Hello fantastic friends! I hope everyone is doing well!

Here tonight are not one, but two new additions to the Christmas Gingerbread Train!

A new flatbed car, with delicious Swiss rolls serving as large logs.

And three new track sections, an item I've been asked for many times in the past.

These two new additions enhance this beloved train by adding new options and details!

What's important to know:

Let's start with the new car!

UPDATE 2025-10-27: The wheels of the wagon were reversed (the stripes) compared to the other train cars. I have updated the files with the right ones. Sorry for that my friends!

It's as simple as all the others! No supports are required, the parts are easy to print, and the overall construction is very similar to the others.

All parts are already positioned in the correct printing orientation.

A Bambu Lab project file is included, with all the settings already configured.

Some parts require color changes per layer. This can be done on all types of printers; no need for a multi-color printer.

For the Bambu Lab project file, the parts that require color changes are already configured, but per layer and not painted! You must slice the plate first to then see the color changes in the preview.

The only small point I forgot in the project was to include the paintable wheel in the folders, rather than the multi-part version, but you can have it in the folders of the other cars, so it's not really a problem.

I'll finish by telling you to refer to the instructions carefully so you don't miss some important tips and information!

Now for the tracks!

Three types are available!

A classic track, with conventional sleepers.

A "Kit-Kat" track, with sleepers that are roughly the same shape as that well-known chocolate.

A red licorice track! Which, by the way, is my favorite!

The track project is pretty simple in itself. Print, assemble, repeat! That's it! Simple as that! That's why there's no instructions!

Two important points, however:

I can't make curved tracks at the moment. The reason is simple: I need to rework the train car bases to allow the wheels to be mounted on buggies that can pivot and follow the tracks. So, for now, I've focused on offering tracks that fit all the trains already printed. If I have time, I'll look into the option of train cars with buggies later, but you'll have to consider reprinting the entire train for those who have already done so, as the entire base of each car will have to be changed.

Another point: Sometimes I go too fast... And that's the case with the tracks! I don't know what I was thinking, but I completely forgot to take mini-sized printers into consideration!!! It's almost shameful of me! 😂 So, these tracks won't fit on a mini-sized bed, but rest assured, I'll be coming up with a version for you my dear friends soon!

Just like the new train car, the tracks have a Bambu Lab file included. And like all my projects that require color changes, these are already configured, but by layer and not painted!!! You must slice the plate first to then see the color changes in the preview.

I think every important point has been covered. If i forgot something, just let me know!

The new files are in the original post of the gingerbread train, which you can find here:

So that's it my friends!

Have fun!!! Pascal

Oh wow. I printed the gingerbread house last year for family and friends. This year I'm doing the train. I just joined your Patreon and I'm seeing all these extra parts for the train. At this rate I'll still be printing them for next year's Xmas 😂

Matt Marmet

Fantastic. Thank you for the addition!!

Natalie Johnson

These are absolutely genius additions, Pascal! So good! 😍

Adam Jones

What a tasty addition to the train!!! It will be hard to keep the children (myself included) from trying to eat these delicious looking rolls!! Thanks for a great addition to the series and sharing with us!!

Kelley

do we have a link to download?

Stefano Gallarini

Hi! Did you noticed that the lollipop stripes are reversed respect of the other vagons? They are clockwise and not counterclockwise.

PA1 MAKER

You are totally right Stefano! I didnt noticed at all!!! I have made the changes in the zip file. Now the files are correct. Thanks for notifying me! Have a great day my friend!

Lukáš Konečný

Would it be possible to draw the end of the tracks? Otherwise, I really like the tracks.

Michael Szoke

The Train looks fantastic, thank you for the great project. One question...I would like to fit it into my existing Christmas village. Does anyone have any experience with scaling the train down to say 50% of the original size? Will it print and assemble OK at half size? Thanks for any input.

Stefano Gallarini

In the instructions I cannot find where to glue the cabin side icing strips... did I miss something? 🤔

Samuel Incani

I'm already printing it so I can add to all the pieces printed last year, however I still want 1 wagon and 2 different ones, because the file is beautiful

Stefano Gallarini

Sorry if I repost the comment, but ask to the ones who built the Locomotive 🚂 where to glue the white cabin side icing strips... they are not mentioned in the instructions and I cannot see them in the pictures. If someone has built it in the past (as Samuel said) where he glued the strips? Please help. Thanks! 🙏

Patrick

I made a start and end track by cutting off the first sleeper for the start piece and the last sleeper for the end piece. Bambu studio I just added a negative part rectangle.

Kimberly S Tritt

I have a couple questions, what would the print time be total for the whole train and the tracks, is it 1 track per train car? Thanks I have started printing this, but if someone asks e how long did it take to print, I want to give the hours, not just x amount of days. Thanks for such a wonderful project.

I have printed the new Train tracks twice now and one side of the white top rail on the licorice track comes apart when taking it off the plate I have posted a pic on the facebook page as i cant find where to post here

Howard Bunn

I completed this entire project this week and the wife loves it! Can you add curved tracks in the future to curve the train around the base of a Christmas tree?

Alex

Ciao, ho iniziato a stampare la stazione, ora vorrei scaricare questo file ma non vedo alcun tasto per farlo. Come mai? Grazie

Fred Decker

Could you list the filaments used please?

Robert Cook

Claude Grevé

Ronn
