Hello friends! Those boxes are an old design that i forgot to put in the dropbox. Someone told me about this this summer, and i totally forgot to upload them. But Thanks to Paula, who notified me again about the missing files yesterday!

Those are really simple to print.

No need for support, parts are already placed in the right orientation, and all you have to do is make a color change for the cover. If you are not familiar with color changes, just send me a message, i will explain that to you with pleasure.

Have fun!

Another note on the pencil box is that they are not actually long enough for a brand new No2 pencil. Can these be two inches longer?

PA1 MAKER

I will make an update for that. ;) Thanks. I will also make the wider and longer box as requested below. As soon as i have a few minutes, i will arrange that! ;) Thanks again my friend!

So I just started printing these and I have a few suggestions. 1 about 50% of the time, the part to lock the lid in breaks very easily. The other thing could you make another mandolin one without the targeting sensor? That way it resembles mando a little more and a little less boba fett?

Cara Ermirio

Because of the locking tab I either can't get the lid on or I can't get it off. Any suggestions?

PA1 MAKER

push down in the center of the cover while sliding it, it will bend a bit and it will be easier to open/close. ;) I am working on a new version with a tab printed separately from the box. With the new printing orientation of the tab, it will have more spring action and it will be easier to close/open the box.

Why does it tell me I need a password to extract the files from the download??

PA1 MAKER

Not supposed to. Did you try to download them a second time?

PA1 MAKER

But wait before printing them, i am coming soon with an updated for the locking clip and updated stl files. 😉

David Jarrell

I have the same problem with the truck and trailer. I have downloaded them several times. I delete the files and empty the recycle bin each time before I download them again. Not sure what is going on there.

Is there an update for this box for the locking clip? I didn't read the comments and I printed the box and I am unable to slide it closed. Thanks!

These are awesome. Could you please do a Hot Wheels box as well? Pretty Please.....

Larry Fanning

please explain to me about the color changes.

PA1 MAKER

Great idea! I have a couple of designs in mind!!! Will do this for sure! 🙂

PA1 MAKER

Yes my friend! Which printer and slicer are you using?

Larry Fanning

creator ender pro 3 and I am using Ultimaker Cura version 4.11.0

PA1 MAKER

In cura it is pretty simple. You slice your model first, and in the preview you're gonne identify on which layer you need to make the change (in this case, the first or second layer of the graphic). Remember that number. I said "first or second" because when you are not familiar with this, using the second layer is often easier to be sure to put the color change at the right place. 😉 When its done, you will need to add a section of g-code to make the pause. For that, you go to "extensions" on the top menu, then "post-processing", then "modify g-code". A dialog box will appear and you'll be able to choose "pause at height". The pause at height is, by default, set with a height in mm. But you can change this for a specific layer number. Change it and put the layer number corresponding to the one you found while slicing. Then re-slice your part and your color change will be added automatically. I am not the best for explaining or teaching something, so here's a link to a quick video that shows the whole thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1vO_bsWBDk

Printing Grogu on Bambu right now.

Dr. C.

So, I printed the Grogu pencil box and it came out really well. I have two pieces of feedback. 1) the locking mechanism needs a bevel in the cover and the latch to allow it to release easily. As designed I was not able to get the lid off once it was on. I made a small bevel to the next print on the lid and the latch and it works great. 2) Would you consider scaling these to be three times wider? Kids have the larger pencil boxes and my grandson point this out to me. Love it and printing several more for the other kids.

Printed R2 and I cannot recommend these boxes enough! They are great!
