only wear something like this nonchalantly for their significant other, surely…?
Perhaps she simply did not realize or share that view—or maybe was just that comfortable around him.
Or maybe… just maybe… he still had a great deal to learn about the whims of the opposite sex.
“You have some food on your face, Alear,” Céline pointed out that he had been messily eating. Rather than let him handle it, she had taken a napkin, leaned forward, and wiped across the side of his mouth herself.
The close proximity caused him to shudder with shock. The necessity for her to bend over to clean the mess as well, granting him an ample view of her chest? Well, it didn't do his breathing any good, to say the least. Céline wasn’t particularly gifted in that area, but when she was bent over like that, she didn’t need to be.
…and to be quite frank, he didn’t mind at all that she was small. If anything, being able to see a glimpse of what was there was frankly intoxicating.
“Are you alright…?” she interrupted him—and thank goodness she did. His thoughts were going places. Again. “You’re bright red in the face… you aren’t coming down with something, are—”
“N-No,” he interjected fast, not wanting her to worry. “I, uhm, just didn’t sleep too well, I think.”
It wasn’t a complete lie…
On the bright side, the innocence of her worry helped affirm his belief that she wasn’t doing this on purpose. It was all just a massive misunderstanding, if anything!
Perhaps the inevitability of that conversation he wished to have with her was getting to him more than he thought, causing him to see things that weren’t there.
Maybe.
Hm.
Alear pondered for a moment. Was he even truly ready for that conversation? If anything, everything that had transpired had made it abundantly clear he wasn’t. The possibility of simply having it? Terrifying.
He wasn’t ready. Why else would Céline’s actions be causing him to act up so much? He was seeing things that weren’t there because that looming conversation had already messed up his mental state.
It explained things perfectly.
Perhaps… Perhaps it was best just to treat this as a vacation only. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Alear sat back and exhaled, already feeling a weight being lifted from his shoulders. This singular acceptance had brought him a much desired sense of clarity, allowing him to enjoy his breakfast without a thousand thoughts invading his mind.
In the future, there would be another opportunity to have that conversation.
This week though… it wasn’t going to happen.
As if reaffirming his choice to be the correct one, the rest of the day was much smoother sailing. After eating her breakfast, Céline changed into her usual casual clothes and asked if he wanted to go for a walk around the Somniel. He accepted without hesitation.
It was wonderful. They chatted mostly about their memories, shifting topics whenever they reached a location relevant to a different recollection.
For once, Alear was able to empty his mind a little and just enjoy the moment.
“There's going to be a meteor shower tomorrow night,” she shared with him, clasping her hands together. “Would you like to watch it together?”
“Of course,” he answered. It wouldn't be the first time he had witnessed such an event, but to do so with her, the person most precious to him… it sounded phenomenal. “We could set up a little camp at Lookout Ridge. The view will be the best there.”
“Oh? Camping?” Céline sounded intrigued. “I’ve never done that before, though I’m sure that isn’t surprising.”
“I haven’t either—for probably a very similar reason.”
Céline giggled, a wondrously warm smile forming on her face that refused to fade. “I like this—how casual this all is. Our titles don’t matter here. We can do things we usually would not be able to do without somebody making a fuss about it. Don’t you agree?”
He could certainly relate. His stewards—usually Vander—would worry about him constantly. He could only imagine how worse it was for the princess of an entire nation. How many servants fussed over her everyday whereabouts? Probably a lot!
That was why this time away was important to her.
______
On the third day, Alear decided that he needed all the help he could with setting up the scene for the evening. Framme and Clanne were more than happy to do their part, as was Vander. Although he was apologetic about asking for their aid, the trio seemed to be grateful to be given any kind of work, and they naturally wanted to help out wherever they could.
Vander admitted he had been a bit bored, and although Framme and Clanne had claimed they had found something to keep themselves occupied, they would strangely not elaborate. Considering they were helping him out under such small notice, he decided not to bother them for details.
The third day, at least up until the evening meteor shower, was relatively ordinary. Céline had accompanied him on a walk around the Somniel again, spending a considerable amount of time playing with Sommie. Additionally, she had lent a hand with some of the gardening, confessing it was an activity she was able to engage very little in back home. Because of that, she was thoroughly enjoying herself.
They did not arrive at Lookout Ridge until the late evening, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. The sun was just beginning to set, and thanks to their location, they had the perfect view. Céline was naturally drawn to it, watching it intently. Whether she was taking it all in or was lost in thought was uncertain, but he saw no reason to inquire. Alear hadn’t forgotten this was a vacation—personal issues didn’t suddenly disappear, but she could at least rest easy knowing she wouldn’t have to talk about any of it.
That was his stance. Was a part of him still concerned? Certainly! But he knew overthinking hadn’t done him any good so far and that wouldn’t change. When she was ready to talk, he would listen.
Fortunately, they had plenty to distract themselves with. The stewards had prepared small snack boxes for them to enjoy at a moment’s notice, and whenever they wanted to call it a night, two separate tents had already been set up for them. For good measure, they had also brought over chairs from the plaza so they could relax and enjoy the magnificent view that awaited them.
Alear, having learned a little fire magic during his travels, was the one to light the logs that his stewards had collected, providing warmth to their campsite as the sunlight dwindled.
…and it was an act that Céline found immensely amusing. As to why, nothing could have prepared him for what she was about to say.
“That was kinda cute.”
Cute…?
“That fire,” she elaborated, having seen his confused look. “You’re not that adept at magic, are you?”
“Nope,” he didn’t deny it. “I know the basics, and even then, I could never conjure anything powerful.”
That was probably for the best. Anything more could have risked setting their tents—perhaps even the entire Somniel—ablaze. He recalled an unfortunate number of close cases in the past whenever the past denizens of this place practiced the art.
Céline took a few steps forward, her index fingers tapping together multiple times—a detail he only noticed because he was always a little too focused on her body language. That fidgeting extended to her mouth momentarily, her lips parting as if to speak before pressing shut again, but she eventually found her words.
“Perhaps…” Céline murmured at first, barely audible over the crackle of the fire, but the pause gave her time to adjust her tone to acquire volume and confidence. “I could be your tutor?”
That was an unexpected proposition, but he couldn’t deny his interest. It made him ponder what kind of teacher she would be. Would she scold him for every mistake, or reassure him and tell him he'll do better next time? He was curious to find out. “That does sound like fun.”
Céline relaxed her shoulders, whatever tension she had been carrying dissipating visibly from her frame while her smile returned—at least, momentarily. “I’m happy to hear that,” she said. “And it gives you more reason to visit, too.”
“I already have plenty of reasons to visit, Céline,” Alear did not think twice with that response.
Céline’s smile hadn’t faded, but when paired with the slight squint in her eyes, it was clear her expression was telling a different story. “I would like you to visit more, though.”
Alear took his time replying to that, bringing his focus to her eyes, and what they were telling what her mouth would not.
“Is this related to what you were talking about earlier?” Alear hadn’t forgotten what she had said. It mattered not that Céline had told him to forget about it—she had told him she was lonely, and he had seen how alive she had been here.
His presence clearly meant so much more to her… perhaps more than he could fathom.
Another relatable feeling.
Céline sighed, the flickering flame masking the sound well, but her discontent was as clear as day to him. “Yeah…” she mumbled, taking a seat on the ground before the campfire, watching how it danced closely. “I have no interest in any of these nobles my mother sends my way; I am not blind to the political gain they wish to achieve. Maybe with you around, I could get a break from being pestered.“
She wasn’t wrong.
