Hello Patrons !

I hope you're doing well !

I took the week "off" - I stayed away from social media, thought about my work, cleaned the studio, did some sketchbooking, taxes, and painted my version of "The Swans No1" by Hilma Af Klint (1915).

I sketched a bunch of Mermay ideas this week, and I wanted to paint a white swan with a black mermaid, and a black swan with a white mermaid (as a series of 2 paintings).
Then I thought of this painting that I pined a while ago.

I love the contrast and how the painting is split in half ! So I thought why not use this as a base ! I tried to roughly make the same shape as the black swan for the mermaid :

Final painting :

It was a fun exercise ! I hope you'll like it !!
Maybe I'll paint the mermaid/swan diptych I had in mind someday, but I know it will definitely look something like this !

Also I reorganized my paint drawer ! I bought little cases, sorted them by colors and painted the caps so I can see the colors right away !! Sharing the tips if you're like me and waste time looking for a color πŸ₯²

Thanks again for your support on Patreon !! πŸ’˜πŸŒΌβœ¨

Hugs,

Sibylline
