Hello friends!
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this summer!
Here's the second Halloween design! This time, i'm combining Christmas and Halloween to bring you my first Halloween Nutcracker, which I've affectionately, and rather unoriginally, named...: The Spooky Nutcracker! 😂
It's a relatively simple project that offers several assembly options!
Standing upright, with arms at its sides.
Arms forward, like a zombie.
With a base for added stability.
Without a base, and I can assure you it's still very, very stable.
With or without eyes. I admit I had a hard time choosing, but here we're going without eyes; my sweetheart and I prefer it that way. But the eyes are included and its up to you to use them or not!
The current height is about 320mm, but the project can be scaled up or down without any problem. (75% of the actual design is the smallest i have tried)
The mouth is moveable and if your settings are as correct, the lever with the lower jaw will be perfectly balanced to stay in the position you place it.
For the rest, it's a breeze!
A few parts require supports, but nothing too complicated. They're more of a "preventative" measure than essential, as I've tested all the parts without supports and they still print very well. However, for a nicer, almost perfect finish, the supports help compensate for the slightly tricky overhangs.
The only parts that require a color change are the arms.
It's really simple: you go from black to green once the shoulders are printed, and that's it. If you're not familiar with layer-by-layer color changes, just ask for help here or on my community's Facebook page. It's really easy, and all 3D printers, without exception, can do it. No need for a multi-color system.

The files are coded by color, quantity, and settings, as usual.
A Bambu Lab file is included with all the color changes, settings, etc. Remember that my color changes are by layers and not painted, so you must slice the plate before you can see the color changes in the preview window.
For the rest, just follow the instructions and do some dry-fit checks (without glue) here and there to see how the pieces interact with each other.
So that's it!
Now, have fun! I'll be back soon with more projects, fun, and surprises!
See you soon, friends!