If he was around more frequently, maybe her mother would think he was her suitor.
Heh.
That… was a funny thought.
…and a concerning one; it was making him significantly reconsider his earlier conclusion.
Alear looked once more at Céline's expression.
What he saw made him sad—for she was sad, too.
“You know—there’s a way we could resolve that problem,” he spoke—once again without hesitation.
It was only after the final word escaped his lips that he realized what he had done.
Céline did not give him time to backtrack.
“Oh? How so?” There was a careful curiosity within her voice now, the kind that suggested she already knew what he was trying to say, but wanted to hear the words herself.
At least, that’s what he liked to think. It was the only thing that held the calamity at bay.
“Well, I could—”
Alear paused. What did he want to say? The first thought was to suggest he play the role as her “Pretend suitor”. It would solve the problem she was having, certainly.
He glanced down at her hand, examining the ring she was wearing. The ring he had given her.
…this was the opportunity he was waiting for, wasn’t it?!
A chance to be direct about how he truly felt.
The mere thought was accumulating the nerves from within… but they could only multiply so fast!
He needed to act now before that hesitation completely consumed him.
No more overthinking. No more pause.
It was now or never!
“I… could be your suitor, Céline, ” he spoke, the words leaving him steadier than he would have liked—but they were said, and that was what was important.
This scenario was frankly perfect. If she reacted poorly, he could clarify his suggestion was a pretend deal.
“I—” Céline’s breath caught audibly, but she did not hold her pause for long. “...D-Do you really mean that?”
That was far from a poor reaction.
Not even close.
Alear knew never to celebrate too early, however. It was time to tell her what he really meant by that.
No more misunderstandings. Not this time.
“I do,” he answered, his words coming out more clearly than before. “You know… that Pact Ring I gave you, two years ago? It was intended to be a proposal.”
He wasn’t sure how he was saying these words. Too many times had he played this conversation in his head and completely screwed it up—in his own imagination, no less!
But right now, it wasn’t the mind speaking.
It was the heart.
Ceéline looked bewildered, her mouth mumbling like she wished to say something, but the words could not be found.
No answer wasn't a bad answer, at least not yet.
“But… I didn’t convey those feelings correctly, and you interpreted my declaration differently than I expected,” he continued, the confession escaping effortlessly now that the dam had broken.
His heart was beating a thousand times a minute, ready to burst out at a moment’s notice.
But strangely enough, it wasn’t a frightful beat, but rather an exciteful one.
“...and I was too scared to correct you—worried you would then reject me,” he was still worried about that, but at this point, it almost didn’t matter.
He honestly felt magnificent! This burden he had been dealing with for the better part of two years… he was finally letting it all out!
He wasn't sure how she'd respond at all, but regardless, he had said his piece.
Perhaps that much was enough.
“I know you still may not reciprocate, but I’ve been holding onto these feelings for two years now and—mhmm?!”
It was fleeting. Merely a second.
Céline had acted swiftly, closing the distance between them with the utmost haste. Alear hadn’t noticed she had moved at all until he felt the weight of her body against his, and were it not for him instinctively clutching her hips, they would have tumbled and fell.
She had kissed him.
Kissed him.
It was a moment that simultaneously felt like it lasted an eternity and yet no time at all. When she pulled away and he saw the crimson that had blossomed on her cheeks, he was half-tempted to put her newfound nervousness to rest by returning the kiss.
Alear wasn’t sure why he didn’t. Perhaps it was simply because he was still stunned by what just happened to him. A thousand dreams had come true, and he lacked the capacity to process it all.
Miraculously, even though she was undoubtedly going through a similar ordeal, Céline was able to speak. “I… I’m sorry, I just… you have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that, and… with everything you were saying, it just made me… act…”
Her cadence was rough around the edges, lacking all the elegance of her usual tone. She was absolutely conscious of it, pausing to swallow hard and regather her composure as much as she could.
“...Alear, when… you gave me that ring, I was really happy,” she began her side of the story. “But… I was just a princess, and you—you are the Divine Dragon! I couldn’t fathom the idea that you, of all people, were actually proposing to me…”
Céline raised her hand, observing the ring she had never once taken off.
“So I panicked, and blurted out about you being a true friend instead,” she continued. “When I realized what I had done, it felt too late to correct myself. I… imagine this all sounds familiar to you, doesn’t it?”
Alear was baffled. This entire time, she had been dealing with the exact same burden.
…and to think she'd be the one initiating this conversation too. Not a single scenario practiced in his head had prepared him for this possibility. He hadn't even thought of it, let alone considered it.
“So…” he spoke quietly, still a little stunned by it all. “That means…”
“Y-Yeah…” she exhaled, and it was a satisfying exhale he could relate to.
For a moment, nothing could be heard but the gentle flicker of the flame. They had both been given what they wanted, but Alear suspected she wasn’t sure what to do next. After all, he wasn’t quite sure either.
That is, until he recalled the impromptu kiss she had given him. It had happened far too quickly, and the feeling of her lips against his hadn’t been burned into his memory because of that. It was a problem that had to be resolved.
Therefore, Alear stepped forward and cupped her cheeks, the act slightly startling her. He gazed at her momentarily, noticing how entranced she now looked: the narrowed eyes, fidgeting mouth, and a sudden inability to maintain eye contact. It was all there. She knew what he was planning to do—and it was time for him to do it.
Gathering his courage, he leaned in, and their lips interlocked for the second time.
The first kiss had been terrific, but the spontaneous nature of it left him wanting. This second kiss, however, was different.
It was long, gentle, and soft. The abundance of doubts that once plagued them were no longer present, and thus, they could simply enjoy the feel of one another. For once, it felt wonderful to have a heart beating so hard.
Céline needed a moment to kiss back, but when she did, the wondrous sensation radiating throughout his body multiplied tenfold. Her hands found their way to his waist, clutching them firmly, like she was afraid he’d pull away at any moment.
Alear did, however, pull away.
He had to. After all, he wanted to hear what it sounded like when their lips separated, the subsequent mwah was beyond satisfying.
It also gave him an opportunity to monitor her expression, and what he saw took his breath away.
Céline had looked entranced before—but now she looked mesmerized. An augmented blush, eyes that were locked to his, and her lips still stretched out like she hadn’t quite realized his lips were now absent.
Luckily for her, she wouldn’t have to process that void at all. Alear dug back in, initiating a third kiss with amplified intensity, wishing more than anything to keep her looking spellbound. Indeed, it took her a moment to kiss back, but when she did, he was surprised to feel her matching his ferocity.
…and even more surprised to feel her eclipse it.
Just as Céline had been the one to initiate the first kiss, she was the first to escalate things further, prodding her tongue against his lips. The touch was gentle but very noticeable, like she was politely asking for entry… though he suspected once he opened that door, she wouldn’t be as polite.
Which is precisely why he opened them.
The result was greater than he could fathom. He certainly hadn’t been wrong to assume she’d intrude with enthusiasm, but he had underestimated just how passionate she’d be. Céline’s tongue dug in deep, wrestling with his own in a desperate attempt to seize control over the kiss—if it could even be called that anymore. Nevertheless, he did his best to match her strength, and with time, he successfully defended against her ambush and was now the one invading her mouth.
Of course, he doubted Céline had a problem with that. With the way he could feel her shuddering around his hands, it was likely this was what she wanted all along.
