Hello my fantastic friends!

We're officially switching to holiday designs! Sticking with my usual routine, while I work on a larger project for you, my dear friends, I took the opportunity to work on a smaller, quicker project: these cute little Christmas lanterns, the ones I told you about the other day!

In short, it's a project almost identical to the Halloween lanterns, with a few exceptions:

-The base of the lantern is thicker and more detailed.

-A black border has been incorporated around the images to avoid a gap between the black frame of the image and the lantern's frame.

I printed mine with pale gold filament, which is a shade I love for Christmas. Unfortunately, it's a special edition that Polymaker made for Christmas 2023. I don't think it's still available. However, any type of gold will do, and even a beautiful silver will give a fantastic result.

That being said, the rest is identical to the Halloween lanterns. I invite you to reread the Halloween lantern post where you'll find all the information about the bambu lab project, the color changes, the type of battery operated tealights I purchased, and other important information.

So i'm not taking more of your time! I hope you like them as much as the Halloween ones!

I'm going back to my 3D software to continue working on the next project! Stay tuned, my friends!

Have a nice day everyone!

Do you glue the images to the frame as well or did you make it to where they slip in?

The base where the tea lite is placed, is the broken surface intentional? In the slicer it is all broken up on the top.

Hello, Due to a long hospital stay, I was wondering if I could pause my subscription. I don't want to lose all my files, but since I'm in the hospital for a longer period, a break would be very welcome! Unfortunately, I'll miss the latest files until I can reactivate my subscription, but that's the way it is. Is there anyway to download all the files I've had access to so far at once? That way I won't lose them. Thanks in advance! Kind regards, Desiré

Hello mate, Are we allowed to slight modify them? I printed the Halloween version ones but I hang them so I had to glue it all together, the issue is when the tealight runs out of battery I keep breaking the glue out of one of the sides, if I made a screw in slot in the base for the tealight spot, that would fix the issue, am I allowed to modify it? Cheers

I used the Bambu Candy Red Silk+ for the lantern and they came out beautiful! Christmas colors for sure. If liked at the shows, I might try some gold for the lanterns next.

Just started mine using Silk Metal Copper by ANYCUBIC. Hope it looks good :)

Hello Desiré No, since the files are now directly into the posts, you have to download them one by one. But don't worry, You won't loose any files because when you'll be back, you will have access to all the files again. I don't archive the files, every member has access to all the files when they join, no exception. ;) That being said, I wish a prompt recovery and that you get better as soon as possible! Have a great day! Pascal

Hey - I'm printing this- and have tried TWICE now to print the panels (I'm printing 1 of each) - and both times - it starts out doing some layers of just white on bottom - then it does a FULL laer of black over that?! Has anyone else had this happen? I printed the Hallowee lanterns just fine - so /I don't know what is going on here.... (using a bambu, using the bambu file) I posted photos in thye facebook group, but i'm wondering if somethnig is wrong with the file that it's printing full layers of black on top of the bottom white layers!) :(

I redownloaded - and I am enlarging this - when I enlarge it - it suddenly adds a layer of all black after the white - h0w can I fix this please?

Keri Zwerner

ooh, would you share pics of this (there's a PA1 Maker group on FB for that!) - would love to see that!

Kelley

Just done these lamps and got to say how easy they are to print for a relatively newbie like me ...
