Hello my dear friends! I hope you're doing well! :)
Today I bring you something new. I recommend that you read the following carefully, in order to have all the details. I know it's a long post, but it will be on this post only, just to set the context properly.
As many people know, I like to experiment and create new things, rather than simply following trends like others do. I'm a maker and not just a designer, so for me it's important to bring something new to the community and create new things.
Hueforge being an application that is gaining more and more popularity, I said to myself that this application deserved to be highlighted. So I decided to buy a license and try to incorporate these magnificent prints that Hueforge can create into my designs!
I also plan to use Hueforge for Hot Wheels diorama backgrounds (like mountains and forests) as well as other elements to come.
So to start, I created this magnificent Halloween countdown calendar. The backgrounds are interchangeable and you will end up with 4 different calendars which can be sold as a complete set, separately, or sell it as a base with the option of purchasing additional backgrounds for your customers. The choice is yours.
Like the other countdown calendars, three versions are included:
-Days 'til Halloween
-Days 'till Halloween
-Jours avant Halloween (french version)
TWO IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
-I have a full Lifetime Professional license, so I have the right to create and make these STLs available commercially.
-The images are my property, so there is no danger of someone claiming copyright from you. These are not Google images, they are my own images.
FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW HUEFORGE;
Important point; YOU DO NOT NEED to buy Hueforge and you do not need a multi-color printer to print the backgrounds.
The images generated by Hueforge can be printed by any printer, because everything consists of very basic color changes, like for the signages in my dioramas or other multicolor pieces that I make. The only differences; There are three color changes to make in total.
Hueforge uses the natural transparency of filaments to create gradients which gives fantastic results when printed. Matte filaments give less good results than normal filaments, because matte filaments are generally more opaque. But they still work, my white is a matte filement from polyterra.
REGARDING THE PROJECT:
Everything is as usual. No supports required, parts are placed in the correct orientation for printing, color coded file names, and a Bambu Lab file is included for the project. In fact, a Bambu Lab project file is also included for each background.
WHAT'S DIFFERENT:
You will find another folder for Hueforge backgrounds, which contains each background separately.
For each project you will find in the folder:
-Two files for printing (the STL and the text file which ends with the words "describe".
-A Bambulab project folder for each background, with a 3mf file already set for printing.
-Another folder including the Hueforge project for those who have Hueforge at home and would like to modify the projects. This folder is completely optional, you only really need the printing files (the stl and the "describe" file) to print this project. The second folder is there for those who like to play with Hueforge.
HOW A HUEFORGE FILE WORKS:
You simply load the hueforge stl file like any other stl into your slicer. Again, you don't need to have Hueforge for this. Simply use the STL files like any other file.
Then, you open the text file that ends with "describe", and you will have the required colors and color change heights. You have this text file for each background with the correct settings for each one of them.
It is very important to follow the parameters indicated in the file, i.e. a first layer height of 0.16mm and a layer height of 0.08mm for the next layers. That's all.
Regarding the filaments suggested in the text files, you can ignore them and take any brand of filament, the result may however differ a little because each filament does not have the same transparency. But as you can see in my images, I used other brands than those selected for my final prints, and the result is superb. The important point with those recommandations are the colors more than anything else.
It may seem complex at first, but it's very easy and once you've done one, you'll see that it's very quick and simple. Really!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know. I will be happy to guide you. You can also go to the community page to ask questions, many are already used to Hueforge and will be able to help you.

I believe that Hueforge will offer us a wide range of possibilities and I intend to exploit it to the fullest. I still have several things to learn in order to push the software to its maximum, but I have lots of ideas especially for the holiday season!
With that, I wish you lots of fun and I hope you love the end result of this project as much as I do. Your comments are welcome, don't hesitate to let me know.
Note: This text has also been copied to the instructions folder so you don't need to come back to the post for the extra instructions.
I hope i didnt forget anything!
Have fun my friends!
