The Ruler

As adversity washes against us, we rise with those waves. Each moment in our lives where we are challenged by the world, we challenge it back. To be bold and in control is the nature of Verchiel, the ruler. This sign brings with it the courage to bring shining light into a world that struggles against the darkness.

This is breath-taking. More than anything, I am in love with the idea of transcendence in this piece--everything seems to be rising above, up and towards something even higher still. I think this speaks, even more so, with the words quoted at the bottom, that is "As adversity washes against us, we rise with those waves," as though everything in this piece speaks wholly to that aim. It is a beautiful sight to see--to feel empowered with an inner drive to not only rise above but to see it affected in a physical landscape. Truly, anything seems possible with Verchiel in control!
