Astronomy Tapestry 💫🌙 Process + Preview (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,

I just finished the Astronomy tapestry painting !!

I wanted to include a lot of little details so I painted it on an A3 piece of paper.
This one was my favorite of the Tapestry series, so I started with it :)

As usual, I took some pictures while paintings. I also recorded some process shots to make a reel for Instagram !

I took pictures at the end of each painting sessions !
A session is about 2 hours of painting.

First - sketch + black outlines (face is looking weird)

Background - I have this bad habit of painting the character first... Painting the background makes the whole process so much easier !!

Warm colors 🌻

Finished painting !

I didn't know if I should trace the borders of the character or paint the folds in her clothes... I just ended up leaving it white.

Details !

Colors I used :

And the palette !

I hope you'll like it !!
I want to complete this series as soon as possible but I have to work on 6 (or 8, I don't know yet) paintings for the Coven show at Gallery Nucleus in October. So be ready for witches !

Thanks again for your support on Patreon !! You're the best 🫶💛💫

Hugs,

Sibylline
