Hello June 🌼 New illustration [preview + process] (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,

Happy June ! We're starting the month with a soft and simple painting. I drew this in my iPad last summer and never painted it on paper 🌼

I started it this morning and finished this afternoon, which I think is a first !! It always takes at least two days for me to complete a painting.
These days I want to simplify my designs and spend less time on my illustrations - I think I really need to get away from the "perfect" aspect of a finished painting.

Black outlines so I know where the important lines are underneath the first coat of gouache :

First painting session (this morning, approximately 90 minutes) :

Second session lasted about 1 hour !

Thank you for supporting my work during the good and bad times - I have been thinking a lot about my work and what direction I want to go with my art lately. It's not been easy because I tend to question my career and my art a lot. I'm still processing the burn out from earlier this year (after my solo show) and still trying to figure out what I want to do next. So it means a lot that you guys are still here despite the lack of posts or inspiration. So thank you 💓
