Hi Patrons ! 👋

Today I can finally share an illustration I made for Netflix new show "Cursed" !

They asked me to draw something to promote their new series a few weeks ago. I had 1 week to complete it and I only had the first trailer on YouTube to help me find some inspiration.
I haven't watched it yet but the first images from the trailers are amazing !

So here's the process - I had to sketch an idea, so I sent them these two drafts :

They picked their favorite sketch (the first one yay). Then I had just a few days to complete the painting. Since I didn't have much time, I thought I'd edit it in Photoshop or Procreate if there was anything I wanted to change or add quickly.

This is the finished painting :

This is the edited painting (I made her lighter so she stands out more, I added some white details and made the waves darker in the foreground) :

That's it ! 🤗

I am glad I had the opportunity to work with Netflix ! I worked with Netflix France 5 years ago (I think ?) for Orange is the New Black season 2, but I enjoyed this collab more because  surprisingly, I was free to draw whatever I wanted as long as the main character and the sword were represented !
I wish I could have watched the series beforehand so the illustration would be more alive and personal. But I hope you guys will like it !

Thanks again for your support on Patreon 💕

Hugs,

Sibylline

Aaaah, this is so exciting, I love this painting so much, it looks so great! I fell in love with it when I saw it on Instagram a few weeks ago and to see it here with work in progress pictures is so great! I really feel like I'm able to learn so many things just by looking at your pictures! Also congrats on being commissioned by netflix! 😱🥰💕

Thank you so much for sharing ^^ I just had a question regarding how you clean your palettes after using acryla gouache? Is it easy enough? Seems like acrylic gouache is so tough it could destroy the palette, as it'll dry solid. May I ask how hou tackle it?
