Here's another LED lamp, this one featuring the silhouette of a cute butterfly.

A nice addition to your kids bedroom (or yours!), or a nice product to sell in you Etsy boutique!!!

This is not extracted from an SVG. All lines were modeled by me with 3d printing constraint and line widths in mind. So its prints very well without having to fine tune your settings for days... The only thing is, when doing the outer line (the black lines), be careful with your temperature to prevent stringing. That's the only issue i had on one of them. Keep the temps as low as you can, with good retraction settings, and you will have a perfect butterfly at the end.

FEATURES:

-Fits Prusa Mini-No need for transparent/clear filament-100% support free-Easy to print/assemble-Full access door at the back-Can be scale by 133% to have a bigger lamp (see note below)-Two backplates included: One blank and one with a slot.

INSTRUCTIONS:

You will need (5x) M3X6mm screws (imperial 6-32 equivalent will work too)

Print one of each part following those recommendations:

For the light box and the backplate: Use a 0.3mm layer height. Fast print, can be done under 4 hours with the right settings for the light box and under an hour for the backplate.

FOR THE BUTTERFLY SILHOUETTE:

Use a normal filament, the color of your choice, for the base layer. You don't need to use a tranparent or clear filament, the face is thin and let the light easily shine through.

Use a 0.2mm layer height.

You will have to change filament color with a pause at height (Or color change, the one you prefer) at the corresponding layer.

Once everything is printed, glue the face to the light box and install your led strip inside from the back. When finished, simply close the backplate and the assembly is done!

IF YOU CHOOSE TO SCALE IT UP: Use a scale factor of 133%. You will have to replace the M3 screws with M4 screws instead. ;-) If you have some trouble, i'll be there to help you! Just send me a message! Have fun! :)
