UPDATE 2025-12-05: Alignment holes were missing on the platform end parts (left and right). They are now present. Some of you have also mentioned having some issues with the platform bases and a fit that's too tight. This is often due to the fact that the insertion is perpendicular to the print lines, and depending on the printer's flow, this can make things difficult, especially if there's a slight over-extrusion. So I've reworked the bases to give them more functional play at the dovetail joints. It should fit much more easily now! Sorry for these inconveniences! If there's anything else, please don't hesitate to mention it! Have fun!

Hello friends! I hope everyone is doing well!
Tonight, I'm offering you what is probably the perfect complement to the gingerbread train: the gingerbread train station!
Magical and enchanting, it goes perfectly with this train that you love so much! I don't think I need to tell you how much I love it!
LET'S TALK ABOUT THE PROJECT!
Let's be honest, it's a big build! But I couldn't pass it up; it was a must, and I'm sure you agree! And the good news is, I managed to design everything so that it's printable on a mini printer! So it's within everyone's reach!
Some have printed a few train cars, others have made them all. Well, I'm sharing the beauty of this design with you: The train platform is modular! So whether you have a small train, a large train, limited space, or simply want to keep things reasonable, the platform can be any length you like.
You can also customize the platform. Add a lamppost to each platform, one out of every two platforms, or just at the beginning of the platform. It's entirely up to you; you just need to print the right parts.
The project, like the train itself, is very simple! So I'll give you a few guidelines specific to this project, but it's all within everyone's reach.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:
- The project technically prints without supports. However, because the main parts of the station are printed upside-down, the straight bridge of the window might pose a problem for some. I recommend using supports if you encounter any difficulties. Don't worry about the quality once the supports are removed, I made the window frames accordingly so that they would hide any imperfections that might occur due to the supports.
- All quantities are indicated except for the train platform components. You print the required quantities according to your chosen length and configuration. To make things easier for you, all the elements in this assembly are identified by "Platform" or "Lamp Post" in their name. The only element not identified this way is the Christmas wreath.
- Regarding the wreath! You will find two files to make it: the front and the back. The back is a mirror image of the original wreath, allowing you to glue them together seamlessly to create a double-sided Christmas wreath. In the Bambu Lab project file, they are placed together in pairs.
- Pay close attention to the red rectangles on the front and sides of the station. Do a dry fit check without glue, as I often recommend, to ensure you have the correct pieces and position them correctly.
- As usual, a Bambu Lab file is included with all the settings and color changes relevant to the project. Remember: My color changes are applied by layer and not painted, so you must slice the plate to see the applicable color changes in the preview window.
-The Bambu Lab file is designed for a project with 6 long platforms, like my longest setup shown in the photos, and is suitable if you have all the train cars printed. Adjust the quantities according to your lineup and your options regarding the train platform and lamp posts.
-Please read the instructions carefully! I've tried to make everything clear and easy for everyone. It should all be relatively simple as long as you read the documents thoroughly. Get a head start on your steps by reading the following ones; this will help you avoid some mistakes if you know what comes next.
-The lampposts and the clock are illuminated with 3mm LED lights. The info is provided in the PDF.
For the station, i used 4 rechargeable tealights. They are also listed in the PDF file.
-Regarding how I wired the lights, I've included a small PDF file in the zip file showing how I did it, as well as a materials list.
So I think that covers everything. I have put in this project a lot of time, making many modifications and validations to ensure it was modular, printable on a mini printer, and easy to assemble. If I've missed anything, please let me know.
Have fun! I'll be back soon with much smaller and quicker-to-print projects!
