Hello everyone!

A new addition to the Hot Wheels diorama collection for all 1/64 scale diecast fans!

I've wanted a small, typically JDM garage for some of my cars for a long time. Every good Hot Wheels fan has at least one or two JDM cars in their collection!

Well, here it is! Packed with details and new elements to enhance your collection.

I want to mention something right off the bat; I know that for some nationalities, the flag of the rising sun isn't well-regarded, sometimes even being seen as the swastika. It's something i've learned recently. However, in the JDM community, it's very, very present, and I wanted to include it anyway. I hope I don't offend anyone, and since it's a completely separate design element, you're free to print it or not. Again, I hesitated for a long time before including it in the package, but it's strongly represented in the JDM community, and I wanted to be as authentic as possible. I hope I haven't offended you, and if so, please accept my sincerest apologies in advance.

That being said, I've included new elements and reworked some older ones to give my garages a fresh look.

New logos are featured. In fact, the Mugen logo took quite a bit of work! As you already know, I don't use any image files (PNG files) to create my STL files. I completely redraw all my logos in my software to ensure they are printable and that the line widths are correct. I must say, the Mugen logo wasn't the easiest to redraw...

A new overhead lift, different from the one that already existed.

A brand new 4-post lift, or if you prefer, a parking lift.

A redesigned compressor, simpler to print and allowing for easy color changes.

A longer toolbox with three sections.

A brand new tire rack.

The kit also includes two garage options: with or without roof trusses. You're free to choose whichever you prefer. You can see both options in the photos above.

Otherwise, it's like all my other Hot Wheels dioramas:

No supports are required.

All parts are pre-oriented for 3D printing.

File names are color-coded, with quantities and settings where required.

The project is printable on a mini-format printer.

Some parts require color changes (by layer), but you don't need AMS to do this. This can be done on any type of 3D printer. If you're not familiar with color changes by layer, visit my community Facebook page for help.

A complete Bambu Lab project file is also included. All settings are already in place, including color changes, etc. Remember that color changes are by layers, so you must slice the plate first to see the applicable color changes in the preview window.

A quick note about the tires in the tire rack: You can buy sets of Hot Wheels wheels on Amazon for a ridiculously low price. In my case, it was about forty wheels (10 sets of 4) for around $15 USD. They're a great addition to your dioramas. You'll have to cut the axles, but it's easily done with a pair of wire cutters.

For everything else, it's just like my usual projects! Fun, patience, and joy!

If you have any questions or if anything seems off, please let me know!

Have lots of fun, everyone! See you soon with some new birdhouse, fairy house and bird feeders designs!

Take care and thank you for your continued support!

This is awesome and accurate. My son and I are big into the JDM community. I'm definitely making one for his Miatas.

Just wondering how hard would this be to scale up? My husband builds 1:24 scale models and I'd love to print this for him. Does anyone know what scale hot wheels are and if I could scale this up that much?

Chris West

1/64 Some parts may not fit if you scale up that large. -Chris

Another fantastic addition to the Hotwheels Diorama collection!!!! Thanks for all the hard work & attention to detail you put into these and then sharing them with us!!!

The Dragon Burrow Designs

Awesome design. Quick question? Are you planning any patriotic designs for the USA 250th anniversary houses? I hope so. thank you

Chris West

That’s a fun idea, but I don’t know if Pascal would do that. He’s a Canadian after all. -Chris

The Dragon Burrow Designs

Very true, But he does have a lot of American subs so was worth an ask. Can't wait for the next house no matter what it is

I love the hotwheels collection. Any chance of doing some more less industrial/commercial buildings? Like maybe a general store? I like my villages quaint. Thanks in advance!

Chris West

Check out the Christmas village. Lots of 1/64 scale general buildings there. As well as the back to the future collection. -Chris

I've printed all the Christmas village. Was hoping for more along the same lines! Thanks!