Alear wasn’t sure how long this particular kiss lasted, but not all things could last forever. As much as he didn’t want to, he unfortunately had to pull away to breathe.
…but when he did, her hand hastily clutched his chest and pulled on his clothing, tugging him closer so she could lock her lips against his once again. This was the second time she initiated a kiss, and the difference between it and the first could not be greater. An incredible hunger had awakened within her—and she was not finished with her feast.
Alear, however, had no choice but to pull away again. He needed a few more moments to let some air into his lungs, and her haste had prevented that. He was more than happy to indulge her thirst—but he hoped she would be able to put it on pause for just a moment!
She didn’t let him. Céline reacted immediately to his lips escaping from hers, pulling him back in before he could even think about breathing.
Therefore, he gathered his strength and pulled away once again.
“Céline—“
He hoped speaking to her would snap her out of it. It did not work.
Alear was pulled back in for another kiss.
“Céline.“
Next, he tried a sterner tone. It did not work.
Alear was pulled back in for another kiss.
“Céline, please, I—“
A gentler, more pleading cadence? That didn’t work either.
Alear was pulled back in for another kiss.
This newfound determination of hers was simultaneously thrilling and terrifying, but it could not persist. Alear had to do something to break her out of it, and with limited options available to him, he chose the first thing that came into his head.
While they passionately embraced, his hands calmly slid from her waist to some place else, only stopping once he felt something softer and squisher against his palms.
Then, he squeezed, and the subsequent shudder that swarmed through her body finally set him free.
“I—“ Céline looked like she had just woken up, but she was conscious enough to realize what he was doing, gazing back at where his hands were placed. A light giggle left her mouth. “Y-You’re touching my butt…”
Although her eyes fluttering back to him made it look like she was ready to lean back in—as if the sight of his lips alone was some sort of aphrodisiac to her—the hands on her rear were causing a distracting fluster keeping her in check.
More importantly, it was enough for her to realize how carried away she had gotten.
“S-Sorry, I just didn't think I'd enjoy kissing you that much…” she confessed. “It's been a long two years…”
A comment like that made him want to dig right back in—consequences be damned. But he had to remain composed too, as much as he desired nothing more than to kiss her, and to touch her, and to—
Alear bit his lip.
“...Yeah, it has,” he agreed.
Céline giggled, but did not say anything. He suspected she hadn’t really planned on what to do after telling the truth about her feelings—besides the trance-induced smooches.
Why were they even here again…? Something about a meteor shower?
Frankly, he couldn’t care less. He just wanted to kiss her more, and to feel her again, and—
Alear bit his lip again, but this time, he contemplated a little. What was stopping him from doing just that?
Maybe… just maybe… getting caught up in the moment was the right idea.
Thus, he cupped her chin, tilted her head up, and leaned forward—but stopped moments before their lips could once more intersect. It was a teasing gesture, but he liked seeing how breathless it made her.
“I think… we need to make up for all that lost time.”
“Y-Yes—mhmm!!”
Alear had no desire to treat her delicately—not after how thirsty she had been with those previous kisses. He now desired the same feast and did not hold back, prodding his tongue against her mouth. Naturally, she let him in without hesitation, and another battle of tongues commenced.
But kissing wasn’t the only thing he wished to do. He would be lying if he said he hadn’t fantasisied endlessly about the things he wished to do to her. They were all private thoughts he was prepared to bring to the grave, but now was an opportunity to make them a reality.
He demonstrated that by returning his hands to her ass, squeezing them in an effort to gain an advantage over their playful clash. It was only momentarily successful, however, prompting him to kick things up a notch.
Céline’s casual dress was thankfully nowhere near as puffed out as her ordinary one, nor was it as absurdly long; for that reason, it was effortless to guide his hand under the fabric. Feeling the soft fabric of her panties, barely shielding his fingers from touching raw skin, was beyond satisfying.
It was an advantageous move, too. He suspected Céline anticipated he would be bolder, but that didn’t mean she was prepared for how it would disturb her breathing. After all the turbulence she had put him through earlier, Alear felt he was justified in a little playful payback, something he demonstrated with a firm squeeze of her cheeks. The decision to do so was terrific, not just because it felt rewarding, but because it was causing her to shudder significantly.
Céline could barely keep up. He had her on the tip of her toes—literally. As for Alear, he was lost in the moment. Everything about this was simply sublime. He was addicted to kissing her like this, expressing his devotion in a way that didn’t require the complexity and articulation of words. This was something primal. It came from within.
And it felt good to awaken it.
The irony was not lost on him when Céline eventually pulled away, a fleeting strand of saliva the only thing connecting their lips. She was worn out, panting like she had just run a marathon. The expression she wore was exhilarating, and the only thing stopping him from reuniting their mouths was the knowledge that he had just been in her shoes. She needed a moment to breathe, and truthfully, so did he.
But if there was a lesson to learn from the day’s events, it was that Céline was always full of surprises.
“Do more.”
Those were not the words he ever anticipated to hear from somebody so breathless, but they were doing feral things to his mindset.
Alear was already planning to give her much, much more.
…but hearing her give him permission in such a sultry tone? It was intoxicating.
He didn’t even think. One moment, he was staring at her—the next, he felt her lips once again.
Although he could barely think about anything, the words “Do more.” echoed through his mind endlessly. It was a thankful reminder that seemingly anything was on the table.
Groping her ass was certainly satisfying, but there was much more to touch. Much more.
When a chill suddenly ran up his spine, he realized Céline had a similar idea. Her hands had crept towards his crotch, clutching his erection through his clothing. They did not remain idle, opting to rub him up and down, her motions experimental but undoubtedly effective.
Neither him nor her really knew what they were doing, but raw passion never required knowledge. It felt good to touch. That was all that mattered.
Alear felt compelled to return the favor, and to turn things up a notch while he was at it. He had originally planned to learn just how flat her chest really was, but the main prize awaited. Conveniently, his hands were already underneath her dress, so relocating them to the front wasn’t hard.
The first thing he realized was that she was wet. Very wet. Her panties were outrageously soaked, complimenting how hard she had made him. When a daring finger adventured beneath the fabric and touched her intimately for the first time, she finally let out a moan. It was faint, but there, and he realized she was holding back.
“You don’t have to hold back.”
He wanted to hear everything.
Céline swallowed hard, needing a moment to process not just his comment but how he was teasingly touching her.
“I get loud.”
“Then let me hear you.”
The love of his life exhaled heavily when another finger slipped underneath her panties, joining the other as his tips found her outer folds. He moved slowly, listening closely to how she reacted to each subtle motion, learning where the sensitive areas were from the elicited moans she was no longer holding back. With this strategy, she was able to communicate her weak spot whether she liked it or not, and he was eager to exploit that knowledge.
Alear didn’t dare insert a finger—not yet, at least. There was such a thing as too much pressure, especially for somebody who already looked this smitten just by having her clit stimulated.
True to her words, she was no longer holding back her sounds, and the cadences he was hearing were unlike anything he had heard before. Shaky exhales, delightful hums, and drawn-out moans. It was all there, and it was the most magnificent melody he had ever heard.
“A-Alear…”
…and hearing his name spoken so passionately was the cherry on top.
Céline gripped his clothing, needing something to support her legs after how shaky they had become. She had forsaken returning the favor for now, but he didn’t mind when he understood what it signified.
To help support her as much as he could, he used his spare hand to hold her close, but did not abandon playing with her pussy. Now that she knew she wasn’t going to stumble anytime soon, she could focus entirely on how she felt.
