iPad sketches ➰ Tapestry series ➰ Preview (Patreon)

Hello Patrons !

I have been stuck for a month or so with my art, I don't know what direction I want to take, what I want to paint, what I want to say...! I feel like this happens to me at least once a year ! It's not a nice feeling but it helps me figure out a bunch of things about my work and myself.

So I thought the best way for me to get out of this slump is to draw a series of illustrations (that's what I did last year with the Celestial Friends and Dragon Vase series !).

I thought I'd do it again, and I have had this idea of including rug/tapestry patterns to my illustrations for a few years now. I decided to sit down and figure out a way to do that this week !

Here's what I came up with :

1/ Flora

 2/ Astronomy

3/ Fauna (very rough sketch, still working on this one ! Not sure about the pattern, colors & pose (not sure about the whole thing basically))

I thought it'd be fun to work with negative space, too !
My favorite is the Astronomy one 💫 which one do you prefer ?

I will start painting the Flora sketch today, hopefully it will be done on Monday or Tuesday so I can move on to the second one very soon !!

That's it for today, I hope you'll like it !

Thanks again for your support on Patreon 🧡✨

Hugs,
