Bat Cave 🦇🩸Process + Preview (Patreon)

Hello hello !

I just finished this vampire painting... Well "finished" isn't the right word since I used Procreate to finish it digitally !!

I've always had trouble with her feet (I drew this in 2021 I think) - I never knew how to properly position them. And of course I didn't figure this out before starting the painting (●'◡'●)

I didn't want to spend more than 3 days on this because I am going to LA for 2 weeks very soon and I want to have some content ready before leaving, since I won't be able to paint there 🫡 Anyways, I took a picture of me in the same position with my shoes this morning, then took a pic of the finished painting, and started drawing in Procreate using my pictures to see if it would fit her position :

I thought, if I want to use this vampire lady for my solo show in Bordeaux, France, in a few months, I'll just have to paint them when I get back from the US in November !

As usual, I didn't take too many pictures as I was recording a reel for my Instagram. But since there's no feet on the actual painting, I won't be able use the footage 🫠

I take a picture every time I finish a painting session, which is about 1h30, 2 hours.

You can see that I tried to sketch over the painting here, and quickly gave up when I realized I was going to ruin it (✿◡‿◡)
I thought it would be wiser to do it on Procreate first to see how it would look like !!

It's been fun painting cute dogs !! I like this one because he's more cartoony than my usual style 💓

I don't think the feet saga was interesting but sometimes it just happens and I thought I'd share this frustrating adventure with you 🥰
I hope you'll like the tiny animals sleeping in this cozy bat cave !!