“Ahh…. ahhh…!!”
Alear thought he had seen the plateau of her moans, but he was still hearing brand new tones.
Most importantly, she had not been lying about the volume. It was lucky they were on the outskirts like this—she could be as loud as she wanted this way.
Céline’s quivering amplified suddenly, leading him to tighten how firmly he was holding onto her, but even that didn’t stop him from touching her with the same rhythm. It was miraculous even with his support that she hadn’t tumbled, but it was becoming blatantly clear what had caused the sudden boost in imbalance.
Fortunately for his princess, he had no desire to pull away, not after learning just how terrific he was making her feel. He was not going to stop until the very end.
“A-Alear…!!”
Céline experienced one last spasm, and one final moan, both of which were equally vigorous.
Alear maintained his cadence as best as he could, letting her ride the high, only finishing when she, well, finished.
“I came…!”
All good things had to come to an end, and it was just as well. Céline really, really needed to breathe. He held her tightly while she snuggled into his chest, giving her all the time she needed to recuperate. It was the least he could do after getting a little carried away himself—even if she had encouraged it.
Despite the need to rest, Céline did not remain quiet. Every now and then, a little muffled chuckle would treat his ears. He liked to think she was processing everything that had just happened, and that she was feeling very happy about it.
“Alear…” she purred.
“Mm?”
“I think…” she mumbled, lifting her head from the comfort of his chest so she didn’t sound muffled. “I think I want to return the favor.”
He knew exactly what she meant, but there was also something thrilling about how vague that statement was at the same time.
How was she going to return the favor? He was curious.
But there was something to address first, and it was the whole reason they were out here in the first place.
“I think if we do that, we’re going to miss the meteor showers.”
Alear hadn’t forgotten that his stewards had helped prepare the perfect watching spot for them. Missing out on the event would make him feel a little guilty, even if it was for a life-changing reason.
Céline stood on the tip of her toes and planted a gentle kiss on his lips. It lacked energy, but it made his heart flutter all the same. Her arms wrapped around his body, tightly clinging to him like she was afraid letting go would make him disappear. “I’d rather shower you with kisses, hehe…”
“...was… was that a pun?” Alear had noticed the inflection—and to be totally honest, it had been adorable.
Céline pouted, acting far less dignified than she usually was. “Alear… you have no idea how giddy I feel right now, so please excuse me if I feel frivolous and would prefer catching up on two years worth of kisses.”
Fair enough. But there was something to correct. “I wasn’t complaining, my dear.”
His beautiful princess exhaled. “Ah… dear… I think I like that. C-Can you say that again?”
“Like this, my dear?”
Céline snickered.
He was beginning to like this little mischievous side of hers.
She felt relaxed—unburdened by all the stress that awaited her at home. Here, she was free to let loose and truly relax.
And that was a very good thing.
“Mhmm…” she purred again. “I think… we should move to the bedroom.”
Alear hadn’t forgotten about the work his stewards had put in, but at the same time, they wouldn’t want him to jeopardise this magical day just so he wouldn’t feel guilty. Ironically, that would make them feel guilty.
…he also hadn’t forgotten that Céline was in no position to walk anywhere. Her legs weren’t quivering nearly as badly, but the last thing he wanted was to have her fall along the way.
It was a good thing he had a set of strong arms.
Alear scooped her up without warning, one arm securely beneath her knees, the other around her back. Being lifted prompted an understandable gasp, but it morphed into an infectious smile that refused to leave.
“I feel like a bride,” she giggled, resting one arm around the back of his neck for extra support.
“We aren’t married yet.”
Céline raised her hand, observing the Pact Ring. “We practically are already, you know.”
Alear grinned. Through a technicality, they indeed sort of were. It really depended on how one interpreted the Pact Ring.
But that wasn’t good enough.
“Not until we have a proper wedding.”
“Is that a promise?”
“It is.”
___
Although there was no urgency to reach his bedroom, there was something exhilarating about trying to get there as fast as he could. Céline certainly had no quarrels about it—she was joyfully squealing, very much conscious over the fact they were heading somewhere to do more lewd things.
Long overdue lewd things.
Alear contemplated whether he had acted too boldly and they had progressed too fast, but as his princess had said… It had been a very long two years. They were simply playing catch-up—and that meant tonight was going to be a long one.
Upon finally reaching his bedroom, Céline was promptly thrown onto the bed.
…as carefully as one could while still defining it as “thrown”.
Alear promptly shut and locked the door. There was a chance his stewards would want to clean up while they believed he was absent for the night, so it was best to make sure there were no interruptions. She was for his eyes only, and his for hers.
Upon gazing back at his dearest beloved, he saw her smiling warmly at him. He did not hesitate to join her on the bed, taking a deep breath upon doing so.
This was it.
Alear was excited—he honestly never thought he’d reach this far. He was ready, but he had to make absolutely sure she was too.
“Céline, just in case you’re having any doubts, this is your oppor—mhmm!”
…being interrupted by a kiss was going to become a long-standing tradition, it seemed.
Regardless, the message was heard loud and clear.
Céline couldn’t wait any longer, tugging at his clothing and doing whatever she could to rid him of it. Alear took a cue from her book and did the same to her, peeling away the straps secured on her shoulders and letting gravity do the rest of the work.
The bra she was wearing was a basic one—which meant it was easy enough to discard, and he was thrilled to learn she was just as small as she looked. Céline wasn’t completely flat—there was a little something there—but she wasn’t far from being the definition.
He wasn’t going to complain either way. This girl could be any size; he’d love them all the same, for they would be hers.
Alear’s attire was more complicated than hers and she was having difficulty taking it off, though that was partially because her hands were beginning to shake, impeding her progress. With the way she was fidgeting with her mouth, he wondered if nerves were beginning to brew. Either that, or the muscular chest she had uncovered was doing wondrous things to her.
Nonetheless, Alear assisted by choosing to discard the rest of his clothing himself, believing she wouldn’t want her gradual progress to dampen the mood. Céline opted to do the same, until at long last, both of them were left in their underwear.
“...You good?” he had to ask.
“Y-Yes!” she responded promptly. “It’s just, well, uhm… you are more muscular than I anticipated…”
Heh. So he was right.
“Well, you’re not too bad yourself, my dear,” he teased back—and it was the unfathomable truth. He had glimpsed her long and slender legs before, but seeing them again up close was fantastic.
“R-Really?” Céline sounded apprehensive, gazing down at her exposed chest. “Would you not prefer I was bigger? Do men not—mhmm!!”
Doubt was silenced with kisses. This was their love language now.
“They’re perfect the way they are,” he provided reassurance, and although she pouted a little as an answer, she eventually conceded and exhaled.
Alear worked his eyes across Céline’s body, admiring every single little detail. Her slim stomach, her exposed shoulders, her wide hips… she looked…
…what was the word he was looking for…?
Beautiful? Undoubtedly. But that wasn’t the word he was looking for. Breathtaking? Certainly so. But once again…
It then clicked all at once.
Seeing her exposed body like this made him want to kiss it all over. For that reason, she looked delicious.
…and what was potentially the most delicious part of all was still hidden away—but even from this distance, he could smell how strongly she desired him, and could see how wet she still was.
In a way, it had been awfully rude of him to leave her in a soaking wet state like that. For that reason, it was his responsibility to clean up the mess he had made.
Céline believed his hands firmly clutching her shoulders meant he wanted another kiss, but instead, he gently pushed and guided her onto her back. Only when he started spreading her legs did she realize what he had planned.
