UPDATE: FILAMENT LIST AT THE BOTTOM! ;) Hello my friends! Few days ago i promised to start the Christmas production earlier this year, so here's the first model for 2023 Christmas collection; The Gingerbread House!

You can use it either as a candy bowl (see photos) or a lighted decoration!

Like all my projects, all the parts are already placed in the right orientation for printing.

All the parts are support free and you don't need a multicolor printer to print this model.

Plus, the whole project is printable on a mini size printer like the Prusa Mini. So everyone will have fun with it.

Please, read carefully the instructions, because this project is a bit different than my other ones. Some parts, like the windows and door are different than usual.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

-FUZZY SKIN:

To add a snow effect, the base is printable with fuzzy skin. Two bases are included, one designed for a regular printing, the other one is for fuzzy skin settings. The tolerances on the holes are a little bit greater to compensate for the fuzzy skin. So use the right one! :)

You can also use fuzzy skin on other parts. But remember; fuzzy skin add some thickness to the parts. So scale them with this in mind. For example, i have use fuzzy skin on the chimney snow and the Christmas trees. So i have scaled the chimney snow at 103% to be sure it fits on the chimney. And because the christmas trees have a candy on top, with the fuzzy skin i needed to scale the candy by 103% to make sure it fits on the tree pin.

-CORNER TRIMS:

The corner trims on the house are all differents. So to simplify the whole thing, some parts are labelled with "A" "B" "C" "D", and the others are labelled "1" "2" "3" "4". You will find this info underneath each trim once printed. Refer to the instructions to see where each trim is glued.

-THE LOLLIPOP

You will find two versions of the lollipop in the files.

One for the regular printers. Which means you print the red stripes and the white section of the lollipop separately, and then you glue them together.

One version for the BambuLab Owners with AMS. A complete lollipop (without the stick) with the red and white stripes incorporated in the same file, ready for painting in bambu studio and being print with the AMS.

-DRY FIT CHECK

Always make a dry fit check (without glue) before gluing!!! This will prevent costly errors and you'ill be able to see what could cause a problem or not...

BAMBULAB OWNERS:

A 3mf file of the full project is included in the files. But look closely, some parts are optionnals, like the base (fuzzy skin or not) and the lollipop (both versions). Choose the ones you want.

ORIENTATION:

Some parts have a specific orientation. Like the icing on the roof, which seems square but its not. With the dry fit check i mentionned above, you will be able to find the correct orientation prior gluing.

Because this project is a bit different than the others, i have included those instructions to the files. So you can refer to them at any time in addition to the regular exploded views.

FOR THE LIGHTING:

I use 5 flameless tealights. (battery operated, can be find in any dollar store)

So that's it for this one!

Files are in the dropbox under: "CHRISTMAS 2023 - THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE"

This is truly unbelievable. Also thanks so much for always thinking about people who don’t have a fancy multicolor printer and also people with small size printers!

This is lovely! such a beautiful piece! I need your help PA1 I wanted to get your items on Amazon and amazon handmade but they do not allow logos on the photos do you have photos without your logo on them?

Andrew Smith

Already printed one and it is on my desk with lights inside :D. My co-workers are jealous.

PA1 MAKER

Thanks a lot Aaron! Its really important to me to make my designs with everyone in mind, no matter which printer they have. Its not always possible, but 95% of the time i am able to do it and i will always do!

PA1 MAKER

Hello Kiara! Which projects? Send me a private message with a list of the photos you need without a logo, and i will try to help you with this. ;)

3D Creations

Is this trans pla for the windows? Also, what filaments did you use for the orange and yellow?

Marcel

This one is sooooooo awesome!!!

PA1 MAKER

Hello Nicholas! Yes, its clear filament. But i didnt include the brand in the listing, because this filament come from a company who deceived a lot of customers. I am not using this brand anymore, had a lot of problems with it, from terrible spooling to exploding spools on the spool holder (spool halves badly glued together). But any transparent or clear filament will do the job. The orange and yellow filament are from filament leftovers. So i don't have the info but is you want a nice, bright color, go with polymaker or Spectrum Filaments. Those are the two brands i use the most and the quality and colors are amazing.

Marcel

Soon I’ll create a reel ☺️

3Demoniak

Oh my god ! Elle est absolument parfaite ! Je vais manquer de temps pour tout imprimer !!

Karen Persyn

I have just finished printing most of this, I just have a question about the transparent filament, what's the best setting for this? I have not printed with transparent before any help would be appreciated 🙂

Steph Smith

Are we allowed to use the photos to gain interest for sales? Do you offer the images without the watermark?

Cynthia

i love all of your designs.! i am looking forward to printing and assembling these with my grandkids.

Eva-Marie Nathalie Rogerson

It looks amazing! This is my first design from you that I will attempt to print... could you please tell me the dimensions of the finished house?

Heather Miller

At 100%, it is roughly 7"x7"x7". It's gorgeous!

Jake Corbett

Question about the base, has anyone had any problems fitting the lollipops (that are to the left and right of the door) into the holes? Mine don't seem to fit and even with forcing them in, they will not go in. Do I need to scale them somehow? Thanks.

PA1 MAKER

Hi Jake Technically, they should fit, but sometimes the fuzzy skin can cause a problem because it is totally different from one printer to another. Just scale the sticks by one or two percent and it should be fine.

Matt Marmet

I was wondering if you could turn this Gingerbread House into a birdhouse. I'm starting to get requests for a Christmas birdhouse. Thanks.

Mtlchick

When I made this the side windows were too small when they printed? Wondering if anyone else had same issue?

Christopher Pierce

Is anyone else having problems with the 3MF file? When I load it into Bambu Studio, I get an error that says "Invalid name, the following characters are not allowed: <>:/\|?*" (including its escape characters)" -- the file loads, but the plates don't all show up correctly.

Robert Cook

hi there i started to print the ginger bread house and the white base seams to shift half way through printing ive tried a few times

SLD DESIGN
