Kiki & Jiji 🧹✨ First fanart in ʏᴇᴀʀs (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,

I finished all the paintings for the Coven show !! So I thought I'd draw some fanarts because I haven't been able to paint something for ∼fun∼ in years !

I am having another solo show later this years in Bordeaux, France, and I thought I'd take a few weeks just for myself and just paint fanarts/studies/movie scenes !!

I had this sketch of Kiki and Jiji in my iPad for years (I think it's from 2022). I love the color palette, and the square format is such a cute touch.

So I started painting it yesterday - also tried to document the process as usual but it took less time that I thought (I only spent a few hours on it).

So here's the sketch on paper + black outline (with acryla gouache, not regular gouache) :

This is at the end of the first painting session (yesterday, it took approximately 2 hours) :

And I finished it today, here's the final painting :

I love this color combo so much ! I used to use it all the time in 2021 💓

I recorded some of the process with my phone to make a reel for Instagram, let's see if I actually edit it and post it 🫠

It's so nice to paint something without thinking too much. These past few years I have been painting for gallery shows, and never really took the time to paint something else than illustrations that could fit or be used in an exhibition. I'm always scared to "waste" time with fanarts or studies. Which sometimes makes me frustrated because this type of little paintings make me so happy !

I hope you like it !!

Thanks again for the support on Patreon, and thank you for allowing me to draw fanarts !! 💖🌸✨

Hugs,

Sibylline
