Hey my friends!

Just finished this one! Wanted to make a new articulated model and i choose this cute, detailed robot scorpion!!

A bit challenging to print but nothing really special for an articulated model. Good bed adhesion, nice overhangs and good bridge settings. The tolerances are smaller than usual on certain parts, so overextrusion will weld the articulations together at those places. Watch for this carefully.

Do not use a brim! It will get stuck in the articulations. If you are experiencing bed adhesion problems, use a raft instead if you can. All the scorpions on the picture were printed with no brim and no raft. Only good bed adhesion and a skirt.

Two sizes are included.

-One scorpion which is 225mm long (suitable for Ender3 and Prusa mk3s

-Another one of 170mm long. For the Prusa mini Owners.

Again, if you have any problems or questions, send me a message! I'll try to help you as much as i can! :)

Have fun, and hope you like this baby!

Just got done printing the larger version, turned out pretty cool. I used petg and 0.16 layer height, 0.35 for the bottom layers. Are the small parts of the claws supposed move? That's the only thing that looks like it should move that doesn't on ours. I might have done my bottom layers too thick.

Where i can find the dropbox link?

Sorry for the late response, i was really busy the last days. My apologies!!! :) Yes they are supposed to move. I have tried a few times, and i got one which didnt move. I tried to force it just a bit, gently, from side to side and it worked. maybe you can try that! But itsfor sure the trickiest part of the print. Its the smallest joint and over-extrusion will fuse the parts. I will add a test file, for the claw in the folder. Think this will help a lot!!! :)

No problem, my son (4 yo) already snapped it off, so I fused it in place with a little heat. I'll try out the test file before printing it the next time.
