The second new Watcher that I'm working on for the Oracle deck is Apollyon!

I had a special event on the MidJourney Discord last Friday where I was demoing how I paint and doing a Q&A. I thought it would be nice to highlight a use case for the MidJourney outputs and try out a method of using the AI different from my other recent examples using init_images.This is a collage of a number of Midjourney outputs that I'm using as a basis for Apollyon. This different process brings with it all the same challenges as my usual method, but the order in which I solve these problems is different. What's especially apparent is that the colors are already established at this point, which is very strange for me. While that seems like I have less work to do, it's worth noting that this will dramatically slow my experimentation in the earlier stages of painting. It's a tradeoff, more so than a shortcut.

Overall, I'm having a ton of with this piece so far and I'm looking forward to seeing out the end results compare to my traditional process in both results and the amount of time/effort it takes.

Going to be honest, not really digging the AI style. Something about it feels very lacking, they do not convey the same level of beauty and emotion as the others.