“W-Wait, Alear… I told you I would be returning the favor…”
He hadn’t forgotten, but just as she was prone to losing control around him, he too was the same.
Perhaps even more so! Was that the draconic blood in him speaking? Either way, he had a craving, and that yearning grew even stronger once he pulled away her panties, leaving her completely in the nude. Céline’s expression didn’t hide how embarrassed or nervous she felt, but she didn’t make an effort to cover up either. It was an adorable look, but his eyes couldn’t stay from the prize for long.
Alear did not hesitate. He dug in, and the results were far grander than he ever could have expected. He knew not what she would actually taste like, but the flavor that did enter his mouth was divine. There was something bitter yet sweet about it, and it was strong too. The flavor was unlike anything he had ever tasted before, but what struck him the most was just knowing it was how she tasted, and that he was responsible for making her this way.
Did he know what he was doing? Not really. But with somebody as sensitive as her, he thankfully didn’t need to. Everything his tongue sampled made her quiver, and just like before, he focused heavily on deducing what parts made her shiver the most.
It was an effective approach that rewarded him with a soft pair of thighs brushing up against his cheeks, holding him securely in place. It was an ethereal experience, having all five senses stimulated simultaneously like this.
Whenever he wanted to, he could gaze up and see the faint curvature of her breasts, with a beautiful expression not far behind that.
The softness of her thighs could not be understated. They were just the right level of squishy, and he would be content resting between them forever if he could.
Céline’s moans were illustrious by this point. She had spoken about her volume like it was a bad thing. It wasn’t! It was more magnificent to his ears than any song he had heard in his life.
Being so close up to her like this meant he had front-seat tickets to her aroma, and it was a scent that was driving him crazy.
Lastly, her taste. The bitterness had dwindled somewhat, likely since he was cleaning up more fluids than she could produce, but that wasn’t going to deter him whatsoever.
All in all, eating out the love of his life was a surreal experience. The only drawback was that it was concluding much faster than he expected it to, but he took a little pride in that at the same time.
He had figured out by now that Céline’s body did not hide when she was close. Everything, from the sounds she was making to the rate at which she quivered, rapidly began to amplify. This didn't disturb his cadence, even when her thighs tightened around him. He kept going and going and going until…
“A-Alear… I'm cumming…!!” Céline whispered in a broken, barely audible voice. It was miraculous she could even speak at all. Although he could tell from her body alone, he was thankful for the warning; there was just something magical about hearing it.
It was only when the shivers started to decrease and the moans started to dampen that he finally granted her mercy, pulling away now that she lacked the strength to hold him in place. He pulled away, observing the damage. Her arms and legs were spread out in different positions, her head was tilted to one side, and she was drooling a little. Were it not for the return of those adorable little giggles, he would have questioned if she was even conscious!
“Wow…”
Alear smiled a little pridefully. It was good to know that, well, he did a good job!
“Everything okay down there?”
Céline laughed, like he had asked a silly question. Honestly, it kind of was, but he had to make sure.
“More than okay. My ears are ringing, but it’s nice…” Céline murmured, still a little out of it, but very content. “But… now I owe you twice.”
“You don’t owe me anything,” he disagreed. “I’m just happy that I made you feel good.”
His princess pouted. “It’s hard to argue back if you say something like that.”
Alear’s smile grew, not just from the satisfaction of pleasing her to this degree, but from her conceding any need to owe him back. He wasn’t disinterested in what such things could entail at all, but after everything that had transpired so far, he was beginning to desire the main course. Further appetizers could wait until later.
To demonstrate his desire, he carefully climbed onto the bed, resting his hands on the pillow she was resting on. Céline exhaled, not anticipating him to be suddenly on top of her like this, and the transcendent expression before him prompted another spontaneous kiss. Neither of them were at full capacity for a full make-out session, but being able to intersect their lips again was enough.
When he pulled away, she licked her lips and swallowed. “I think I can taste myself.”
“...I’m sorry?” Alear wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad thing.
“No, no apologies needed! It’s… interesting!”
Good it was.
“Hey, Céline, do—”
“Yes.”
Alear blinked. Honestly, he was more surprised the interruption didn’t happen because of a spontaneous kiss, though he supposed it would be difficult for her to do so in this position. “But I hadn’t said what I was about to ask.”
“Alear… I can feel you pushing up against me…” she playfully teased him. “And you’ve gotten me all ready for it too.”
That last part wasn’t intentional; his thirst was to blame for that.
But it was convenient.
“Alright, but would you like to be on top?” Alear suggested, but when he didn’t receive an immediate answer, he elaborated. “I, uhm, heard it’s easier for a girl during her first time, so…”
The awkward explanation towards the end wasn’t left unnoticed, making her giggle, but she nevertheless nodded. “I think that’s a good idea, but that’s a very funny thing to say for somebody currently on top of me.”
So that was why she didn’t say anything at first…
“I’m sorry. I don’t really know what I’m doing,” he apologized. “I’m kinda just going with the flow.”
It had worked well so far, admittedly, but he had to be honest about it.
“So am I,” she wasn’t afraid to admit she was in the same boat. “So let’s learn together.”
The two promptly switched positions, with Alear enjoying the comfort of a pillow against his head while Céline slowly but surely worked towards straddling his lap. The duration wasn’t as quick as she would have liked, but after being driven to an orgasm twice in such a small period, she could hardly be blamed.
Alear still had his underwear on, and that was a piece of clothing Céline had no struggles with removing.
That being said, seeing his cock for the very first time did grant her pause. She wasn’t intimidated or scared at what she was seeing—she was simply mesmerized.
A timid hand reached out, clenching it with a softness that contrasted how ridiculously hard he was. It felt amazing, especially considering he had yet to feel any stimulation of his own. Céline let out a long exhale, using her other hand to wipe her mouth as she felt him for the very first time.
He had no idea what was going through this girl’s head, but considering how starstruck she looked, it was undoubtedly very good things.
Céline eventually managed to snatch her eyes away, looking at him directly. “...are you sure you don’t want me to return the favor? Because I’d be happy to do so…”
“Céline—I’ll be happy with whatever you decide to do.”
She sighed in response, but she couldn’t help but smile. As non-helpful as his answer was, it was the truth.
“Mhmm,” she decided to stroke it a little, in awe at how it pulsed in her hand. She did so gradually, getting a feel for every inch, and paying close attention to his expression to see if anything struck more than the rest.
But in the end, her hand ultimately departed.
“That can wait, then…” she made her decision. “Because I want it inside me…”
Making that decision filled her with determination and confidence, demonstrated by how she hastily returned to straddling his lap. Her hand returned to his shaft, but only to help aim it skyward. She paused one last time, and he had no doubt she was internally processing what she was about to do.
He was half-tempted to offer her an out… but this was Céline; she was one of the strongest people he knew, and a little pain was nothing. She could handle it.
With an apprehensive breath, she aligned his cock with her entrance and lowered her body.
The initial intersection was enough to startle them both, the sensitivity grander than either could have anticipated. Alear was especially bewildered by the sensation; the touch of her hand was amazing, but feeling the warmth and wetness of her pussy was on a completely different level. He was honestly worried he would climax prematurely if it got any better than this, but he hoped the need to focus on her safety and security would keep him grounded. He knew she would be fine, of course, but it was natural to worry about the love of your life anyway.
