Good evening, my dear friends!

Christmas on my Patreon means new additions to the Gingerbread Train! It's a must-have that will stand the test of time!

(NOTE: THE WHOLE SET OF PHOTOS IS COMPLETELY AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST AND THE ZIP FILE CONTAINING ALL THE STL FILES IS JUST BELOW THE PHOTOS.)

So, tonight I’m introducing a new addition: the well car!

Here’s what makes this design really fun:

The container doors open, allowing you to hide candies, small gifts, or anything else that brings you joy!

I’ve included a blank side panel in the files so you can write the name of a child, your significant other, or anyone else you’d like to give the container's contents to. So it can be used as a gift box if you wish!

The container isn't glued to the flatbed, so you can easily remove it. You can even stack containers on top of each other, next to the tracks if you like.

Since some people didn't like having to glue the candy-cane stripes onto the wheels, I’ve also included a "painted" version (for the slicer) if you prefer to print the wheels as a single piece rather than gluing on the green and red stripes. These were already available in the locomotive files, but I thought it would be handy to include them with the container files too, making them easier to find.

As for the rest, it’s the usual setup:

No supports required.

Some parts require color changes by layer, but the whole thing can be done on any printer—no AMS needed. If you aren't familiar with layer-based color changes, feel free to ask for help in my Facebook community group (link below).

A Bambu Lab file is included, featuring pre-configured color changes by layers, settings, and necessary speeds. Remember: for color changes by layers to appear in the preview window, you must slice the build plate first.

THAT SAID, THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS ALSO IMPORTANT:

If you aren't using the Bambu Lab file, remember to reduce your speed for overhangs. This is the only way to get clean, neat curves on the base of the car.

Optional parts—such as the blank sign or the monoblock wheels—are identified in both the project file and the individual filenames. In the project file, these are placed on the three last build plates to avoid confusion.

Follow the instructions carefully, and be sure not to glue the doors of the container, or the container to the base of the car! Don't hesitate to do a "dry fit" (without glue) to see how the parts assemble.

I think that covers everything. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

If you need support or want to share your prints of my models, here is the link to my Facebook group:

Have fun printing, everyone!

Take care—I'll be back soon with new models for you to enjoy!
