The One Political Issue That Unites All of Us

Mr. Beat explains corporate welfare. I mean, he tries to, at least. He really does try. Joe Cook's Common Sense substack: Produced by Beat Productions, LLC and Matt Beat. That's crazy! Huge companies like Apple and Disney get subsidies?!!!

Gael Guerard

Excellent video Matt! Since when did the government care if the population was for or against something? The system does seem to be rigged. I think you are right. Because I'm one of those voters against corporate welfare. That you mention at the end.

Joe Cook

Loved it! 🔥🔥🔥 It’s great to support your work and see the creative ways that you take legitimate social, economic, and political issues and tell them in an entertaining way. Bravo, my friend!!

Gael Guerard

Do you have any thoughts about the Billions being sent to Ukraine or is that too hot a topic? Video on endless wars?

Naterade

George Carlin said it best. “Governments don't want a population capable of critical thinking, they want obedient workers, people just smart enough to run the machines and just dumb enough to passively accept their situation.”

Naterade

You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own, and control the corporations. They've long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear.”

Matt Beat

A tale as old as time, and what makes the United States so great, though. Historically we have been one of the first places to break through that trend. Unfortunately social mobility is getting more difficult these days.

Reynoldsburg OH, by Columbus, near my brother - a retired fireman. Same phone number. Text if you ever nearby!

(In case you didn’t pick up on this, my two comments were part of the same Carlin bit) I am just sick of the whole “pull yourselves up by your boot straps” attitude some in our country profess. While hard work, talent and smarts are certainly instrumental in one’s success, you also need breaks along the way be it contacts, money or resources to quote on quote “make it”

Devin Canada

I don't believe that corporations can be separated from the people who run it. their actions, values, beliefs, and motives go into corporation

Devin Canada

John Stossel is libertarian and would be considered left leaning back when Bush was president. im not sure if libertarianism should be considered leaning right unless you think that the influence of libertarianism is so ingrained into the Republican party that it is the new right since the teaparty movement.

Devin Canada

Great video i do love knowing that in the modern day a hatred of corporations is a unifying factor.

Daniel Kolbin

Carlin used some exaggeration and satire to make his point, but there is still a serious message behind his words -- just not literally word for word I think.

Matt Beat

Yeah, my view is that the Republican Party is far more in line with libertarianism these days than the Democratic Party, although there are libertarian strains in both.

Daniel Kolbin

Aren't Libertarians basically socially left-wing and fiscally right-wing? Then again, the meaning of left and right changes over time...

Hubert Horatio Humphrey!

Definitely, i think thats why Bernie got a lot of love from both dem's indpendents and conservatives.