When Céline started sinking his cock into her pussy, letting the head slip inside, she winced. The pressure was a bit much, but she didn’t let it deter her. She swallowed hard and pushed through any discomfort, accepting another inch, and then another, and then another…
…until at last, it was fully inside.
Alear exhaled, trying to adjust to this newfound sensation. It felt immaculate. The warmth coiling around his dick was scorching, stimulating every single spot at once. This was how she felt, and not even his wildest imagination could have prepared him for it.
Even so, there was a priority greater than his pleasure. “...How are you feeling…?”
“Mhmm…” she mumbled, looking understandably worn out, but the determination in her eyes hadn’t faded. “It did hurt a little… but less than I thought it would…”
That was reassuring to hear.
Céline chuckled through the lingering pain, leaning forward gently and resting her hands on his chest. “...You’re q-quite big…”
“S-Sorry,” it was an unusual thing to apologize for, but he felt compelled to.
“Nonsense… I wouldn’t have it any other way…” she breathed heavily, using this pause to adapt to how everything felt. The fact she was conversing with him like this helped put any lingering worries to rest; this was nothing for his steadfast princess. “I think… it’s a perfect fit…”
Céline illustrated what she meant by beginning to rock her hips back and forth, albeit very gradually. This was the first time she was taking him and she understood the necessity of taking things at her own pace. Even so, every faint motion was enough to send frequent shivers up his spine. Alear could feel every nudge and every adjustment, and he was hooked.
Of course, Céline wasn't content with these subtle movements. Once convinced she was handling them well enough, she switched gears and raised her body instead. That in itself wasn't difficult, but lowering it back down did cause a shiver-induced exhale or two.
Nonetheless, she persevered, and even decided this rhythm wasn't fast enough for her. Her tempo increased at a noticeable pace, and although everything was still arguably slow, the difference was noticeable.
“It's not hurting anymore…” Céline informed him, a gesture he appreciated. “It feels kinda good now…”
He loved hearing that. After all, the greatest pleasure of them all was not something experienced individually, but just simply knowing you were pleasuring the person you loved the most.
“It feels good for me too.”
Céline giggled, smirking mischievously at him right after. “I can tell.”
Alear scoffed amusingly. There was an irony in such an answer, but he wasn’t going to point it out. He liked how she could be a little cheeky, even during all of this.
Although her current cadence was satisfying, Céline understood she could do much, much more. She bit down hard on her lip when it was time to sink again, and this time, she took a little more of him, not ending until everything was inside her this time.
The pressure did reawaken some pain, the sensation of having him in her deepest part partially to blame. But it was also partially to blame for the surge of pleasure coursing through her veins.
And she understood that with time, one would far eclipse the other. With that in mind, she abandoned her rhythm, exchanging it for one with greater speed that wasn't afraid to take him deep. Alear could tell she was still adjusting to it all, but it was becoming more challenging to locate any signs of discomfort on her face.
It wasn’t long before she was riding him like a pro. Her body bounced up and down vigorously, refusing to stop even for a moment, and it was a sight he knew would be burned into his memory forever.
Just watching her take his cock alone was enough, but the pleasure on top of that? He was speechless.
She was good at this. Very, very good.
…and she was very, very wet. It was no wonder she was able to take him so frantically. This was the culmination of two years of misunderstandings all melting away and it showed.
Céline kept up the pressure for some time, her rhythm wild enough to keep up the pleasure without exhausting her hastily.
The most magical moments were whenever his cock dug deep, pushing up against the entrance to her womb. They caused frequent exhales from them both, neither able to quite fathom the intensity.
In a way, it felt too good. Their brains couldn’t keep up, let alone think properly. They were simply living in the moment, making up for all this lost time with every thrust.
It was miraculous this tempo hadn’t made him cum yet—but when he felt her tightening up all of a sudden, dwindling her rhythm to an extent, he knew he wasn’t going to last much longer.
“Céline—mhmm!!”
There it was.
Honestly, he was surprised it hadn’t happened sooner, but he wasn’t against another make-out session. This one did not have anywhere near the enthusiasm of the others, but there was an understandable reason for that.
Céline rocked her hips back and forth, keeping him firmly sealed inside her as she moaned into his mouth, only breaking free from his lips to give him the most terrifying word she could ever say in this moment.
“Inside!”
Right on cue—as if telling him that was the trigger—she came. The cadence was disrupted, her body wouldn’t stop quivering, and she could barely kiss him while she moaned endlessly into her mouth.
Those weren’t the only indicators, however. She tightened up even more, gripping him with an outrageous heat that his mind could barely comprehend.
But it was enough. More than enough.
Alear came, his cock throbbing endlessly inside her as he erupted, filling her to the brim with his seed for the very first time. His orgasm complemented hers, the sudden warmth deep inside her not left unnoticed, making an immense climax even greater.
It was a moment that felt like it lasted an eternity, yet no time at all. Once the last rope of cum was safely let out inside her deepest parts, Céline finally collapsed on top of her equally-exhausted lover, breathing heavily.
Neither said nor did anything. They simply basked in the warmth of each other’s bodies, giving each other time they needed to recover, embracing the afterglow to its fullest.
It was a different kind of pleasure—one he hadn’t really thought about.
But it was equally as valid as the raw intimacy, perhaps greater to an extent.
The person he loved the most was now within his arms, and they had shared a moment they would never forget.
The misunderstanding that had plagued him for almost two years no longer mattered. She had been in the same predicament all along, but they had finally talked to one another, embracing the love they had.
It felt like a dream.
But this was real—and he couldn’t be happier.
___
Alear wasn’t sure when he had fallen asleep, nor was he sure whether what had happened actually happened.
But that post-awakening confusion didn’t linger; the light weight on his body could not be ignored, nor could the wonderful flower-scented aroma of her hair.
Céline was sleeping comfortably on his chest, relying entirely on his body to keep her warm. The afterglow had been so intense they hadn’t even gotten under the covers. It was a good thing it had not been a cold night.
The stirring from his waking was enough to disturb her sleep, but as she hummed and giggled, it was clear his princess didn’t mind.
“Mhmm,” she purred into his neck, almost tempted to fall back asleep in such a safe spot, but she managed to not succumb to that temptation. “I thought that was all a dream.”
Alear snorted. They really were perfect for each other. “You took the words out of my mouth.”
Céline gazed up at him with a light smile and twinkling eyes. She had never looked so happy.
It was a good look for her.
…as was the messy bed hair.
“...Hey, Céline…” he whispered. “I’m happy you’re here.”
“As am I,” she giggled. “And I think… we must spend the rest of this vacation making up for all that lost time.”
She followed up that comment with a cheeky wink, contrasted by a heavy blush.
“I thought that was last night,” he teased, knowing it would make her adorably pout—which she did.
But that didn’t deter her. “Not for two years,” she clarified. “And the rest of this vacation won’t be enough either, so we best get to work, hmm?”
Alear found that declaration simultaneously exhilarating and a tinsy bit frightening.
She wasn’t wrong though. It was time for them to “relax”.
But before then, there was something on his mind he wanted clarification on. As they started to get dressed for the day (albeit somewhat reluctantly, but they DID need to eat something, especially after leaving the snack boxes at the campsite like a bunch of lovestruck idiots… which they were…), he decided it was best to ask then and there.
“Céline. May I ask something?”
Céline smiled warmly at him. He always loved her smile, but something about it was even more loveable now. “Yes, of course.”
