Mermay #1 🐚✨ Pearl Keeper (Patreon)

Hello Patrons ! 🌼

I was sick last week so I couldn't prepare for Mermay like I wanted ! That's why I did record a process video or took process pics while painting this one. I slowly got back to painting last weekend and took my time to make something nice.

So I just finished this little painting (I wish I made it larger because it was tricky to paint !).
I have been very inspired by Art Nouveau illustrations lately and thought I'd include some ornaments to frame this painting 🥰

I liked the idea of a mermaid watching a giant, precious pearl in the ocean. Like a dragon and its treasure ! But with less fire and more water 🐟 Also had fun with the gradients on this one !!

Mermaids were boring to me a few months ago but I found myself having fun with them again when I painted the merms in the vases earlier this year !

We'll see how many I actually make this month 🤗

I hope you'll like this one !!

Thanks again for the support on Patreon 💕✨

Hugs,

Sibylline
