Hi Patrons ! 🌸
Thank you SO much for your feedback on yesterday's post !
You seem to prefer desk calendars, but I will create a little poll on Patreon today just to be sure. I see why a desk calendar would be the best option, though !
Today I started the 2020 calendar with January's illustration ! It's a wintery one, and the girl kind of reminds me of Snow White 🍎 and is based on this picture, for Hannah Kristina Metz. I have been into big puffy sleeves lately !
I finally got to use my Holbein acryla gouache paints - my review : 👌😍💖
Here's the final result :
Colors I bought ! This is basically the palette I'll use for the calendar :
Colors I used on this painting :
⚪ Burnt Sienna
⚪ Orange + Rose
⚪ Shell Pink
⚪ Misty Green
⚪ Blue Green
⚪ Jaune Brillant
Paper : Canson XL Watercolor

What I think about Holbein Acryla Gouache
The colors are so nice, and very easy to use. I forgot to buy black paint and used my black gouache from the Winsor & Newton designer set and it works just fine :)
Holbein is expensive though. I bought these online, they were £5 each. I think it's worth it if you use it all the time.
I personally think it's a time saver to have nice paint ready to use instead of 3 primary colors you have to endlessly mix (my nightmare haha).
Overall I am really happy with these acryla gouache paints and I can't wait to work on this calendar !!

And some bonus pictures because I love this color combo ✨
That's it for today !
Happy weekend my dear patrons 🌈✨
Hugs,
Sibylline