“That swimsuit you wore yesterday, and the nightgown—”
“Were they intentional?” Céline interrupted him, looking strangely elevated all of a sudden. But then she realized the mistake she had made and rushed towards him, smooching him promptly on the lips. “Absolutely.”
It seemed this was a story she was keen to tell.
“It was Queen Ivy’s advice,” she added, a revelation that surprised him a little. “Well, to be more specific, it was advice she passed onto me from the Emblem of Revelation.”
Emblem of Revelation…
Ah. That was…
Heh. Of course. That made sense.
It was a little comforting too. Something about the Emblems playing even a small role in helping two awkward souls confess their feelings… It was nice.
“I was honestly not sure if you liked me the same way,” Céline continued, an admission that honestly surprised him. He honestly thought he had done a poor job at hiding it, but for somebody who also had doubts, it made sense why she hadn’t interpreted things that way. “So she suggested I figure it out myself by doing things that would draw your attention. Apparently, it's a good way to gauge if somebody likes you…”
…She wasn't wrong there.
“...Want me to wear them again?”
“...Yes please.”
___
Céline’s promise to make up for lost time was not immediate, but when there was food to eat and evidence to erase, the delay made sense. They returned to the campsite first and foremost, using the opportunity to enjoy the snacks left for them. Fortunately, there was nothing there that could have been spoiled overnight.
It was a little sad they missed the meteor showers, sure, but what occurred instead was well worth the sacrifice.
Miraculously, the fire he had conjured for the campsite was still flickering. Céline complimented his magical skill because of it, and stated she still didn’t mind being his tutor, though couldn’t promise whether or not they’d be able to focus on their studies. Although the stewards would be happy to clear up the campsite, they figured it was best to do so themselves, at least to give the impression it was used. It was also a good-morning activity to get the blood flowing and wake them up a bit.
Truthfully, Alear was surprised she hadn’t jumped on him at any point and showered him with kisses.
Because that’s what he wanted to do to her.
Her restraint was impressive, and the example kept him in check.
When Céline suggested they relax by the pool for a bit, he was thrilled, and just as she promised, she emerged in her swimsuit.
It was beautiful as ever, perhaps more so. Was it the knowledge of what they had done that made her look sexier than usual? He wasn’t sure.
He expected her to use this opportunity to sunbathe, or take a dip.
What he wasn’t anticipating was for her to sit down beside him and begin playing with his cock.
“Céline, what are you—mhmm!!”
That was fast.
But the message was heard and he kept his mouth shut.
“This guy down here is more honest than you are, my dear,” she stated, and it wasn’t a lie. But how could he not react in such a way after seeing her like that?
Céline decided she wished to keep her mouth shut too—and did so by pulling down his shorts and taking his erect cock into her mouth. Clearly, she hadn’t forgotten about paying him back.
…but what a location to choose to do it! His stewards were likely up and about—and although he doubted they would disturb them here, that risk was still there.
Most importantly, it felt amazing.
Céline’s mouth wasn’t quite as warm as her pussy, but it didn’t need to be when she had a tongue to use. It danced around his length as she sucked on his dick enthusiastically, doing so experimentally.
She was knowledgeable enough to know to avoid using her teeth, and that the more she took in, the better.
Be that as it may, she didn’t get too carried away. Céline understood her limits, but also how to surpass them, gradually taking more inside her mouth as they progressed.
It felt divine. Something about sitting back and watching her go at it was amazing to watch, and it was complimented magnificently by a swimsuit that highlighted her thighs and her hips, giving him plenty of eyecandy to look at. The worry about being caught? It was still there. But the thrill? It far eclipsed any concern he had.
He could watch her go at this for hours. He really could.
But there was something else he had in mind, too. It was a little bit of a deviation from what she was currently doing, but it felt appropriate to ask for it after she had already gotten his cock nice and wet.
“Céline?” he called to her, and for a moment, she didn’t respond. But eventually, she slightly tilted her head and looked up at him, but did so in a way that kept his dick inside her, a faint bulge appearing on her cheek that he couldn’t keep his eyes away from.
“Mhmm…?” Céline wasn’t sure what he wanted, but she was sure she wanted to keep sucking his cock.
Alear contemplated his request—she was clearly having the time of her life sucking him off.
But it wasn’t like this would be the only time she’d do that.
“Can you… use your chest?”
Céline didn’t answer. In fact, she simply looked at him for a few moments completely motionlessly, like she wasn’t sure she had heard him correctly.
But eventually, she receded from his length, a satisfying pop leaking from her lips as she did so.
“...My chest…? Do you mean…?” Céline looked understandably apprehensive.
“Yeah, if you don’t mind,”
“But…”
Were it not for the necessity to lean up, he would have interrupted her with a kiss. Alas, the distance meant she wouldn’t be surprised by the gesture, and that defeated the whole point of it!
“I told you they’re already perfect,” Alear reassured her. “But you don’t have to if you don’t want to.”
“N-No, I don’t mind… I just wasn’t expecting it…” she shared her perspective. “But I would like to try.”
Céline undid the straps on her shoulders, letting gravity expose her chest. Alear sat up, knowing she would be able to perform better if she was resting between his legs and he wasn’t laid down. His dearest got into position, understandably still looking a little unsure, but she knew he wouldn’t have made such a request to tease her.
She placed her hands on the side of her breasts, pushing them together and giving her a little cleavage to work with. It wasn’t much to work with, but Alear couldn’t deny his satisfaction once he felt their softness coil around his cock. She was indeed too small—and he was too big— for a “proper” paizuri, but that wasn’t what he wanted. He simply wanted to feel her boobs against his cock, and that’s precisely what he got.
Understanding Céline hadn’t prepared for this at all, he took charge, thrusting so she wouldn’t have to do anything but maintain her position. What he learned was that even small breasts were enough to make him feel amazing. The softness and the squishiness were still very much there, and it felt magnificent to slide between her tits like this.
Seeing him enjoy this as thoroughly as he did helped Céline to relax. She didn’t move much, not wanting to jeopardize his rhythm, but she did provide some extra saliva to help lubricate his cock, letting it leak from her mouth and spill onto her cleavage. Alear used the crown of her head as support for his hands, gripping her hair firmly but not too tightly, and using that to aid the strength of his thrusts.
“Céline…” he moaned—enjoying this far more than he thought he would. “I think I’m close…”
He had that earlier blowjob to thank—there was no way he would be able to fuck her chest like this if she hadn’t gotten him this wet.
Alear was ready to let it all out over her tits, but hearing his warning caused something… feral… to snap from within his sexy princess. She did not hesitate to lean forward and swallow his cock without warning, the change in pressure thrilling.
…and most importantly, it was precisely what he needed to finally let loose. Knowing she wanted him to cum inside her mouth? It was doing outrageous things to his mind.
He nevertheless complied with her wishes—happily, at that. He came, letting out everything into the warmth of her mouth, watching dizzyingly as her throat contracted with every swallow.
This was the first time she was tasting his seed… and it seemed she was a fan.
The timing couldn’t have been better. By the time she had pulled away and rolled out her tongue, showing him that nothing remained, they began hearing the steward twins conversing nearby.
Framme and Clanne wanted to check in on them both, and by the time they arrived, all the evidence of their naughtiness had been erased. Céline conversed with them like nothing had happened, making up some story on the spot about how they had enjoyed the meteor showers, even as his semen swam down her throat.
___
The remaining few days of vacation were… exhausting, to say the least. It contrasted the idea of “relaxation” significantly.
But Alear was not complaining about it.
