Secret Sketchbook #5 🌸 first 20 pages of my new sketchbook ! (Patreon)

Hello Patrons !

I started a new sketchbook in January, I haven't drawn much in it yet, but I thought I'd share the first 20 pages with you !

I'm using a black ballpoint pen (as usual) to sketch, and decided to experiment with leftover acryla gouache and pastels too.

This sketchbook is from Cultura (a book/art supply store here in France), I bought it for 5€ ! It's a hard cover, size A5 and it has 200-300 pages I'd say. So it's a thick one this time !! I bought it 2 years ago so it was about time I started doodling in it.

Most reference pics I use are from Pinterest ! Some doodles (mostly flowers) are from memory. The goal of this sketchbook is to sketch what I see, observe the subject and try to understand it (hands, silhouettes, animals, fabric folds...).

These are the digital sketches for the Microdose Show at Nucleus Portland I printed out to paint on paper. I kept them because I like the way they look together !

That day I sketched at a café so I took my phone out and looked at pictures of my dogs, Marty & Cosmo Some Pinterest inspo ~ Klimt page - his women are so beautiful and their faces are never the same ! I admire the diversity in his characters' features

A bust + some ideas for a new artbook !Washi by Leigh Ellexson ! Drawing the same thing twice (or more) is so helpful to improve ! And a chubby cat on the last page That's it !

I guess I'll post again when I've completed another 20 pages 😊
