I'm very happy to be a part of the Monster Mash gallery exhibit at Abend Gallery in Denver opening on October 11th.

As a digital artist, I don't do a lot of work with galleries, but this one has many of my friends participating and they reached out to me to make something special for it. If you want to see the opening, there will be a lot of great artists in attendance including myself. So feel free to come out and say 'hi'!

CSP

This is my first time creating a painting with Clip Studio Paint, which I'm experimenting with to see if I have an option to comfortably move away from Photoshop as it continues to drift away from relevance. For digital painting, I think CSP is an excellent alternative to Photoshop and it's available for a one-time purchase of $60. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to enjoy digital painting but doesn't want to deal with Adobe.

One of the upshots of doing this piece in CSP, is that it automatically creates a timelapse video of my work. I missed the first portion of it, but I have the majority of the work captured. Keep an eye out for it in the video folder in the Dropbox:

Hopefully, this will allow me to capture the creation of my concept work as well!

Getting back to the RPG

Next week, I'll be working on illustrations for the boss encounter cards that will accompany the miniatures I will release on Kickstarter next month. The illustrations will be the first I'm doing expressly for RPG content, so it'll be a little different than usual but it should be fun. Keep an eye out for next week's update to see them.

Thanks as always!

First time?! Jeez, this is amazing. I really like the pose, and your attention to detail in the thatching. I’ve been zooming around different parts of it for like 15 minutes already

I've been training this whole year as a death doula (on top of continuing training in herbalism and folklore), and I have to say I absolutely love everything about this piece.
