Sorry for the long absence, I have been having a challenging couple of months and I don't know where my time and attention are going right now. When I'm in a tough place, I tend to avoid posting works in progress because I'm worried the work is not worth sharing, so I wait until I'm feeling more confident in it before I begin to post the progress shots.

This year I have experimented quite a bit with my work methods. Almost to the point where I feel like I've been progressively forgetting how I draw and paint normally.

I spent some time last month looking through some of my older work and I realized there were certain key features I had been silently moving away from without even realizing it. I'm hoping this piece feels a bit like a return to form. Something a bit more dynamic action and depth to it.

I hope you like it :)

Much love,

-Pete

Oh, Peter, I can relate to all of that, and also this beautiful piece. As I age and since COVID quarantine, I'm experiencing all of it more and more, sadly. I love that you're reaching back to the earlier techniques. Love this piece, also. Thank you for sharing it. Self- care is getting more and more integral, I think. Sending my best! Annie

I love the movement and symbolism you created with this peice. I especially love that you named it the angel of amnesia while also having personal focus on remembering.
