Good evening, my dear friends!

Tonight, I present to you the new birdhouse, which I've been asked for many times since the release of the police station: The Fire Station!

In fact, I think this is one of the birdhouse designs I've been asked for the most!!!

Well, your wait is over!

I tried to give it a look that matches the previous police station. However, I reworked the entire design. The walls are angled but straight instead of curved. The roof is different from the police station's with its own unique details. The bell is located in the tower rather than at the front, along with several other small details you may have noticed.

I also decorated both sides of the fire station with the firefighter's cross.

In the end, I love it as much as the police station, and the two together are simply adorable!

Just like the police station, the project is very simple:

All parts are positioned in the correct orientation for printing.

All parts print without supports. But i would recommend some supports for the roof arches just to be sure your overhangs come out clean.

Assembly is very simple.

A BambuLab project file is included.

The new birdhouse stand (v2) is included (same as the police station which has been reworked to be easier to print and to better accommodate self-tapping screws, which will be my new standard from now on).

The project is made with mini printers in mind. This will give you a decent sized birdhouse for small birds. If you want a bigger birdhouse, a good scaling factor is 1.3x, which will give you a bigger birdhouse and you will only need to scale the screw size up by 1.3x (m3 will become m4, and m4 will become m5)

As usual, I STRONGLY recommend doing a dry-fit check to see how the pieces fit together (without glue). Do that for each step, and everything should go perfectly!

HARDWARE NEEDED:

You will need the following hardware:

(4x) M3x12mm self-tapping screws

Example of the ones I used:

Some parts require color changes. These are specified in the file name. You can create these with any printer using layer-based color changes. If you are not familiar with color changes, you can ask for help on my community page, members will be more than happy to help you!

IMPORTANT:

The parts that will receive the screws must have enough walls to properly receive the screw and form a solid thread.

I recommend for the base and the red building section to use at least 5 walls.

Regarding the birdhouse support, I always put 9 walls to have a sturdy and strong support.

That being said, you will find in the folder a complete BambuLab project file. Everything is already set with the right parameters (number of walls, color changes etc). For the color changes, they are BY LAYERS and not painted. YOU NEED to slice the plate first to see the color changes in the preview window.

I wish you lots of fun and I hope you love it as much as I do!

Keep printing!!!

Thank you so much 🙏 Just a short question: What PETG filament was used for the gold and the marble parts?

3Dfy

quick and silly question: is 1.3x same than 130%?

Is it possible for you to share the fusion or step file for just the sign? Looking to customize this for a few friends who are firemen or retired firemen. Thanks

Another fantastic Birdhouse Pascal!!! This is a very nice looking house that captures the essence of the firehouses we all grew up around!!! Thank you for your attention to detail and your hard work!!

Just a minor thing Pascal. You forgot in the instructions the white corner pieces that go on that trim out the corners of the building. But, I'm sure everyone can figure out where they go after they print them. :-) They aren't in any of the building instruction pictures or photos either. Great Job again though !!!!

That or just a blank plate to use the slicer to type your own text into would be fine.

Thanks, Pascal, this is really great! :)

Is there a pole inside the firehouse for the birds to use in case of an emergency? 🤣

Looking to buy a resin printer to make models like these. Looking at a smaller build plate. What is the size of the larger parts on average? Thanks for any info!

Sabrina D

Just printed this and it is absolutely beautiful!!!

On your instructions, you missed the 4 white wall corners. 😂😂
