UPDATE: PUMPKIN FAIRY HOUSE NOW ILLUMINATED! (Patreon)
Content
Hello friends!
Today, i'm offering you a small update that's been requested a lot over the past few months. Being Halloween season, it was the perfect time to release it! The pumpkin fairy house is now hollowed and can be illuminated with a battery operated tealight!
I say "small" update, but it still required a bit of work. Since the model wasn't originally configured to be hollowed out, I had to rework certain sections and find a way to hollow out my model. When a model is already completed, it's sometimes very difficult to go back or modify it, depending on how it was originally built and the modifications that need to be made. But as far as this one is concerned, that's ancient history, because the challenge has been met, and it's now available for your enjoyment!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND DIFFERENCES FROM THE OLD MODEL:
The pumpkin must be printed with supports. I tried to avoid them, but unfortunately, we have no choice. The height of the pumpkin doesn't allow me to have an angled interior to avoid the large flat section at the top, otherwise the battery operated tealight wouldn't fit inside. So, supports will do!
I haven't included instructions. You can refer to the instructions for the old model, but with a few differences;
The only pieces you'll glue to the base are the fence and the lamppost. Nothing else, because you want to be able to remove the house to access the tealight. All the other pieces are glued to the house before placing it on the base, even the stairs.
On the old model, the window panes were separate pieces. Now, like most of my windows over the past few months, the window panes are incorporated into the window frame. So you have to make a color change to the correct layer on the window to have the window pane transparent and the frame a different color. Same goes for the door.
And that's about it as far as differences go.
Of course, I've included a Bambu Lab project file in the folder. The supports and color changes are already applied. Remember that the color changes are applied per layer and not painted, so you'll need to slice the plate first to see the color changes in the preview.
So that's it.
I've placed the files in the original post, which you can find here:
Hope you like!
I'm going back to finalizing the big Halloween model coming soon! Have fun, friends!
