Checkmate👑 New illustration preview ! (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,

I just finished this painting !

I have always wanted to draw something inspired by chess (I don't play but it intrigues me !). I read The Queen's Gambit last year and it made me sketch some ideas at the time.
I thought it would be a nice piece for my solo show, so painted it big on an A3 paper.

I didn't take pictures while painting, but I recorded some of the process to make an Instagram reel !

I didn't finish it time to get the good light (aka direct sunlight), so I had to edit these in Photoshop (whites on the original pictures were blue). I hope it's not too bad, I still see it but hopefully it did the trick !! I just wanted to share it with you right away 🥰

Colors I used :

I called this one "Checkmate" but since I'm not a chess girl, let me know if there would be another good title for it !

I hope you'll like it ! Maybe it could be a good combo with the Moon girl for February ?
Moon girl in A6, Chess girl in A5 ?

Thanks again for your support on Patreon !! 💓🌸✨

Hugs,

Sibylline
