Anastasia ❄️ Movie scene preview + process (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,

Winter is definitely here in the French Alps, and the weather made me want to paint a snowy scene from Anastasia !

I started painting the background with blue, but then I realized I had no clue how to recreate the shape of frosty trees in the back - it's very subtle in the actual scene...

It took some time to figure it out, but once I understood what would look good and create the "illusion", I enjoying it so so much ! It was somehow relaxing and satisfying to see the forest coming to life !

Painting a background is so interesting ! I learned a lot while painting it. The use of blue and brown here fascinates me ❄️

Once the background was done, I started painting Anastasia, and her face was so small I had to repaint it a few times to make it look like what I wanted !!

I added Pooka to this scene to make the frame less empty ! 🐶
I painted this over two days, so I probably spent 4-5 hours on it (since I don't paint more than 3 hours a day because my hand hurts after long sessions !).