After wrapping things up at the pool, he fucked her on the Somniel outskirts. They were less likely to get caught here, but the thrill was still present, and both were keen to experience it again.
He took her from behind as she rested against a tree, groping her butt as much as he wanted to. This was the first time he had taken charge during sex and he was not afraid to be a little merciless.
…it was something she had encouraged, after all.
“Faster…”
“Harder…”
They were her favorite words—and he rewarded them with a heavy creampie.
The fifth day was no different. They decided to be a little naughty at the terrace, fucking in plain sight, and in a compromising position no less! He had lifted and held her, her legs wrapped around him while he pumped her full of cum.
The sixth day was no different. They used the guest bedroom this time. Céline hadn’t exactly been sleeping in it a whole lot, so they had to give the impression it was used to avoid suspicion. There wasn’t really any need to hide their relationship, but there was something fun about nobody else knowing.
The seventh and final day… was no different. Well, perhaps it was different in the sense that they had more sex than any other day.
But there was a good reason for that—Céline would be departing in the morning, and there would be a good few days before they could properly see each other again due to her duties.
“...You’ve came inside me a lot this week,” Céline mentioned mid-fuck. She was currently on all fours, being taken from behind, pulling her hips back whenever he pushed his forwards. It was a joint effort, and it made certain he reached in deep.
They had become very good lovers.
“It’s as you said,” Alear confidently fucked her, always enthralled by the sight before him. “I’m making up for lost time.”
“I could get pregnant.”
It was a reminder of the consequences of their actions.
But she didn’t say it in a way that sounded like a warning. Far from it.
“That’s the idea,” Alear didn’t hide his intentions, hastening his rhythm, the urge to breed her stronger than ever now that she had outright mentioned the inevitable outcome.
“Mhmm…” Céline liked that answer, but she wasn’t done speaking. “It would be wonderfully improper for our wedding, you know.”
“What do you mean?”
“It’s a little frowned upon to conceive before a wedding,” she clarified.
In a way, they were technically married, but he understood what she meant. “It doesn’t bother me what other people think, Céline. Besides… Although it’s not something I like to flaunt, I am the Divine Dragon. I’m sure they’ll understand.”
Céline giggled—as well as one could while being pounded ruthlessly. “You misunderstand what I’m trying to say, my dear.”
“Hmm…?” Alear was perplexed… but then it clicked.
This girl… she liked being a little naughty! He could already imagine it now—his beautiful bride in white, heavily pregnant with their child.
A message to all that they truly, truly loved each other.
He liked it.
“In that case, I think I’ll need to breed you properly.”
Before Céline could ask what he meant by that, Alear firmly grabbed her hips and guided her onto her back. He moved his hands to her legs, spread them open, and then back. Céline was a flexible girl, and he had every intention of taking advantage of that. Alear then deliberately fell on her—catching himself with his hands before he could collide. He gripped his cock and plunged back in, gathering all his strength to pound her with all his might.
Céline understood his intentions, her legs soon wrapping lightly around his back—enough strength to communicate that he wasn’t going anywhere, but not enough to halt his rapid thrusts.
Alear gave into his draconic side, abandoning reason and thought to give her the most ferocious fuck yet.
…and Céline loved every single moment of it.
“I want it… I want your baby…” she purred and purred into his ear, knowing it would be intoxicating to his mind. “Make me pregnant…!!”
Her words were a trigger for him, and with one final thrust, he had his most magnificent orgasm yet. Céline held him close with both legs and hands, accepting everything he had to offer as he poured his seed directly into her womb. It was nowhere near the first time he had finished inside her by this point, but this particular one was the most feral. His lips met hers as her own orgasm joined his, tongues intersecting as pure bliss radiated throughout their bodies.
It was the final intimate moment of their vacation—and one to remember.
___
It had been half a year since the vacation that changed Alear and Céline’s lives forever, and in recognition of that, they had deliberately held the date of their wedding six months after it.
There was a reason they had opted for that timeframe rather than something more traditional, like a year.
Although there hadn’t been much notice between the declaration of their relationship and the subsequent wedding, it mattered not. The Divine Dragon and Firene’s princess marrying? That was cause for celebration—and all nations were willing to do their part to contribute with the preparations. Certainly, the Pact Ring complicated the technicalities of it all, but as far as the people—and they themselves, truthfully—were concerned, this wedding was the real deal.
“Nervous?” Louis asked her. As her father had passed, he was the one responsible for escorting her down the aisle. Alfred would have been the first choice, but there was a reason he could not be present for the role.
“Nervous…? About marrying the love of my life in front of so many people?” Céline scoffed. “Well, maybe a little.”
“I’ll be with you,” Louis reassured her, prompting her to nod. He was somebody she could rely on.
“Céline, you look so beautiful!” Chloé, the first bridesmaid she had chosen, complimented her dress. She had responded very well to the relationship and marriage announcements, having been one of the few Céline confided in about the feelings she had for Alear.
Naturally, the whole ordeal was like a fairy tale to her.
Céline thought the same, but this was all very much real, and she couldn’t be more thrilled about it.
Hortensia and Ivy were also present as bridesmaids. It wasn’t just a gesture of peace between the two nations—the queen and the princess were her dearest friends, and they were both eager to see such a momentous occasion for themselves.
“Hey, it’s time, Céline!” Etie, her final bridesmaid, gave her the signal.
It was time—time for her to get married.
Walking down the aisle was as nerve-wracking as she thought it would be. Among the crowd, she saw many people she knew, all staring at her with awe. It did make her feel a little self-conscious, but this was her special day. Some nerves were normal… and in the end, everything would be okay, for she would be united with the man she loved more than anyone.
Diamant was the first groomsman she spotted, then Clanne, and then… her brother.
The reason why Alfred was not walking her down the aisle right now was because he was Alear’s best man. He had made a full recovery and had never looked healthier—and she was so, so happy about that.
After all, she wanted her baby to get to know their uncle.
Céline was six months pregnant—and even through the dress she was wearing, the baby bump was very apparent.
She liked it. She liked knowing that their unborn baby played a small role in their wedding.
…and Alear liked it too.
When he finally saw her in her beautiful dress, he was stunned—quite literally. His mouth was open and his eyes wouldn’t stop staring. Clanne had to give him a quick nudge to snap him out of it!
But he didn’t feel too bad about it; after all, after seeing the most beautiful girl in the world wearing the most beautiful dress, ready to marry you? Who could blame him?
Louis separated from her, leaving her with the man who would become her husband.
“Hey,” he whispered to her, having composed himself to speak articulately… for now, at least; he was a little afraid he would screw up some of the speeches or something, but at the same time, he also knew he could handle anything so long as he was with her.
“Hey,” she whispered back, just as thrilled to see her beloved. When a sudden exhale left her lips, her soon-to-be husband appeared concerned, but her smile reassured him all was well. “Don’t worry. Our unborn is saying hello too.”
Alear smiled, relaxing his posture. “So… is this wedding making up for lost time too?”
“...Maybe,” she winked.
“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today…” Vander, as the officiant of the wedding, began.
The wedding commenced. The speeches were given. The rings were exchanged.
…and when it was time for their first kiss, neither could stop smiling. For a couple so used to interrupting each other with a kiss, it was unbearable that they had to wait for somebody else to finish speaking!
But when that time finally came, and their lips finally met as the crowd erupted into a loud cheer, they both knew one thing and one thing only.
…Perhaps they had finally made up for all that lost time.
